Yes there are, from their secondary. I have been for instance quite surprised how good the -recharge of /psi is. Naturally their debuffs are mostly single target.

You had good points there.My empath is the character I enjoy teaming with newbs the most (not one boring moment lol) , and I have so far managed to keep them alive decently ^^.
Ps. if no-one requires buffs or heals I switch to blasting mode happily ^^ -

Even for an ice tanker lvl 49 is a little bit very late for Taunt with all those AVs running around in the 40ies.
[/ QUOTE ]Oh, I team all the time, and keep full aggro against anything but AV's. And AV's should be easy to keep focused on the tank with the changes, once they fix auras and gauntlet, so no-taunt build is even more viable nowdays.

Afaik Ice melee is ok for tanking (ice patch) but not so much for damage. All tanker primaries have good points now. Fire has become the regen of tankers (however without dull pain) with healing flames. Invul and Ice are propably the most 'ordinary'. Stone can be indestructible at the expense of damage.

As long as the tourney wont be on upcoming weekend Im anxious to take part. I'd also like to see a team tourney, but we'd either need some time to make up the teams or make the teams on the fly on tourney day. I still think the random team tourney some time ago was a good format.
I still don't have lvl 40 villains (although my stalker is on a roll atm) so I'm a bit biased for wanting a lvl 30 tourney. With my blaster I'm ready for whatever lvl we do it.
Actually I might be able to talk SG mates into doing team pvp sometimes. As long as its not too often ( I still think that daily fight nights were too much. A weekly fight night might work) -
Mad as in you can knock minions to interplanetary trajectory with power boost and KB enhancements but why would you want to do that?
.. would be funny if the first human on Mars would be a skull though. -

I think your stalker is ok from what Ive seen. Effectiveness in pvp is down to the player not the build

I have recently rerolled my Stalker as Claws/Nin for a Pv[Bi] build, as I didn't want to go with the FotM EM/Regen :P. It is working out brilliantly in PvE, solo and in teams, and I can see how it will triumph in PvP, also. The only thing that SR has over Nin is the res to slow, the +speed/recharge, and an extra 5% Defence or So. Ninjitsu, although lacking in KB Protection, comes with a heal, and many useful tools (Extra placate, sleep/to hit debuff).

Welcome to the club, I recently fell in love with my claws/nin after a succesful respec and want to lvl her up real fast now. Ninjitsu has indeed got deccent defense, nice tricks and Retsu to boot
. My stalker appears to be quite good in both pve and pvp atm, and I think I can ditch leaping pool completely after trying out fully slotted hover. So far its working excellently. Without leaping pool the power choices arent nearly as tight as before

Well I have 1 end redux on it on my PVP blaster and doing good.
(I do have conserve power and use it frequently though)

acro costs nearly the same as 3 defence set toggles combined to run, its a seriously expensive toggle and is like having one and a half superjumps on during combat. I couldnt recommend 3 slots in this power enough even on a drainer.

Well that does not synch with my experiences from my blaster. Hmm. Imo it costs noticeably less than superjump..
edit: well that mustve been my imagination, according to nofuture it costs 0.26 to SJs 0.23 ^^ -

Italian Posse/furies are the only other SGs Ive met on defiant that regularly seem to PVP.

Yeah, making a build always requires choices to be made. However, out of the pools listed above I would ditch leadership and presence (charisme?) without a second thought ^^. If you cant fit tough in, and I suspect you cant, then fighting goes as well. Ultimately its best to make a build thats fun to play, instead of trying to make a best-on-paper build.

Unfortunately I dont get enough consistent playtime and suffer from too much altitis and am too addicted to Goonies coalition channel to be able to form a new SG ^^
If someone would form a new pvp sg I might be able to move captain skyfire over but I wouldnt be much use grinding for prestige ^^. Maybe Unionites could form a new pvp sg on defiant for union pvpers coming over to defiant? -

Can somebody tell what effects does poison trap have in PvP? I cant find the info from Nofuture, it just says 'spawn poison trap pet' or something similar and I cant find the pet from anywhere. I'm under impression that its not the same poison trap as traps power set has, and that poison's poison trap would be worse, containing only sleep and end drain component? Is this really correct?
ps. elixir of life makes your teammates puke. Its great to have for that reason(unfortunately that puking is an unescapable hold for a few seconds..)

Time to drop by the pvp zones with my mastermind and his assortment of debuff poisons then and check these fire tankers out.. Or just lvl my MM. I dont think theres that many tankers in sirens.

Just realized something
The mez resist from my masterminds antidote may not be as strong per application as clear mind, but it DOES stack. Just got this power geh heh..
It also provides resistance to -recharge and slow (as much as speed boost from a defender) but -recharge and slow res does not stack (like speed boosts doesnt either). Something that empath cannot give.
Hey, villains dont have it THAT bad.
Antidote offers no fear or confuse res (edit: or +perc) unlike CM but I gots slow resist!

My blaster would be one-shotted trying to take down a heavy solo
On the other hand I could take it down easily if I had good empath with me. My own tank wouldnt have a hope in hell taking down a heavy because of his laughable damage output. -

Wait, they don't get any fear or confuse prot/resist either? I have to admit I havent run into many AVs yet so I dont have personal experience. And my heroes are mostly non-controlling sort. -

I find that odd. My Inv Tank has pretty much all the Def he can lay his hands on, with Weave running on top - I rarely get hit in larger spawns. Definitely never ran into trouble using Aid self, specially when fully slotted out.

Im not you. Im pointing out that aid self may work on one build but not all.
