  1. ...Right. I wasnt looking at the right place. Dammit. The supergroup listing when searched for your own SGs name gives the correct total prestige. Somebody could have pointed that out.
  2. a.) The guy in atlas park does not report total prestige since part of that is in the base items and rooms. He only says how much SG has available to pay rent. Theres actually no way to find that out except by calculating yourself. Or selling everything in base. Or if the SG happens to be in the TOP x of SGs chart. And lord knows how often that list is updated.

    b.) I couldnt care less for prima guide.

    That's the question... The only way to know is to collect a maximum of evidence, not just thoughts or impressions. Every SG leader should check each time they have the feeling that something is going wrong. And /bug (and also report it here on the boards) if that's not working as documented.

    From the beginning, I've been checking the figures. At first to try to determine on what rent was based. I found it was paid on the capital just before it was officially announced. Then to check the chart Statesman gave us. All I can say is that, for us, the figures have always been as described in the book. FWIW, we're a small-medium SG with a total of 5 millions of prestige (on Vigilance, last time I checked, the top SG was somewhere between 12 and 15 millions, can't remember exactly).

    One thing that I want to test, is does the rent go down if the prestige owned goes down(and no new prestige is gained). Should be possible to test this on test server by using a character to make SG and base, and then pay rent once and then watch what the next rent payment is like if no new prestige is made. The second payment should be smaller than the first.

    RP supergroups are propably rare and your hope is to find out them by asking in the RP forum maybe. PVP supergroups, well I know only one on defiant and dunno whats their policy on beginners.. . Im sure you'd be welcome to Goonies if we can get a spot open as we have been pretty full lately.. I PVP myself a fair bit, but goonies is just a SG of casual people having fun. We're anxiously waiting on Issue 8 and the supergroup size change so we could merge our various alt supergroups..

    No way to learn drawing except to draw. Although ability to draw live does not instantly trasnfer to drawing comic figures, it is a basic necessity.

    Which would propably be a good one to consider for many beginning drawers. It seems to have good cover of basics, and seems to concentrate on identifying different types of superheroes and villains and how to draw those. It isnt particularly marvel-style, or manga-style, but simple comic style that reminds me of TV cartoons. Looks simple and should be a good starting point.

    I have several how to- books and this is my favorite.
  9. Im more or less available regardless what day it is, but preferably try to start the raid earlier than 8pm. I have this timezone problem.. I agree wih others, once every two weeks is about as often as I'd care to do it.

    Even though I started playing villains in beta.. Shows how tedious the lvling process is.
  11. You could do what I did in the beginning, team up with players, and if you meet people you like, /friend them to try team with them in a regular fashion. Invite them to your SG. Especially if they are new like yourself. Then discover COH together! I still think that if a player has time to chat a bit they are usually ok people

    Thats how Goonies started out, although we founded the SG with a grp of 6 players iirc.

    thats the thing right there the total prestige earned has nothign to do with what you do with it selling base items dosnt efect your total prstige earned in any way. that number is automaticly ipdated as people actuly earn and dose not have anytihng to do with how much is in the base kitty or how much the base is worth.

    my groups total earned is curently at about 15mil with our about 270k'ish holding us at 17th on union. this is our second time in the top 20 the first time round we lost alot of members and our activity droped alot to almost none in this time we had to downgrade our base back to basics and droped down to about 34th in the rankings as other groups earned more than us and passed us by. during this time our rent in no way slowed down or got less the increase remained at a steady pace.

    it was during this time that i worked out that rent is not base on how much the base is worth or how much your sg has ti spend its based on your total amount of prestige earned something like 2% or 3% not alot but as you earn more the rent will continue to increase even if all you earn each week is enuff to pay your rent it still adds to your total earned making your next rent higher

    AR/NRG Qusetions

    Personally I'd say that Energy manipulation is all good with the exception of Stun which you should skip. Total focus is just as good disorient and does like 50000% more damage..

    Power boost has 3 main uses in my own game:
    1. buff aid self so that it heals about 70% hp bar.
    2. buff toHit boosts of Aim and buildup so I hit thru every defense Ive come across.
    3. buff disorient duration in Total focus (and if you have other kind of mezzes like an epic hold them too)

    Boost range is all good and perma with 2 slots iirc.
  15. Insp dispensers (which will only sell cabs and greens at first) require the first SG healing badge.

