They were broken?
[/ QUOTE ]
They were pretty messed up. People lost badges, you couldn't team in the enemy base without crashing, the other SG would all spawn at the same place. Can't remember what else was messed up but it was about as much fun as being squashed between Mako and Black Scorpion in the back seat of a Mini.
Edit: My last post in this Thread is about the last time AoW did a base raid.

How about the crashes? -
[ QUOTE ]
ah.. well tbh, in a case like this, the SG shouldnt own a baseso it still feels as a good balance.. but on another matter.. unless they release IoPs soon, no1 is gonna care about bases anyway other than means of transportations =(
[/ QUOTE ]
True, storage is good too. Having insp storages and autodoc in bases is great in more regular zone pvping.
Btw that 3-person vg just got a functional base of hospital, crafting table and some storage. I love the new additions.
I still dont see what IoPs have got to do with base pvp though. If its not happening without IoPs it aint gonna happen with them either as IoPs suck. -
The animations arent too bad if you only do PvE though.
-
Afaik in blinding powder the confuse chance is 50% and cannot be enhanced. smoke flash is 8 sec placate against critters and 6 second placate against players according to prima guide. Blinding powder confuse should last 20 seconds unslotted (when it hits).
Both dont seem good enough, i have skipped them with my pvp stalker because the ninjitsu build is quite tight enough. -
Archery and assault rifle I would shun away from, dunno about sonic, otherwise the primary doesnt matter much. Ice,fire and elec are favored i think. Edit: ok if you dont pvp then the primary can be anything.. though its easy to start pvping with a good blapper
Elec or energy as secondaries are the ones to go if you want good blapper really. -
Yeah, i was talking about theoretical possibility. It can be a case of everyone being offline long enough however, the 3-person vg i was on on cov got base locked down for rent of 330. Purely theoretical example but i wanted to say it is possible to go negative prestige.
I was highest rank but i couldnt enter base after it was locked btw. -
[ QUOTE ]
since rent is deducted from SG-networth, this means ur SG will never reach a minus-situation, but will be able to reach a standstill vs rent.
[/ QUOTE ]
Unless you buy stuff with the prestige and dont sell items to pay rent.... Then the base will get locked down and you cant sell the items anymore..
I understand Dev's wish to create a soft cap for SG wealth, but Im sure there must be a better method for it..
In practise this will just lead to a point where the SG will stop evolving like Dr.Death proved which should NEVER happen in a game like this. Players will just lose interest because I sure wouldnt bother playing just to 'uphold' the situation. Too big Sg is like a no-win situation. -

You go /dark without stamina, good luck trying to solo harder EB's.

Which ones are the harder EBs? -

Get the exploration badges for those zones while in SG mode <img src="/uk/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
[/ QUOTE ]
NOTE: you only need to visit the badge locations of a zone in SG mode. It doesnt matter if you already have the normal explo badges, you will unlock the beacon still when you visit all locations.
For COH there seem to be beacons for all zones except PVP zones and hive after todays patch. -
isnt red hot rock still in 0 life and a sub?
-
While superjump is propably the best travelpower geared to pvp, I think it would be wise getting your only travel power a bit earlier.
-
Hmm if its the same as combat logs for the tech version, then you need to unlock the 3rd SG healing badge. The second badge unlocks an extra that increases the HP the rez ring will rez people to. Unlocking the 3rd badge is far easier said than done though, and I suspect serious farming is required. (my Sg had to farm with one team for one evening to get the first badge even - and the requirements increase tenfold for every badge..)
-
Personally I hate Stun, as it has too long activation time for my liking. It does 100% stun chance though, but still.
Id recommend beanbag. -

One problem Pious, with getting Stamina, if you're a "hands on" MM; you'd have to pick two of Sprint, Hurdle and Health.
I don't see any real situation where Sprint and Hurdle would be preferable.
[/ QUOTE ]
My MM has tp as primary travel power, even a little bit of extra from swift and hurdle help inside instance missions. -
It is getting looked at, you know.
The prestige boost patch is on test server now, also. -
To even up i can play my stalker, lvl 31. No retsu or stamina but its possible for me to play it.
-
If it is what i think it is, unlocking the SG healing badge(s) is required.

