  1. Hmm Im not much of an expert with these sets yet, particularly storm, but..

    I think one thing to concentrate on is combined repel from telekinesis and hurricane. Using telekinesis requires 3 end reduxes in it and stamina I think, and Im definitely going to slot it with 3 recharge as well for PVP with my dominator.

    Important powers from mind are: dominate, mesmerize (both to be spammed), telekinesis, terrify. The rest arent bad, but arent as good either. Confuse can sometimes be fun

    From Storm propably hurricane and snow storm at least, I dont know enough of storm to know how they should be slotted or what powers to take. I know there are stuff to take from there.. Lightning storm has been dropped by toggledrop nerfs from 'must have' into 'unnecessary'..

    Hurricane slotted with at least 3 toHit debuffs I think.. (toHit debuff is its primary function) Hasten of course.. hmm.

    Way it works is when domination is up a second mez is applied on top of the first with double the duration, so the magnatude is only doubled for half the time in effect.

    However it is damage that is +50% (base).

    This is how it works. The base magnitude of dominator holds is the same as with controllers.

    And doms need a buff.

    Are these the buttons from simple commands? then I even think the arrow is aggresive/follow. Complete MM newb here tho, so I might very well be wrong. From your advanced pet control you can affect their mode (defensive.passive etc.) without an additional command tho, usually use this myslef on my low lvl MM

    I do indeed use the simple commands and this is where I have been going wrong. I will give the advanced controls a blast when I get into PvP land again...

    All you need for basics is a keybind for "petcom_all follow defensive" and a "petcom_all attack aggressive" icon as your first attack. That carries far..

    Afterwards you can explore the micromanagement like ordering specific pets for follow defensive and others attack etc. I still think that the above two should be enough for most cases. Also goto binds are useful. It is easy to go overboard with them commands though

    Certain types of highlvl masterminds can be godly in PVP when played well.

    For PVP, group teleport is useful imo, as is tp foe.

    Have to take crashes into account as well, somebody might crash between the time of the brawl and when holding phase was going on..

  7. Well to get containment the mobs are obviously controlled

    edit: well kinetic maybe not best secondary for someone wanting controlling action. I think im gonna roll grav/ or mind/ coupled with forcefield, sonic or rad.. I already got mind/ff though.

  10. Fire/kin does massive PvE damage, Ive seen my friends troller at work and the problem was getting transference off because the +3 mob spawns died too fast..

    Seriously brought back memories from pre-ED..

    I have never thought about mind/kin however, as those sets dont synch particularly well - no pet to buff for starters. Mind is good but maybe not with a /kin. Grav is good but light on damage, good on control. Both mind and grav are great for pvp though.. But they dont synch that well with kin.

    A /kin troller in pvp might instead concentrate on using secondary for buffing and have extra utility from primary..

  12. There arent any reliable detogglers left in the game after the detogglepercentages got crucified in a patch. Lets get over it.

    Lets just say that according to devs, detoggling isnt needed in PVP anymore..

    Dominators got the best one to detoggle ONE toggle and they are also propably the AT that benefits from it the least.
    Controllers can alos overcome mez resistances, hold and detoggle that way, but it requires work, same as with dominators.

    Tanks, brutes and scrappers dont get any (apart from brawl and im not believing in power pool attacks like boxing until i see it myself) . There is a difference between a real toggledropper and toggledropping via a mez effect like disorient. (note toggledropping attacks were introduced to give non-melee ATs a chance to fight in PVP). With a 'real' toggledropper im referring to an attack that has a % chance to drop a random toggle on target on hit, regardless of opponents protection. Those are listed earlier.

    Stalkers have toggle drop chance in their AS and thats all.

    When it comes to overcoming mez resistances and dropping toggles that way, Dominators are propably the best.. They are also the squishiest of squishy, the lords and ladies of squishiness. If you got a team that doesnt let enemy lay a finger on you, then dominator is nice. (I got one, wish Id get him lvled..

    Dominators also get the attack with highest toggledrop chance.
  15. I agree that moving rooms is a royal pain in the *rse. One reason is because the game does not intelligently move the doorway to the spot where it would fit. Always have to remove blocking objects even if there were free space on the next square.

    Having enough prestige and plot to buy 'holding rooms' to hold the salvage items while I move the room is one option. Shouldnt be needed imo.

    I wont stop you from joining.. but your right lvl 36 Corrupter would be a low level compared to the lvl 40 - 50's you be facing. I would like to say you can play and every fight you fight will be fought at lvl 40 but thats unfair to all the other fights and players. I need to keep each match pretty much the same standard. The line i must put is the matchs will be fought at level 50. sorry level one of your toons to 50 and next time join in.

    I recommend simply superheavyweight class though, my blaster was beating people in that class before I finally managed to drag him to 50

    I agree that lvl 30 is a bit too much though o.O
  18. iirc trip mine detoggle chance was increased to 10% in some patch or another? SOme time ago I was hunting for some patch notes and it cought my eye for some reason..

    Looks pretty good list though..

    Oh I have faith in the devs for several reasons. They just happen to ignore some things completely for inordinate periods of time..
  22. Definitely 6-slot dull pain, 3 recharge, 3 heal. One of your most important powers in PVP.

    2 accuracies in each attack as a basis. (remember PVP base accuracy is 50% instead of PVE's 75%)

    And reconsider getting focused accuracy, its worth it (but needs 3 end reduxes)

    Also I suspect the recharge in UY is a typo?

    If you want to lose something from the build then losing tough hide is a good option.. tbh Id rather take any of auto resist powers than 6-odd% of defense..

    Quills and invincibility are worth less in PVP than you think. Consider getting attacks or stamina earlier instead.

    It's a good job that Lightning Field (and all other PbAoE affects) count as Melee rather than AoE then, isn't it? The only "true" AoEs are things like Fireball (if you stand next to the target, but are not the target yourself) and "placed" AoEs like Volcanic Gasses.

    Im somewhat suspect over the coding of pbaoes and indeed melee cones (which I beleive should count as melee) in the game as even with a double parry buff dm stalkers nearly always tag my SR with shadow maul.

    That said as a stalker deterant its not much cop, it may stop a stalker 10% of the time, if this is your intention I wouldnt bother with it, far better powers in both sets to take

    I agree, but I wanted to be optimistic and he asked for an opinion Plus I saw Plight stop a regen stalker in a duel effectively with it. (regen stalkers are propably the only ones it does work against though)

    Looking at the contestants so far, I think it would be wise idea to have a category for beginners ^^

    Two-player team is a great idea though Although even if non-squishy ATs were allowed, the teams would have propably looked much the same..

    As a guess and judging by other comments on this thread, the bigger room may be able to hold defensive items. Untested though.

    Nope, need to be secure teleport room for defense items. Sec.tp room DOES hold 4 teleporters though (and is the cheapest room to hold defense items).

    The 3x3 tp room holds only the same two tpers that the 2x2 room does, but you can only fit the tech raid teleporter into the 3x3 room (I suspect devs just goofed that one up). More room for the same price however isnt bad, which you will figure out when tryin to make connecting doorways.

    Do not underestimate the importance of room size and shape, both small rooms and big rooms are important when trying to fit them to the same plot
