Not having claws myself high enough I don't really qualify to be trustworthy in this, but our lvl 50 claws/regen scrapper said he was kicking himself for not choosing followup earlier when he finally tried it. I understand its like build-up for claws..As far as I know. Focus is great as well - afaik all 3 last attacks are ok. When I was playing my claws alt at very low lvl, i was happy getting a PbAoE attack earlier than most

    Edit: errr.... Claws/SR. The only type of character I have deleted for being too weak - couldnt solo own heroic mission was the last straw at lvl 18..

    I dont understand the question as both a.) and b.) are equal in my eyes.. But temp inv should be like sprint. You switch it on, it stays on and working until you turn it off or you run out of endurance. When it is switched off, theres a small delay before you can switch it on again. As far as I know, targeting drone works in similar way so I really dont understand the question.

    If you sold/deleted it, it went back to being prestige you paid for it. The salvage and the item itself is lost forever. Blame Cryptic.

    If you didnt get back the prestige you paid for it, thats something new actually.

    Yesterday i went badge hunting, with my toon which has not many exploration badges. So as i would get notifiaction of badge earned. I was in SG Mode all the time

    First port of call - Dark Astoria, flew around hunted out all the exploration badges, got badge earned message for all pick ups. On last one got the SG beacon. so far so good

    Second port of Call - Terra Volta. Flew to top of reactor , got badge, got message, flew to the west collected another badge, message appears. Went to get nervous Dreak, perfect collect badge + message.
    Now i was expecting to get 2 messages here one saying badge earned adn other saying SG beacon unlocked, as far as im aware is only 3 expo badges in TV.But got nothing
    I was using the same char as i did in DA so dont understand why never got acknowledgement of SG beacon for TV.

    Tonight i will try hollows beacon and try to get to other hazard zones. Do all hazard zones have a beacon ?

    And do PvP zones have beacons from the hero side ??

    So maybe it is a bug the beacons not opening when you visit all the exploration badges of an area ?

    Iirc Terra Volta doesnt have a beacon badge. The confirmed zones that have you can check from vidiotmaps. Off the top of my head, they are hollows,perez,striga,faultline,boomtown, crey's folly, dark Astoria.. Im not sure if I forgot something.

    An odd statement, if only because leveling is faster than it was at launch! Less debt in missions, a lower debt cap, increased mob XP - even with I5 and ED leveling is faster than it was up to I4.

    Gaining xp may be faster, but increased chance of debt after lvl 10 due to weakened characters offsets this so I'd say the effect is close to +-0.

    Besides "less debt" does not apply. If you have permamently one death worth of debt the fact that the debt cap is smaller has no bearing whatsoever. Debt is still debt.

    I dont understand the originally quoted statement though, don't care much.

    They arent, unfortunately. I think the base starts off without trims, but once you have added them theres no way to get rid of them other than placing deco objects on them.

    (Not just SG leader, but ranks who have the base editing rights - normally leaders thou). Yes, you can move the items around in the base editing mode. Unfortunately I dont see a way to move the items between rooms (even if they'd be suitable rooms). Couple of times some bug has allowed me to do this with deco items but normally i dont think its supposed to work. The bases are bugged as an ant's nest.

    So if theres 2 transport rooms next to each other, I dont think we could move a telepad between them. Yesterday I downsized our transport room when I realized I couldnt fit raid teleporter in the same room as our 2 telepads, cause the bloomin room has a cap of 2 teleporters. In order to do the downsizing, I sold the telepads and had to reconstruct them from salvage.
  12. Yes, thats what Im afraid as well. "Who cares about PvP as long as we trash their base".

    Theoretically just taking down the generator should reduce any functionality of the base to 0, but Im not so sure it can be destroyed. I for one cant target it or get its HP bar, same for mainframe. All add-on's,workshop,infirmary reclaimator and telepads are targetable however. Is this working as intended? Maybe the most needed pieces cant be destroyed?

