The big lined up group of monsters blocking one of the bottle necks into the jelly. Are they significant in some way, cause its the only place it happens in the hive (there's about 22 of them so would still be an effort for anyone to test)
[/ QUOTE ]
Lets just lay waste to everything that moves between Hive and Atlas park and see if it has an effect -
[ QUOTE ]
maybe cause they don't NEED to be stealthed to be effective?
by the way not very "hero" attitude i think ^^
[/ QUOTE ]
I think some of them would like to be stealthed to be remotely safe -
I think you might want to give a shot at the Goonies
We are mostly kinda closely-knit group of people who started teaming together in the beginning and had the "just for having fun" credo to it all. Today were nice mixed bunch and the overall average age seems to be on the mature side. I always try to emphasize the fun aspect although Im known to my interest in technical aspects as well. We also talk about RL as well, but its not expected of you if you dont want to.
There arent that many of us currently but we can always use more friendly, fun people. We have number of alt SGs (mostly filled with our own alts) and plenty of equally nice and fun (and crazy) people in the coalition. Although there around 12-15 active players or so, im not entirely certain of the amount of lvl 50s we have anymore..upwards of 20 in the goonies alone I think. and our base is pretty ok on my opinion, last I checked we had some 1 mill prestige laying around.. 6 telepads, all worktables blah blah, but thats not important imo.
We only expect the member to be friendly and helpful to others
We do task forces although we don't have any fixed dates to anything, mostly because I'm too lazy to keep something regular organized.. And so does everybody else it seemsWe just log in and look what we could do next..
You can take a stroll around our page
http://www.cohgoonies.com
And make your opinions.
We don't normally advertise ourselves that much, but new members are still welcome.
EDIT: Be mindful of the slightly disarranged sense of humor of some of the members o_O

Well basically every AT with a kb power will always win, and that counts for lots of ATs. Akheldian wont let u keep on ur feet, an ma scrapper, all the pets that kb too... i really think it's a serious disadvantage
[/ QUOTE ]
Only ones I have had real trouble dealing with so far have been katana and claws scrappers - and Plight. Claws in particular is nightmare. But I dont duel that much.
Beaten one PB so far, cause he had to stay in dwarf form to survive.
EDIT: Errrr..... sorry for the offtopic. Im talking about my blaster here.
I'd imagine stalkers having even less need for acro since they don't really need to scrap. Accurate, pre-emptive use of break frees should be enough. Or use the sirens call bounty break frees that last for 3 minutes.. -

[ QUOTE ]
Btw no kb = sure death, if u plan to go nin, get acrobatics
[/ QUOTE ]
Not sure i agree with that myself .. i've got a NB/Nin without the jump pool at all and i don't have a problem with kb in pvp.
[/ QUOTE ]
I have been PVPing with my blaster at lvl 40 without acrobatics quite successfully. Certainly there are some duels I can't win because of it, but as a whole and particularly in teams and pvp zones its not really needed.
After my experiences with my peacebringer in test server event Id go as far as say that acrobatics sucks. -
I would prefer having two fights per night, but there may be problems due to people getting dropped out of the competition next thursday after the third round.. You'd have to randomize new teams on the fly?
-
[ QUOTE ]
Drop Revive you don't need it at all for PvP.
[/ QUOTE ]
For zonal PVP it might be fun to have after the hospital changes in I7, but its not necessary in theory. -
Tank is a tank. While a tank can hold aggro without taunt, having one offers for greater flexibility and chance to save your teammates with a quick taunt. Plus you'll want taunt for tanking in PVP. (note: not just for playing PvP, MAx thunder did ok in 3vP without taunt iirc
)
-
Unless we manage to make this a leaque somehow..
-
I feel sorry for Envoy for ending up against me twice
and being a granite tank without kinetic backup.. You did the right thing in the matches when you detoggled granite and tried to fight back. Too bad you couldnt turn it around, it was a good effort, though, not much you could have done better.
And Elerith for being the prime target for me in our first match, I feel bad beating up Empaths hehe.. ^^ Even extremely skilled ones..
My thanks to Tridento, Mr Nice, Dax Ferdas and Troke for good teaming
EDIT: Having mixed teams of experienced and less experienced people seems like a good way to promote PVP. -

