  1. I think the devs should add an option "no trim" for the ceiling and floor trims.. And extend the trims to the doorways. The base editing has lots of bugs. Today I got for instance a floating plasmascreen, invisible objects, the high ceiling "tech grid" = "tech circles" while in medium ceiling it is ok etc..

    Interesting, I would have thought that mind is one of the end-cheapest sets, but I havent got anything high-lvl yet. At least the single-targets are pretty cheap in my opinion.

    All ive got so far is lvl 12 mind/en dominator and a mind troller on coh.

    I replaced taunt with provoke because it hits more targets - 2 acc 3 taunt 1 recharge - works better than taunt n my opinion and gives access to the fear powers which are kinda useful too

    The fear powers are nice, I had 6-slotted invoke panic as part of my I5 build crowd control. In PvP I used intimidate a lot even when it was unslotted.. My I6 build doesnt have the presence pool at all however. Went back to normal tank powers instead.

    1 beacon per person is definitely NOT true, I can confirm that at least for COH. The Goonies have all the beacons mentioned in vidiotmaps collected and working.

    I assume the regen didn't have MoG then - a power which is pretty much required to tank AVs. Hammertime can easily tank them with MoG as long as they don't get lucky.

    I assume he didnt have it or timed it wrong (used at the same time as us) or something. Imo this just boils down to that regen scrapper wouldnt have been in much better position than the SR scrapper, both have their "i don't die" powers as do I. I assume both can tank about as much, I cant remember the how long is the uptime of MoG. Once they are off, down we go. At least my tank can survive a little extra time with dull pain and my other shields.

    In short, yes. My clobber is 3-slotted with Acc Sos. I dont go to PvP zone without half my insp slots filled with acc insps and the other half with def insps. A few break free and cab for emergencies. In PvP duration < recharge, btw.

    Thats a load of [censored]. Tons of people have very very little time to game, myself included. Today I went on for two hours, which is the most I've had time to play for oh, two months? So it's going to take a LONG time for casual players to even get a funtional (control, power, workbench) base.

    (I say functional because everyone get's salvage in supergroup mode, yet they have nothing to do with it...)

    Also forgetting the pretty hefty rent, that the solo/smallgroupers would have to overcome to get the same base as the big groups. For the big groups the gathering of the additional prestige isnt that much of an issue.

    On a curious sidenote, yesterday night me (lvl 50 invul tank), and my friends lvl 50 SR scrapper and lvl 50 Regen scrapper went against Marauder AV by ourselves. Icant remember if Marauder was 52, I think it was. I could tank marginally better than the SR scrapper who could tank for 3 minutes (uptime of elude) but would be oneshotted immediately elude ran out. She was also oneshotted once thru elude. Myself I could tank for 3 minutes (the uptime of unstoppable, and could survive maybe 20-30 seconds in addition with my normal defenses counting dull pain. That makes me still able to tank slightly better than a scrapper..whew. The regen scrapper was at our mercy and would be faceplanted if he got marauders attention.

    We didnt get him, got him very close to defeat several times and then he would 'cheat' and survive. After everybody had racked about 5 faceplants we called it a day.. Propably we would have marched over him if there had been a defender in the team.

    This whole mission was more of a test, SR scrapper had been running it solo several times to test her defenses, and our efforts weren't really all that coordinated.

    It helps shore up your weak(er) Energy/Elements resists, and the "Herd for defense" tactic was often used to Tank certain AV's.

    And I cant understand what the words "more challenging to get massive bonus" mean. We either get the same boost than before or we dont. How can it be more challenging when we need at most 10 enemies to previous 14? I think some dev just got messed up with words..

    Nope, you can only get hazard zone access on the hero side. You don't have to pay to unlock the beacons either, what you do is explore a hazard zone and collect all of the exploration badges (if you've already collected them prioer to I6 simply walk over them all a second time, even though you don't get the badges again it still registers the SG Badge when you walk over the final one), when you've collected all of them you get a supergroup badge under the exploration tab saying you've unlocked the beacon. After unlocking, you can purchase beacons within the base editor under the teleporter menu - if you have found you have some there to buy that just means your SG has collected the SG Badge for the zone already, not that you are paying to unlock the item. You just have to pay to place them as you do with any base item, same way workbench items work even though you just collected all the materials together to build it yourself, it still costs prestige to place.

    Actually I thought that you couldnt get them the second time cause nothing got registered, thanks for this info. We have gathered all the known beacon badges now anyway, so it wouldnt matter. Plus it wouldve been difficult to find them without the "badge earned" message

    I hope they add beacons for the normal zones in the future..
  15. Btw, it seems possible for heroes to be in coalition with villain groups and hence maybe enter each other bases as villains or heroes? Anybody tried this out?

    Our computer so far mentions only 2 task forces, but since we dont have a raid teleporter yet, im not sure if we can even try them. Tried the other one that didnt have teleporter mentioned in its briefing, but the contact experienced "internal errors" and asked to come back later, hehe.

    Yup, have looked, all of it was 0 upkeep. yet that 10k rent came from somewhere.

    For the record, the base has control room, generator room, workshop room, transport room, basic generator, main-frame, terminal, basic worktable, telepad, mission computer, and a fair bit of deco items..
    Used to have one tp beacon, but when I deleted it to change it to another one, we didnt get the prestige back, and when I exited the base I noticed the rent was due-message. Dunno if thats a bug not getting the prestige back from selling the beacon. Or if it will magically reappear like the issue with negative prestige earlier.

    The plot is of course the basic small one that everybody starts with.

    Rent is due every 2 weeks. As I understand it, rent is a % value of your assets (stuff in base and unspent prestige). Something like 5%. Although we only had to pay 5k for a nine room base.

    How can I know how much the base rent is BEFORE it is due? And WHEN is it going to be due? How often does it need to be paid? I just noticed a "your base rent of X was due 11/15 4.09pm" message on SG channel. Yesterday I talked to SG registrar and he just said "your rent is already paid up!". I tried to check the upkeeps in base editor but they came up 0.

    Besides, I dont think we had anything else really working in there besides one telepad beacon, and a rent of 10k from an item that costs 10k is a bit harsh in my opinion!

    Does this mean we can tp to the non-hazard zones as well? How do we do that? Use the raid teleporter? Yesterday night the Goonies got one telepad working, but I was wondering how to get to the normal zones. (talking COH here) ATM we dont have prest for the raid teleporter, hence I am asking.

    Shadow shards is hell.. I hate that place so much. Only ever tried one ss tf and that didnt go well. I realized my I4 lvl 50 invul tank could do nothing against the wisps..

    Im never going back there without a number of good empaths!

    Just noting that I have never had this bug with my War Mace tanker, but noticed this with my new superstrength alt this morning. Apparently it is powerset-related.
