I'd imagine that stalkers have a role to play in IoP raids, when they are better equipped for sneaking in enemy base, finding a suitable location and planting those pylons..

heh i enjoy that minmaxing the plot type stuff, ah the heady days of doom2 editing
[/ QUOTE ]
ITs not minmaxing im talking about, have you tried to move rooms to new locations? Problem is that every room must be connected to the rest of base with at least one corridor at any time. This means, moving room B away from the chain of
A-B-C would first require moving room C away. But what if there isnt a good place for it? Most of the rooms in question are pretty filled with deco items and I'd really rather not sell items first, so they could be placed.
Theres lots of annoying things in room movement that I cannot adequately explain, so I wont try. Lets just say I needed to come out of editor couple of times and yell AArrgh.
PS. I have to admit that managing Goonies base satisfies the resource allocator in me -

Having raid telepad is up to you, but it wont fit to the 2x2 room.
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, the Arcane Raid teleporter fits fine into a 2x2 room. The Technology one doesn't.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ours did not no matter how many different angles I tried. It looked like it would fit, but it didnt.
[/ QUOTE ]
Could be the doorway abstructing there, one door = no problem, 2 door... doesn't leave enough room.
[/ QUOTE ]
It was propably that, as the tp room had two entrances.. I hate the doorway obstructing madness.. juggling rooms around until I could fit them all on plot isnt all that fun. -

They either negate the sleep, hold the foes or immob the foes to completely nullify the confuse effect
[/ QUOTE ]
Any Dom that relies on Sleep as a primary control is out of their mind (::cough hohoho).
[/ QUOTE ]
I agree on this one. Mesmerize is good, but not good slotting sleep duration. Rather slot damage as its 'moderate damage' and does pure psionic damage.
Mass hypnosis on the other hand could be removed from the set so people wouldnt be tempted to take it at first opportunity, being the first AoE mez available.. And it truly sucks in practically every team. Soloing it is different but not worth the power slot imo.
And about double mezzing, its much much better to affect the same foe twice than to leave one of them free to attack. Thats just my philosophy.
immobilize doesnt nullify confuse effect, the enemies are still free to shoot each other. And immob doesnt prevent them from shooting you, whereas confuse does.
Confuse is fantastic, last night I kept confusing the ff generators the sky raider engineer put out, so they'd buff us.. That effect for instance wouldnt have stopped regardless what you mezzed the generator with.
edit: sleep is the only mez type that really conflicts with others, so my advice is simply, get rid of mass hypnosis. -

Got the big room right away when I saw that there was a limit to the amount of anchors a given telepad could have
[/ QUOTE ]
Erm, the 3x3 room still allows only 2 teleporters of any sort... Goonies currently have one 2x2 room with 2 telepads and one 3x3 room with raid porter and 1 telepad. -
Basic telepads are the single most useful feature of bases currently. Having raid telepad is up to you, but it wont fit to the 2x2 room.
shortcuts:
perez -> skyway, galaxy, atlas, steel
for high lvl people crey's folly -> crash site -> portal corp at peregrine
The rest are as they are, striga, hollows, etc. useful in their own way.
Goonies telepads are being used constantly
ps. you arent just 'flung' to a given zone, you will always exit at same spot. -
I play my villain on union and its not like its any different there.. But at least I've seen people with <roleplayer> on their personal info.
-
I have an energy blaster myself, and I like it a lot, comparing to my tank who has a lot more rigid build. (ie. not much chance to change the order of powers).
I'd take build-up earlier, maybe swap energy punch with build-up. -
The Goonies base is now 10 rooms large, here are some pics:
infirmary
Computer corridor
Resting room and bar
Generator room
Basic/advanced workshop room
Expert workshop
Vault room
Raid teleporter room
Normal telepads
Entrance room
I have to take back some of what I have said about prestige and bases, I didnt believe this could be done so fast with our current player base.. -