i really dont know whats gonna change in the bases after i7 hits the servers,so my Question is...
would it be a good idea to delete my base now?
sell everything and to wait for i7 ?
do i keep the same plot? or are we starting all over again and will we lose the prestige?
or do we only lose the prestige if we delete the SG ?
can i remove our base completely [also the plot] and keep our prestige?
so we can start fresh from i7...
[/ QUOTE ]
Definitely not. Leave your base, and make changes afterwards.
The main changes are just the textures and additional items, no need to delete base for that. -
The merits of claws is of course it having a nice ranged attack to kill those pesky squishies that would otherwise be difficult to kill by other sets like EM. Squishies like bubblers, stormies, blasters standing in caltrops/mines etc. The attack also has about 100% knockdown in it, so unless the enemy has KB protection, they are easy pickings. Alternative is spines, but people use it too much and imo I just like claws better
Claws suits hit-n-run quite nicely imo.
Ninjitsu is like SR, with little less total defense outside the final powers but it has very good self heal, kuji-in sha, which is essentially identical to reconstruction and keeps you alive quite nicely. Ninjitsu is easier to plan, you don't have to finetune the slots as in SRNin also has retsu, which is essentially same as elude.
Drawback of ninjitsu is that it doesnt have KB protection in its anti-mez power.
Then again, Im no expert, but these are my thoughts and I liked my lvl 40 claws/nin in RV, although I may not be able to kill quite the kind of big boys the EM can, I can kill some peeps EM can't
However I feel that stamina is a necessity, especially since I plan to use fly along with SS. Danger sense feels slightly end-heavy. -

im a bubbler (ill/ff), been hit with blind plenty before... have yet to be slept by it
[/ QUOTE ]
Ive seen it go right through every single time...
[/ QUOTE ]
I believe the sleep component is the fact that enemies surrounding the primary target at very close range have a chance to get slept. Blind is still factually a hold, and personally I just suspect that dispersion bubble doesnt offer that much hold protection, thats the answer. Actually, I believe its hold resistance meaning holds will just wear off tad sooner. -

.. and i7 comes with no permaholds so.. yay Tankers vs Scrappers!
[/ QUOTE ]
actually doms can permahold with domination up, i can atest to that in RV

Gack! What happened to suppression? -
Idea 1: person who doesnt show up automatically loses lives for as many matches as he/she misses, and substitute's lives are not calculated at all, they just play in the fights the substituted player is supposed to play. So for a complete no-show the substitute gets to play 3 matches regardless of results, and then its over.
idea 2: Same as above except if the sub replaced a person from the start(1st round) in all of his/her matches, he/she can take over the substituted players place in the roster and have his/her lives calculated normally.
I think idea 1 would be easiest to organize for all concerned , but kinda unfair for substitutes who wanted to play. -
Actually it shows correctly that Skinz lost 2 lives, and columna can be seen with 3 lives left in case she continues..
Eat Static should be in 2 lives afaik.
This is a fascinating concept regardless. -
Hmm some typo there, Envoy was against my team twice and my team won both cases, so he should be in 1 life..
I got screenies from wins btw.
And Anath's name is actually Anata.
EDIT: But good job refereeing and writing the results! -
Since we don't have a thread yet, here is one. Thanks all for playing and I hope you had as much fun as I did
I think morgan will post the results after he's had sleep. -

and you could try to use the arena channel... however it seems people chattin there dont seem that much intersted in arena. That is, if you dont count senseless spam bout random topics to arena
[/ QUOTE ]
That doesnt mean it shouldt be used for its original purpose -
Ive heard of some people unable being show up, so I guess its a good idea to stay tuned for possible replacements from the queue
-
This is very annoying, but unfortunately very common bug. If you continue having trouble, log out and back in - should clear it.

I don't unless I think I can kill them. But you want to drop two or three toggles with brawl? Seriously? Because, in that much time, most people would've killed you.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, with 2/3 good hits, my buddy standing over me has a far better chance of Pwning you
[/ QUOTE ]
It took captain Freon 10 minutes to drop 1-2 toggles (i cant remember) on my tank with his blaster. Feel frigging free, but you seriously need some testing on the test serverAnd he, mind you, used a bit more powers than just brawl.
-
Ill try to sum it up for an example fight that would be easy to explain without explaining all the options.
Click arena terminal inside arena, and make sure the friends you are fighting are inside arena as well (you dont need to be at same arena building, just inside one).
1.) click create event
2.) choose type of match
3.) choose level range
4.) choose match time (usually 10 or 20 minutes)
5.) choose amount of players
6.) invite everybody to the match by /ai <name> at your chat window.
7.) if you do team match, arrange people into teams by choosing a 'color' for each player.
8.) when everybody is ready, click 'invite only' at lower right corner, and click "start event" twice. Timer should start.
For a gladiator match, people need to choose their gladiators before being invited to the match by opening a terminal and clicking 'your gladiators'.
Hints:
- remember to buy insps beforehand
- Start match detoggled, because toggles automatically drop when match starts, and you may have towait for them to recharge.
- heroes can fight villains in arena
- Experiment and have fun! -

Having stalkers there actually creates the exciting sensation of cold waves up your spine when you enter a PVP zone

Right...I just feel the nausea welling up in my gut where a game of skill is turned into a game of luck.
