    Its been bugged since bases were introduced so I doubt. I wish devs would fix this cause its unlock is one reason to go to pvp zones.. urgh. Even if it would just mean people afk at the damn gates.

    Err, there's no arena setting that disables insps. Insps are an integral, required part of the game and disabling them is absolutely stupid. What tactical start does is make everyone start with 0 endurance.

    According to the Arena help text in-game, Tactical Start also disables insps. If that has been changed and the help text not updated, I apologise.

    They have never been disabled in arena. Arena help text is about as reliable as finnish weathercast.

    1. The AoE-Shield will usually not be needed in PvP-Zones later on. PvPers usually do not use AoEs, and you can by-pass the aggro-auras out of hide.

    2. You do not need self-heal, if you have to stay in a fight long enough to heal yourself you already lost.

    3. With teleport foe, you can decide the speed and place of the fight giving you an advantage over the opponent.

    4. The recharge buff through Quickness is one of the main reasons to pick /SR over /Nin. It lets you go all out ACC and DMG on your Attacks, not having to care about Recharge that much.

    Erm, to what end? Power boost doesnt have toHit in itself.. It'd buff aim or buildups toHits but this build doesnt have them.. Or does it buff the defdebuff of RI? (afaik it doesnt)

    Power Build Up has +ToHit +Dam +Special, and iirc it'll boost RI, but I may be wrong.

    So it would buff exactly everything? Somehow I find that hard to believe. To my knowledge it is same as power boost with a different name but unfortunately I dont have character with it so I could test.

    My thoughts pretty much mirror yours. When I had it (currently respecced out for pvp build) I had 1 acc 3 damage in it for the occasional pve usage.

    I checked RV last night at 11 pm GMT and there were 3 heroes there grinding, no pvp in sight.

    Not seen anything happening in months.. ALthough the concept of co-op sounds good, there doesnt seem to be enough villains in there to actually put up a fight..
  11. edit: following are facts more than plus'es or minuses..

    1. sirens call
    - Busiest zone
    - bounty system the only thing ingame that offers good rewards for actual pvp
    - Both sides dominate the zone in turn, hero-villain balance is pretty nice
    - busiest time happens near midnight I think.
    - Lot of players doing missions too, but this zone still the most active for real PVP.

    2. warburg
    - better regarding the lack of pvpers because you can fight people of your own side
    - Mostly empty, with lot of people doing missions and not pvping.
    - Warburg nukes are very handy in base raids, however, there doesnt seem to be enough demand for base raids yet.
    - Everytime Ive been there, I think hero side has had more players.
    - no ability to make hero+villain teams is a big minus.

    3. Bloody bay
    - So low lvl that there is actually little difference between a beginning character and exemped lvl 50. Creating the possibility for nice pvp
    - Shivans are very useful in base raids, and fighting AVs, GMs etc. However a good damage-dealing character will solo shivans in less than 10 minutes.
    - Not enough people in there Im afraid, and the zone is HUGE making it difficult to find the opposing players. And if there are players in there, they are most likely doing missions

    4. Recluses Victory
    - Great design and zone with most potential
    - Least amount of actually PVPing players.
    - I dont go there myself because villains are almost always outnumbered, and I dont have any 40+ villains yet. (I so wish I had, so I could kill the damn grinders). Or there is a villain grinder with heavy I can't do much about. Attacking a MM 1v1 who has a heavy is a death sentence for most characters.
    - Heavies are idiotic invention.


    RV has several shortcomings making it the worst pvp zone despite holding the greatest potential.. which is sad.

    I think that absolute majority of the time the zone holds 3 hero players, who all have heavies and are grinding xp/prest/inf. Villains may be there if the zone is otherwise empty. Since you need a heavy to kill turrets in essence, and you cannot wrestle control of the heavy from a player of own side, any more heroes than 3 would just twiddle their fingers in essence, or settle for lower gains in team (which are, by the way, bugged or badly-designed - it is still stupid to be in team there).

    Absolute majority of players in RV consist of grinders or badgers. And more often than not, you cannot do anything about it. RV atmosphere would change considerably if it was a free-for-all zone like warburg..

    I think this is best advice, and you can still use global channels to chat with your friends back on the german server.. PVP is not particularly blooming on either english server but at least there is some, and occasional night of good pvp.

    Pay attention to the activation time. Nofuture says 0.18 for 0.5 seconds, so for 1 second it makes 0.36.. Which is afaik the correct one, 0.36 per second.

    Recluses victory is lvl 40-50 PVP zone. Entrance is from d.a.t.a office in Atlas park.

    Anyway, I had an idea, which could be applicable to all ATs even.

    Character specific combos, which would have a menu window of their own. It would have 'create a combo', in which you could drag-and-drop copy powers from your power tab to it, so that the icons would form a sequence, 3-5 powers long. Then you have one combo. Now after this, if you perform the attacks of the combo on a single target in that order, you get some sort of reward, a buff. Such as 25 endurance points straight back, a non-stackable damage buff for 10 seconds, or something.

    There could be room to make more than one such combo.

Cabal Online for one is a great example, you need to 'buildup' your combo bar and once it is ready you get a timer screen where you have to time your powers like in golf games. Unfortunatly this is close to impossible to build in current CoH, but imaging the ability a blaster unleashes his 'blaster fury' in a 5 combo chain :P

    Specialy in CoH its hard to 'exploit' this, since you normaly are moving nonstop, you have nonstop mezz/damage comming in, so you kinda need a clean hit to perform a combo.

    Ive played rogue in WOW myself and they essentially have a sort of combo system, where normal attacks build up 'combo points' on a target, and then a 'finisher' type of attack will do more damage or other effect according to how many combo points there are on the target. Too bad points vanish if you switch targets..

    You know, we could do it like people did in Magic the gathering here. There could be a 'beginners tournament', which would be the same as a normal tourney with one exception. It would have a list of people banned from it, on grounds of being too experienced in PVP. Im pretty sure it wouldn't require much from the pvp community to come up with this list after a bit of discussion. Can use global handles even.

    Naturally there would be another tourney open for all, but the idea with beginners tournament would be to avoid starting PVPers going against the 'professionals' and getting crushed.

    Both final matches were draws. In second one 3 teams got 9 kills. Lady White and Subconscious were voted as winners by majority of participants cause they were on top on both matches I believe.