    No, there is no other function to medical room than to be resurrected in it(it will return to 25% health, not full like normal). Rezzing in base is important in base raids but less so otherwise. You can also put storage items in infirmary.

Instead the total amount of prestige earned will slow in its increase while the 'rent' will remain at it's last level and only take a longer period to hit the next increase marker but never actully fall to a lower rent as total prestige earned will not fall.

    Total prestige will fall if SG sells stuff to pay rent. Or just plain pays rent while not earning more. Rent is the only thing that can reduce the total prestige of SG.

    Considering situation where SG stops gaining prestige, it will either sell stuff to pay rent until finally hitting 0 total prestige or will not pay rent in which case base will become inoperable until the last rent payment is paid.

    Stalkers dont overacheive in pvp, they overacheive in a certain lvl range along with spines/regens.

    Its a bug thats been tested and identified and should be fixed, the code to fix is already in place for pve

    Gawd! I had misread the post you linked to. I thought this only applied when stalker itself was under effects.. sorry. This is indeed weird bug and needs correcting. Weird that it hasnt happened to me so far.

    Our team of 16 heroes & Shivan Decimators took a shielded turbine generator down in under 3 minutes.

    We've taken down several other generators in live instanced raids. Some of the times it was close to the hour mark and was an incredible battle of attrition, being defeated, spawning back in base & tp'ing back to the raid again over & over, but it's doable, and once the generator goes down, the raids almost won.

    Taking the generator down is the attackers most achievable method of getting the defenders out of base.
    Picture this, it takes less time on the long animation setting the Pylons up than it takes a full defending team to get across town from an outside hospital back to the base portal and fighting through the secret entrance. I've seen it happen several times where the attackers have not even scored once on the anchors, yet past the 50 minute mark they've takne the generator and defeated the defenders out of base, and under a minute later all the Pylons go up, the anchors come down and the raid is won by Pylon Disruption. It happens really fast. So fast and confusing that one VG actually thought they had won.

    I've had a long look at our base items, and I'm hard pressed to think of anything I'd rather lose over the Turbine generator.
    Is smashing up bases "griefing"? No, I'm afraid it's not. There's things in bases that play lesser or greater roles on raiding, but base stuff is going to be as fair game as any player entering a PvP zone. I find it discomforting too, but that's going to be the reality. Personally I will think long and hard about raids, and I'd not be inclined to do it without a full team of 16 able to drop everything and defend the base in the raid windows.

    Also, raids will have peoples best builds, lots of Insps and lots of temps in the way of things like Shivan Decimators and Warburg nukes. Particular characters will get ganked non stop the whole time. I hope people getting involved in raids are going to realise all of this before hand.

    If raids will be like that they will be dead from the start. No casual SGs will be doing them.

    Whether it is griefing or not, it is the one issue why we (the goonies, alternate goonies, goonieatrics, possibly our coalition friend SGs too) will decide whether or not to get IoPs. (those theree Sgs will however propably merge if they introduce the SG member limit change..)

    However, after I participated a test raid on test server, it looks like base trashing is not going to be an issue unless raids are changed again. It is practically impossible to trash bases because of the short time limit (30 mins) and the humongous durability of items. Any kind of interference from the defenders is good enough to prevent wanton item destruction.

    First a big thank you to all heroes that helped me finally get the elusive Scirocco!

    Then apologies to any villains who I went after and didnt know there was AV hunt going on. My patience wore out when it seemed that villains would ruin my AV hunts always (this was 6th AV hunt for me before I got the badges). I don't normally act that way in PVP, so apologies if I was unnecessarily harsh.

  22. Imo the point being is that you can avoid this bug simply by paying attention to the icons and choosing right moment to placate instead of using it as a brainless "get out of jail free" card. I like that actually.
  23. Integration doesnt give slow resistance or tp foe protection iirc. Very few things in game does. Anyway, one definitely good one is Unyielding from invulnerability. It and entropy shield are propably best all-rounder status protections.

    Hmm.. Entropy shield - resistance to: disorient, hold, sleep, immobilize, tp foe, knockback,knockup,repel, defense debuffs.

    Unyielding - resistance to: knockback, knockup, repel, disorient, hold, sleep, immobilize. And of course small resistance to all damage but psionic.
  24. I don't want discussion about right and wrong (note that the word exploit only exists in the topic), Id like all readers go ingame and /bug the cases mentioned here. That way problems may get fixed.

    Or discuss here about a good suggestion of the best fix.

    Tbh this is first I hear of this. This requires further experimentation .