Errm, now i'm puzzled.. how can a troller hold a regen thru integration? (I'm a noob in PvP)
[/ QUOTE ]
The hold resistance of melee character toggles isnt infinite. The melee characters status resistance received a big nerf for precisely this reason not too long ago. Stacking enough many holds on the regenner in enough short time means he will eventually get held. Other option is to use powers that have 'drop toggles' ability regardless of status resistance. Everyone has at least one, Brawl. -
I dont think
Earth Born, stone/stone tanker
and
Mortal Decay rad/rad defender
are there.. -

Every SG has a base, only thing you could do is deleting everything but the entrance room, then you should not get any rent.
Even if you will get slight rent, it does not accumulate, so you'll just lose base access until you pay it.
[/ QUOTE ]
But don't you have to 'get' the base, ie. using rights from the SG registrar?(or 'building rights' if you think in-character) Starting SGs don't have a base originally afaik, it has to be acquired from the SG registrar. Even if its just the entrance room after that. -

Until I7, where the unique combination of lack of forethought and fudge will make Defence effectively identical to Resistance, Defence is inferior to Resistance as soon as you start facing mobs +2 or more to you.
[/ QUOTE ]I didn't really understand this either... it's rather ambiguously worded.
Lack of fudge?

I think he meant that the system is designed badly. -
Any chance of getting the at/powerset combos for statistic purposes..?

Overall, probably Ice primary and Mace/Axe secondary.
[/ QUOTE ]
This. I've seen one Axe and one Mace in my time in CoH.
Edit: Btw, they're not bad sets or anything, they just seem out of favour in general.
[/ QUOTE ]
Mace is a bad set. -
[ QUOTE ]
Though I have never seen a.....
Invun/Mace before.
[/ QUOTE ]
I believe there are about 4 inv/mace lvl 50s in english servers, me and generalissimo_2 being on defiant.. ice/mace prolly is the rarest combo.. -
the mission computer is a salvage built extra item for the control room in SG base. Don't bother yet, the cathedral of pain seems as the only possible mission and its not available yet.

Some form of endurance management has always been needed, earlier you could get away theoretically by 6-slotting stamina but I had end reduxes on my toggles even back then...
[/ QUOTE ]But did you have them in your attacks as well? Seeing as 5 damage isn't efficient anymore you can put 1-2 EndReducers in your attacks, as well as your toggles, which, when combined with the 13% global END reduction, should make you actually spend less endurance than pre-ED.
[/ QUOTE ]
I dont remember. The attacks have had end reducers for soo long time now. Given my current configuration I feel like im already spending less endurance than I was before (apart from weirdness of fly) but that doesnt mean im any more combat efficient as a whole... -
My personal opinion is that any kind of banter in PvP zones with the word nOOb, newb, etc. in it, isnt intelligent.
When last time I was on a PvP zone, after getting my first ever kill with my lvl 30 blaster, I got called ****ing **it newb. I havent heard much more intelligent banter in there.. And I still can't seem to grasp whats supposed to be fun in PvP with that sort of attitudes abundant.. -
The 'play' raids are called instant raids, I believe.
I think the rules for capturing the IoP is:
You have to destroy dimensional anchors in enemy base (I don't remember was it all of them or just a few).
Then you need to use a temp power called 'disruptor pylon' on the IoP itself. It is built from salvage, 1 tech material and 1 tech power - can be built in all worktables.
I dont know if there is an arcane equivalent of disruptor pylon.
If you have IoP-qualified base, this should get the IoP for you.
The amount of attackers and defenders in base raid is capped to 16. The raid window is 2 hours long. You dont get to choose who is raiding you, nor do the attackers get to choose the target. The system decides that as long as there are SGs in the queue, I think...
EDIT: Since I havent done a single base raid myself, take this info with a grain of salt.. -
Dunno.. we had one mission that we couldnt do because our mission computer experienced "internal error"..
-
Dunno about all the info but Im certain that the amount of missions available from the mission computer to my SG is currently
0
(hint to the devs, get the tf online and invent more SG missions)
Bleeping expensive deco item... -