... then you could tp foe him back while the recharge of teleport is debuffed below the floor..
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah... TP (self) has 0 recharge and will recharge automaticly...
And even then, sorry to disappoint you, nothing will stop him from getting close to you and fire away 2 hits and kill you with all that fury gained from the hencemen...
[/ QUOTE ]
Oops well that was mistake, anyway Im anxious to find out when I get my mm high enough. Too bad prima guide doesnt tell ebout electric armor..
Hmm for some reason I thought we were talking about elec/stone brutes.. I havent had all that much trouble against elec armour with my blaster.. so far.
And btw the MM will debuff your damage, toHit, etc.. I almost went as far as claiming it debuffs mez resistances but im not sure about that. One herobuilder claimed that it does. -
Heh, I just had to post this here. I was in Sirens with my stalker recently, and one scrapper was apparently developing a grudge towards me. I noticed that he had come to the villain base possibly looking for me and had arrogantly jumped on the metal walkway overlooking the villain base, staring intently at the villain hospital.
I approached from behind and - web grenaded him. Now he couldnt jump away from the walkway, and couldnt go sideways either as those directions were guarded by drones. Then I noticed a large herd of arachnos troops scuttling towards him. I helped his self-imposed demise with a couple well placed strikes. Lesson: Watch where you step -
For zone enviroment design Recluses victory, but in actuality Sirens is my favorite because thats where the players are.
I have never actually had much fun in warburg as its more like chat and duel zone as opposed to proper PvP zone.
By adding bounty system to recluses victory (or all zones actually) would make it more interesting. As it is, recluses victory doesnt work because heroes and villains have no conflicting interests there (especially when combined with really good rewards and very dangerous PvE mobs). Therefore it is better for them to work together and leave the pvp. I thank devs for making a zone for PvP but little bit extra design would be needed for players to act like they are supposed to. Just add incentive to take out other players. EDIT: although the rewards had to be redesigned, mere SO enhancements would propably not be enough as you can get those by farming pillboxes.
Avoiding PvE mobs in RV is a LOT easier than in warburg or sirens btw. -
Robot/poison mastermind: debuff his heal, regen, recharge, movement and what not; debuff his resistance by something like -60% (for one out of 2 minutes at a time, -30% for the other) while your robots fire away. Only option left for him is to escape with teleport, then you could tp foe him back while the recharge of teleport is debuffed below the floor.. well this is my plan how my upcoming mastermind would do it
Anyways, Im sure there are a ton of characters capable of killing such a brute. I dueled one brute with my blaster once who was forced to run while power surge was still running. The other pvp specialists will propably tell how they'd do it soon -
Spines/SR is great for zone PvP, and particularly in the concept of so-called stalker-hunter. Character with increased perception to counteract stalkers hide (focused senses + power pool tactics) and immobilize, slow and ranged attacks for catching the fleeing stalkers that spines gives. This in addition to good defensive capability you get for merely being a scrapper.
For other forms of PvP in more confined spaces such as arena and base raids, invul and regen are propably slightly better. SR doesnt cope well against overwhelming odds when elude is not running. -

I'm sure you will take great offence to this but it sounds like you don't have much knowledge of Dominators, which isn't necessarily your fault since they have been fairly scarce. The most recent change to domination is live by the way, with the last patch.
[/ QUOTE ]
I don't take offense because you are essentially correct. I'd like to have a reason for playing my dominator (mind/energy btw) to high lvls though.
I tried to find a dominator last night, before going to PvE with my Sg mates, my recon found out that sirens had 13 people, no doms, warburg had 3 people, no doms, RV had 3 people, no doms.
Day before yesterday I teamed with one dominator in sirens though, she complained loudly about the same thing I did before exiting the zone.
Anyways, offtopic over, acrobatics is nice to have but its not really necessary in zone pvp.
Anybody who fancy a match with their dominator, search me out from the pvp zones of defiant. -
[ QUOTE ]
This is not correct, you can use Domination like a BF to break a mez condition if you choose. The mez protection is pretty good compared to other squishies since very few have mez protection (exceptions being some corrs and some MMs), it's also available at any level, not just as a high level Ancillary power, which it is as least as good as.
[/ QUOTE ]
the change isnt live yet afaik..
Sorry, I wasnt on the same wavelength. I was thinking about having domination running to actually make something happen in PvP, ie. kill somebody. Or even hold somebody. Having mez resistance is pretty inconsequential since it does little to improve their survivability, which is next to none. As a blaster/scrapper/stalker/whatever I woudlnt even bother mezzing a dom, I would just kill them straight.
[ QUOTE ]
I'm fully aware of the difficulties of fighting scrappers. Given the fact that it's possible for almost any scrapper to kill almost any squishy with a single attack chain I can't see how this is unique to doms.
[/ QUOTE ]
Once again sorry for being unclear.. I was thinking along the lines of overall strength, and doms are bottom of the barrel in my list atm.
Im waiting to see the dom to make me change my mind.
Dont think ive yet seen a dom even kill somebody with or without domination.
Edit : and sorry for continued offtopic.
Apart from reminding that the new changed domination protects from knockback.. -
[ QUOTE ]
What defence does your ninja stalker have? Afaik there isnt any KB protection in the nin set.
[/ QUOTE ]
If you are not hit by the attack that causes knockback, then you are not knocked back. Duh.
edit: granted the stalker doesnt have quite high enough defense to feel comfortable, but reducing the opportunities when I can be attacked and using insps.. well. Let us say that im not a scrapping stalker.