    I was under impression that this is true for instant raids, but for IoP raids it involves the possibility of some items unrepairable, ie. permanently destroyed. The Robo-fabricator or similar salvage item should lower the possiblity of such thing happening, but it should still be possible to permanently lose some item. This is just what I have gathered from available info so far, might be wrong, and we certainly havent tested. Most items are automatically repaired at end of raid yes, but not all of them in case of IoP raids.

    Except the fact that hollows beacon is bugged and tps you high in air above grendels gulch and lets you fall to the ground.. At least last time I checked it.

    The Goonies could have a fully raidable base right now, but we don't cause we (or at least I) dont want one. Let others have IoPs. I prefer to have those 2 normal telepads right now instead of raid teleporter.

    Maybe when there is more info about the propability of losing items(prestige/salvage) to raiding we might pay more attention.

  17. TG, I humbly request some training in PvP then, preferably in a team so I could know what I am supposed to do there. I havent got on many PvP teams as my evenings are usually spent playing PvE with alts. Certainly not in any good teams. I'd like to experience this fun of PVP, but havent had any luck so far.

    As for 1-on-1, I know my tank cant beat another tank or a scrapper. Thats not even a theoretical possiblity unless their build is really weak and they dont know how to play. There are numerous other AT builds I also cant beat, but for scrappers and tanks its regardless of their build or powersets.

    You say they don't need it but you still got status protection on your kheldian? huh?

    And my PB doesnt feel Epic at all. Couple of months and he hasnt advanced past lv 14 cause playing him is annoying.

    Too bad that ED ruined this aspect like all the other aspects of my tank. All I have now is taunt with the one slot. Don't have provoke anymore cause couldn't squeeze it in. Besides it would've needed at least 2 acc slots in it anyway to be of any use.

    Plight, you don't seem to grasp the concept how crap tanks are right now. Nothing remotely resembling the S4 days..

    [/ QUOTE ] and this is where i will disagree Ham for simple reasons... a tanker is far more ubah and can certainly change the tide of a battle in many ways...first of all and most important by taunting the primary damage dealers of opposite team. Keep a blaster taunted and that saves from attacking the squishies in team with range...in a really good team that the players are tight together this will automatically signal the blaster as a target once taunted and will lead to the blaster being taken down... Tankers are as much essential in PvP just as any other AT is just that their role is much less direct and tactical than other AT's

    Doesnt seem like it.. Maybe I have just teamed in bad teams that dont work well together, but despite repeated taunting I dont seem to have any effect. The taunt seems to wear off in fractions of a second and did you know for instance that mastermind pets are immune to taunt?
    In addition, if the enemy would realize how easily I go down they shouldnt have any trouble with me. The only real defense my tank seems to have is being chocked full of defense insps.

    What about those poor PvE mobs, there must be one ganked every 10 seconds.. nobody cares for them .. *sniff*

    Seriously, I really cant understand why ganking is complained about so much. If people would actually sit down and think, everybody would realize that its unavoidable part of PvP when there is more than 2 persons present. (if I even understand the term correctly) People always go for the enemy that is in disadvantage. I see nothing wrong in that. I have gotten ganked enough many times. I have no big problem with it.

    Much bigger problem is the imbalance in AT's and sets.

    Personally when I am in PvP, I go for anybody I see once, then I let them be the second time I see them unless they attack me or my team. I haven't been much on Greek's ownage nights.. They make me just sad for the state of tanks when I go down in seconds or am incapable of landing even a brawl on those hurricanists..

    I also can't understand why people emphasize the team PvP so much either. in my opinion a character should have a chance one-on-one as well, otherwise in a team it would just mean that the other players are responsible for the kills and the poor guy contributes nothing. A character should be able to contribute either to team survival(like debuffs) or damage output(like blasters/scrappers). Tank contributes neither and is just ballast imo.

    No it doesnt. All you can do with crafted items is move them around. Ive deleted one telepad so far.

    But, they seem relatively easy to get back. Our SG keeps donating the salvage to one person who will build items (in this case, me) and there isnt really a problem getting the items rebuilt inasmuch as getting the prestige in the first place.
