This. EM is still in "time out" from being a tad overpowered before. Like most over-nerfed sets, the overpowered was due to a bug that of course was not discovered until after the nerf was handed out.
Still, there is hope now. Fire tanks finally got out of "time out" with burn getting changed somewhat recently. So maybe, if we are lucky, EM will get altered to make it actually fun again sometime soon.

There's IOs for that, or even Acro. Shall I mention /elec has no heal until 28? Like I said, /dark will be slower to develop, but that doesn't mean it's a bad set.
My main complaint with /dark on Brutes has always been that late game, it falls flat on its face for most redside content.
And yeah, you can IO for knockback, or Acro. You pretty much have to, to be honest. But the amount of fear you'll face in game is so low, for elec, it's barely a detriment, especially when you consider you can always save a breakfree for it. (Seriously, one Warden type, and one Tsoo boss, and that's all I recall that uses fear in PVE) -

There is only one reason to play Dark Armor over Electric, and that is Fear Protection IMO.
That will almost never come up in PVE, sooo...
Dark Armor does have "THE BEST HEAL IN THE GAME!!11" but I also feel it's the anchor that weighs the entire set down and it's innate negatives outweighs it's positives.
Also, do it on a brute. -

Depends on your definition of "Early maturation".
And if you plan on IO'ing at all.
If you're planning on SOing for most of the run..
Dark Armor does have a bit of an early golden period due to Dark Regeneration, but it falters in the mid 30s.
Elec Armor matures later than Dark Armor BUT doesn't suffer from the "ok, wtf am I playing this set" syndrome 35-50.
I recommend Electric Armor! -

If it's "non-combat" powers or just an alternate explanation of powersets in game, I don't mind. IE: Super Reflexes as a "Psychic Prediction of attacks". Just don't press the suspension of disbelief too far!
- Immunity to Psionics/Stealth Detection
Guilty on one character of this! But, I roll it all the way around to the point it's supposed to be as much a handicap as it is a benefit. IE: No one can friendly psychic message him either.

Random question, but was doing a hero side tip mission detailing how she's famous for her plant based schemes, and I was like.. "But she has no plant based powers. "
Was wondering if anyone else was confused by this.
(Personally, I'd make her a Thorns Assault/Earth Armor (NO GRANITE) NPC. Cause NPCs get to break rules, yo.) -

Yeaaah, Gale, you're normally fairly cool, but jumping him about level pacting if he didn't even ask about it is kind of rude. He could have been a new player even.
Everyone should get an initial benefit of the doubt and not be assumed to leap to the worst possible action. (Even if 99 percent of the time, they do.) -
I actually think it's going to wind up being important and a major issue that there is -not- Alternate Recluse's. Ties into his whole "fighting the well at every step" thing a bit, IMO. What makes Recluse so bizarre is that he's an aberration to the very natural order of the universe.
Or something. It's late, and I can't phrase it like Im thinking it.
Also, maybe in Praetoria, it was Richter that got hit with Mustard Gas instead of Cole, and already had one foot in the grave when they reached the well?
(Was it mustard gas that made Cole sick? I dont have my Web of Arachnos book handy.) -
This already happened for me with the Science booster and the tailor upgrade included with it. Still haven't bought it either.

Is there a listing of average Single Target DPS per Brute Primary without factoring in things outside said primary?
I'd be curious where Energy Melee stands. -

If it's a choice of having one new powerset for free every 6 months to a year, or having 4 powersets a year with the option to pay for them, I'd rather have the latter, honestly. Nothing says I -have- to buy the sets. Heck, if I could have opted out of demon summoning in going rogue, and got a cheaper price, I would have in a heartbeat.
