I think Kheldians should start with 2 slots default in their forms powers rather than 1. That'd help with the slotting problems.. -

But part of the problem (as Ext mentioned) is most villain teams in Sirens don't seem to work together. They don't keep buffs applied, the don't spike targets etc. That's not an issue with the game, that's an issue with the players.

Mate, when Ive been to sirens call on villain side there havent been any buffs on the characters to apply really. Serophina's corr is the only one who has been steadily applying buffs and quite frankly I dont know what good did the ice shields even do. Cause they never helped me not to die in an obvious situation.
ie. bigger problem, people dont even PLAY support characters. I dont think Ive ever even seen a thermal corr in Sirens.. -

Golly! I was just typing a long response explaining how the villain ATs had design faults compared to heroes.. but something just occurred to me:
My own poison masterminds power: antidote. hold res, sleep res, immob res, disorient res, 50% res to -speed and -recharge, duration 90 seconds, duration same as clear mind. Recharge 4 secs. Afaik it doesnt have +percep.. (info from prima guide, i dont have the power atm)
But its available at lvl 20, which means sirens call and even bloody bay if im not mistaken. Unfortunately I dont have it on my MM at the moment but I need to test it to see if it can compare to clear mind..I could respec my MM.. -

Stacking over tanks mez protection wasnt a problem for my dom in sirens call.. surviving long enough to fire even two holds was.. But even so there are still break frees..
edit: just to underline it: I dont think PvP is very fair for dominators atm.. -

Ps. MoG offers no DEFENSE against psi damage or attacks either... Phantom army will eat you alive thru MoG quite happily.. Not to mention mind controllers..
Ps. superjump as the only travel power will be more handy cause you dont get vertical movement with superspeed. If you have the power slot to invest then thats your thing, imo. You can take both too. -

That cannot be true unless sonic cage is somehow slottable.. I know for a fact its 30 second-ish for sonic defender in pvp. I have been caged by it more times than I'd care to remember in arena PvP..
I have to admit it didnt occur to me that the duration would be different in pve and pvp. I need to test more. -
Well the biggest problem is fitting all the good stuff in. Controllers get so much, you see.
Arena once:
NN: "So Mesmer, what sets are you?"
Me: "Mind/ff"
NN: "Oh dear"
Mesmer: "Be prepared to move in the wrong direction"
Well telekinesis and force bubble are given. Double repel is very juicy. Both will be endurance hogs however, especially telekinesis which is about 3 end per second unslotted. Ultimately you will have to close it down as stamina and 3-slotting alone helps but cant keep it up perma. You may have speed boost from teammates or something that will help keep it up.
Detention field slotted for 2 acc 3 recharge if you take it propably. (btw. I heard that controllers can't perma this which makes me puzzled.. Currently I have it on my lvl 21 mind/ff, and it has same 30 second duration as defenders, the recharge appears to be the same about 1 minute as with defenders.. Should be able to get it perma with those numbers and hasten if not just 4 slotting for recharge. Note: you must wait for it to wear off before you fire it at same target again, or target will be unaffected and you just wasted it) Detention field and telekinesis are there to either take the biggest threat out of the picture or trap someone in a corner for killing.
Dispersion bubble is also important, one of the few (only two) mez-protection powers defender sets can get for themselves. Plus you can get extra mez protection from Epic pools as well. The defense this offers is not as important but you can slot it for defense as well if you can spare the slots.
In attacking in PvP you will use mainly your single-target attacks, (Id just spam mesmerize and dominate) Terrify is also very useful in PvP because it has decent recharge and theres not a lot of fear resistance around. The other AoEs are propably less useful in PvP (they have loong recharges too).
Power pools: stamina is a given with the costly toggles, hasten pretty much too.. Then the question of travel power.. Out of the epic pools Im planning primal for myself, because of conserve energy and power boost.
Ill let you plan a bit because you really cant fit everything in and have to make choices anyway.
Im sure theres someone who can say more about mind/ff as I dont have a high lvl one myself. Tried it once in test server event though.
EDIT: Herostats says my detention field has recharge of 54,08 seconds (1 recharge DO) and I timed its duration to 30 seconds with a clock, so I'd really like arguments why you cant perma detention field with controllers, Xanthus)

If you just bought the city of heroes game (not the good vs evil edition), im afraid you have over a years worth of updates to download.. Should you have bought cov or the GvE there wouldve been less to download. -

Quoting this, if you replace the duration with its correct duration 30 seconds do you get the 8 second overlap with hasten.. -
Ok, looks like it doesnt overlap with just 3 recharge SOs, but is missing only couple seconds or so.
With hasten it overlaps (does it actually stack?) as you can see from this
pic.
The duration is the 30 seconds as mentioned by Mael. -

psst, you forgot that my blaster has bit more attacks than just total focus, also you forgot to take aim's +damage into account (or BU for that matter).. When I said output I meant DPS output.
I have said several times regarding khelds, two good melee attacks do not a scrapper (or blapper) make. -
While it is perfectly possible that I'm wrong, im gonna check it personally. Just have to wait for test server copy.
ps. already two contradicting sources of info..
pps. power boost is even further away from perma than build up..
