Going off topic but I'm pretty confident you find Tower was right! He made that post yonks back when you you didn't need all the criteria such as sg computer and 6 anchors to have a base raid.

Erm.. you never needed a SG computer, still dont, and the anchors were required from the very start when bases were just at the test server iirc(I know, I was there playing with them and posting to my SG forum).

Thats right, and to top it off it also has 20%+ res to psi damage.. Nin heal is awesome. Eventually something like halfbar every 20 seconds.

Only thing nin lacks is the knockback protection, which I agree is kinda major, but you can get acro or fly like my stalker.

Not at stalkers, most people dont take Evasion,Dodge,Agile when they make an /SR stalk.

Why make SR then when you can make ninjitsu... The only advantage SR has over nin is the slightly better defense when they take ALL the SR powers. Nin and SR toggles offer same defense.. (well tbh SR also got KB prot)

Tonights action in defiant RV suggest there would be enough people to do the same on defiant too.

Tanker was the right choice, as he should be keeping the aggro off the others in turn.

..Well what you say is true and the crux of the problem. Thats why powersets should be in balance in the first place.

I made a claws stalker because I wanted to do something different and claws look very cool. Unfortunately I have become disappointed since then to the weakness of some sets, incl. claws.

I wouldnt mind PVP in RV myself. What server, though? And what are blue circles referring to?

And heres some news for you, if you are managing to AS people thats a reflection on them as opposed to you, PvP build stalkers shouldnt even have it unless you are DM as the prospect of finding a real PvPer standing still is infantesimal, unless of course you are having to team.

At the time I didnt list for 3s company because I felt I didnt have any chance, I only had one lvl 50 pvp toon anyway. Right now Im desperate for any action. Its hard enough to get a duel on defiant, let alone a team duel, let alone against people I havent fought numerous times already. Not to mention Im always without teammates so team duels are just /E shrug for me.

Right now I would have listed for 3s company even with two 40ish toons but its too late now.

HAvent had chat and laugh in teams for a while either.. Chat is usually silent as people are concentrating on aiming their AOEs on mobs or something.

LAst night I opted to solomine 4 hours straight at 11.00-3am in Eve with my ship that requires me to dragdrop stuff from one window to another at 30 second intervals because I felt that I was accomplishing more there than in coh.. Did that for 4 hours straight basically. That should give a hint how repulsive I find coh level grind atm. I hate that, but I hate coh grind more.

Ive done it since the beginning, but only change that ever came forward was the swapping of clobber and jawbreaker in the power list. While nice chance in that it improved the enjoyment of the tank while progressing lvls (didnt have to wait til lvl 20 for the second damaging attack) it didnt help mace overall.

ps. Ice patch is a lot better damage mitigation than weave, whenever its there.

The main problem with moving to union is the leveling, which I cannot stand anymore.
I really, really, cant. Its been over a year since my last 50, you can guess Im a very slow leveler as I find the leveling grind is the worst aspect of this game. Doing it in a PLing team is actually even worse unless I go afk. I thought that maybe collecting IOs would be interesting for my 50s, alas no, since getting IOs requires you do the same kill-grind again >_>. Im so totally fed up with it, and the fact and that I cant do anything new that doesnt involve killing PVE mobs in humongous quantities. In PvP Im supposed to level new toons as the ones I got aint good enough. It all comes down to the same thing.

Worst thing is propably is the suspicion that I might be spending my time for nothing if the PvPers decide to move somewhere else again, as they seem to be doing on defiant.

Nobody else seems to mind the grind as much as I..

PS. My latest hope was my stalker (lvl 45) who I thought Id get to RV levels so I could have some fun there, alas, no fun to be found there.. no pvp. Its all work for nothing.

EDIT: Im sorry for ranting and bothering you as I feel this is an unsolvable problem.

Admin chat is global, serverwide, and it tells you every warning / threat etc. And i havent found a way to actually turn it off on the test server, very annoying.

This, I guess, it annoys me as well and Im not a PRer. Make the announcement on request channel and broadcast instead. Admin messages cannot be turned off and will appear on every chat tab on every channel. And I normally have 5-6 chat tabs open.

I guess psychic blast would propably be best. Could maybe stack the immob so they'd stay put long enough for you to drop tar patch on their head. -recharge is always good as well. ps. I made dark/psi myself, but cant find the energy to play it

I have two accounts worth of alts, but im not really having fun with any of them since its the core PvE gameplay thats the source of the boredom. Maybe I play in too good teams as combat seems to be severely boring. Not saying that mere increased difficulty and danger would make it more interesting (like devs seem to think) since the combat it self is extremely simple. All PvE combat in a 4+ team will just reduce into a gray area of AOE effects and then its on to next mob spawn. I was on STF twice, nice TF, we tanked all AVs at once, not much of a challenge. (edit: when done right)

I have to say I always considered PvE play as extremely simple and boring, it used to be PvP that let me carry on, but now Im becoming severely disillusioned with the whole thing. Arena has only the few same opponents over and over, zone pvp is nonexistent, Im not being let into base raid teams which seem to happen like once in a month or so anyway, and worst of all, everybody seems to be deserting to Union...

And I just CANT be arsed to grind anymore pvp toons.

Invul is still ok as secondaries dont really affect it, but mace wont get much more powerful later on either.

Also a question for tanks out there, if one tank is taunting a target, and the other is attacking it continuously, will the punchvoke from the attacking tank draw the aggro off of the taunting tank at any time?

Yes, attacking tank can steal the aggro from the taunter, unless something is changed by devs in the last months.

No they can't. At least, not on a Hamidon raid or the Hami tank would lose aggro all the time, and he doesn't.

It could happen quite easily before though, but I havent seen the new hami.
