    Is it just me...

    I think the biggest reason is the inexplainable crashing that happens in pvp zones.. The devs should realy hurry on that.

    edit: on second thought, the crashing seems to have died down mostly, but we haven't had any official announcement that the problem is fixed, have we?

    I don't think we're discussing about builds here, rather than how people play those builds. My empath is planning to take all of primary and slot it, but I will also have room for couple attacks (2 holds) which I may end up using occasionally. Naturally in teams my priorities are 1. heal, 2.buff 3. if everybody are buffed and nobody is dying - blast.

    Yeah, for a lot of people, it's easy enough to fit in a couple of secondary powers - if you're not going for a full PvP-spec, or don't like Leadership, that certainly makes things easier.

    Leadership wouldnt belong to my pvp-spec anyway.

  6. After my first arena experience, I updated my future build to look like this. It still has PvE elements cause I don't want to make a char that I wouldnt enjoy playing.

    To help you decide, heres teh numbers:
    duration 12 seconds, recharge 4 minutes. Do the math yourself , plus it has the worst base accuracy of your AOEs. Its pretty pointless to have until 3-slotted with duration SOs and used with power boost.

    Total domination has a tendency to drop off my future respec builds..
  8. Naturally leadership gives a benefit, but the size of the benefit is up for everyone to decide. I don't think that assault and tactics are so important that I couldnt live without them.

    Intimidate on a dominator is a bad idea imo. Not only does the power suck in comparison to your primary powers, you will have to get a useless power as well (provoke/challenge).

    I wanted to get all the fear powers for my mind/en as well in the beginning, it didnt take long to realize that it was major bad idea.
  11. I didnt count defender bubbles cause bubble defenders are a rare breed in PvP . Normally its controllers that you'll be wanting to disorient.

    I don't like leadership pool and will have room for couple more usful powers if I don't take it. Only reason to take leadership would be vengeance, but so far I havent bothered because I dislike assault and tactics. Tactics especially feels pretty useless for reasons other people already pointed out.

    Your planner is propably wrong, its got great duration if you compare it to Total domination which is pants. It doesnt take many slots to perma, and easily is with just power boost.

    I recommend you get telekinesis and leave total domination until much later, btw.

    ps. The only drawback of terrify is that if you use it as opener, the mobs get their alpha strike off before getting terrified.

    Thats what I thought, so you'd need to hit Stun, TF, oppressive gloom, ET to disorient thru dispersion bubble, but those animations are pretty long and im not sure if the disorient duration lasts long enough. And one more disorienting power on top of that to disorient thru ONE clear mind.

    If Im not mistaken you'd need to hit all the disorienting powers you got to disorient a regen scrapper with both integration and resilience, although I didnt bother to calculate whats the chance
  17. Yeah, Arena is like a laboratory where you figure out what really works and what doesn't, when all other interference is ruled out . Its a crucial learning experience if you're serious about PvP, and I hope to see you in the fight nights, Scorpion.

    Leadership is a no-brainer I think. For PvE, more Accuracy and more Damage, as well as a nice Buff if someone died (Vengeance). For PvP it really becomes a necessity! You get a huge buff to Perception (paired with CM you basically see through everything), more Damage, resistances to Fear and Confuse and Veangeance! Veangeance is a match deciding power. If you have a coordinated 5TAR team and everybody knows what they are doing, this can make you unstoppable.

    I have never considered leadership pool as a no-brainer on ANY toon.. Sure it can be good but no-brainer? nah. My MM is respeccing out of it soon.

    I guess it depends on the troller secondary, because I wouldnt rate fire very high in pvp on a dominator.
  20. Well we can conclude that regen stalkers can scrap really well. But I guess you realized too that you need damage also, and sort of need hidden criticals for that

    Yeah, this is important imo. I created both my blaster and stalker with more of a concept of appearance in mind, and both turned out to be very nice in PvP. (I created my blaster before PvP was in the game even, and what do you know, EM turned out to be FOTM ^^)

    Thats not enough afaik, but Im not certain of the info I got. Afaik you'd need mag 11. I wish someone with hard data could point out the real case, all I know I never succeeded in stunning bubblers when my blaster had stun. Besides bubblers are bound to have force bubble as well meaning you can't get close enough to unleash the whole chain.

    Afaik the combined chance is 18% for those two attacks only, and thats not taking normal accuracy into account.

    I thought this whole archetype was for having fun going thru the game a second time..And being encouraged to teaming.. And I think restrictions in slotting severely hamper my ability in having fun with the character. I'm currently trying to figure out a build for my own PB.. Every time I look at it in the builder I jsut get angry because it doesnt have any AT-defining powers.. Nothing I'd be excited looking forward to..

    After 15-odd months my PB is still only lvl 25.

    I still think PBs need love from devs.

    Hmm, I know nothing about dark armor so can't comment on that. I'm interested how this build will turn out, really

    Some ideas I feel like saying:

    Do you really want stun? I don't think you ever can stack the disorients in it to overcome disorient resistance powers (I know, I've tried), so it will always be inferior to total focus and you might just get one extra power slot by kicking stun from your build.. I haven't yet found a single character who had use for stun cause they can also always get total focus.. (ps. if you DO happen to successfully stack disorients it will be via getting lucky with bonesmasher, EP along with total focus, not stun).

    disdur in total focus changed into end redux maybe, it is a costly attack.

    ps. I tried to decipher the numbers regarding EM disorients from nofuture, figuring the plausibility of disorienting through integration only. I'm not sure if I'm reading correctly, but the numbers don't really look very good. I guess you'd need stun after all, and in addition need to get the lucky hit with both EP and bonesmasher.. I'm not sure if I want to even bother trying. If I'm reading it correctly, it should be possible with the whole attack chain if you get lucky with the disorient chances, which are smaller than I thought should I trust nofuture :/

    I never succeeded in it with my blaster using that attack chain though, and I had power boost too.. These days I don't have stun.
