I hope Aion is in better shape UI wise.
[/ QUOTE ]
Sadly no, CoX UI is a lot better then what AION currently has right now. Granted AION is still in beta and who knows what it may look like during the next beta event. Even worse you can't flip your mouse, its opposite CoXs setup and can't be changed. -

Say bye-bye to xxxx farms!
[/ QUOTE ]
Do NOT talk about exploits my friend. We've already been warned. Not everyone is hip to them (yes xxxx is rampant..., but you can't openly talk about it unless you're /bug reporting it).
[/ QUOTE ]
You have to be kidding... It takes all of logging into AP on any server for a total of about 30 secs to know about this one. This ain't no secret.
[/ QUOTE ]
It's actually against forum rules to announce bugs. Doesn't matter how well known the bug is to the pbase.
On another note, its kinda funny watching the server page spaz out. Up, Down, Up, Down, Up, Down, been doing this for about 30 minutes now lol -
Being Necro/Pain, no doubt you're in melee a lot healing pets with your aura. The low mag stun isn't a bad power to have to bonus mitigation. I suggest maybe picking up your patron hold and slotting some hold procs into the power. Hit the bosses and lts with the hold, OG will take care of the minions for you. GL

The general understanding by many at the time, and forgive me for not saving multiple ancient forum posts and threads to substantiate my statement, was that the only reason we got /Poison is because the powers that be did not want MMs to have /Rad. If someone has something by a red name to say otherwise I would love to see it.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well I'd like to see a post that states either direction or intention. I don't recall a Dev ever making that statement throughout beta. Player speculation isn't always spot on
Point being poison works differently from radiation emission. I have 3 rads at 50 and soon will have a Poison at 50. They simply don't work the same in game regardless of what they look like on paper. -
Emergencies occur when game breaking bugs are found. The Devs rarely announce those fixes, but they are a nessasary evil. Normally they are good about announcing patch updates, as usual monday and fridays are the normal days.
FYI game patches can occur throughout the week, but are normally announced.
GL w/ the GF, Took a year to get my wife into the game. She loves it now and its a great way to spend time with her. -
[ QUOTE ]
I doubt we'll ever see /Rad or why did they bother making /Poison to begin with?
[/ QUOTE ]
Neither of these sets compare really, both work differently. Also remember if and when rad is ported it will be a watered down version. Look at the numbers when you compare Defender Trick Arrow to MM Trick Arrow. Rad and every set will be treated the same when ported over. Kin, Thermal, Sonic, dont matter which. -
Well Electric Control IMO will be the next control set for both controllers and doms. As it seems the devs are avoiding giving doms illusion and doms getting Electrical Assault last wave.
Most of the powers are already in the game. High chance the pets will be those electric gremlins running around Caps redside. -

My best advice for melee MMs is get in the mix. Depending on your secondary w/ BG mode on you're perfect safe to run into the center. On my Thug/FF I'd just bub and run into the center of the group. Rinse and repeat. On my Necro/Storm, I'd gale things into a corner. Trap them w/ hurricane and drop freezing rain on them.
You get the idea, personally I've see too many MMs playing it safe. You're one of the sturdiest ATs in the game, act like you are. -

Hoping since with GRs release the Devs will actually give illusion to doms. Would love an illusion/psi, been wanting one for years. Mostly for concept, might roll as a ill/fire with the changes.
-
Um players who are not exploiting farm bugs would care. If running say normal AE arcs reward double during x2xp. AE is not only farms FYI.
-
Have the Devs decided on that state of double XP affecting AE missions? I'm sure its a concern but my search fu is weak so a quick answer works.
-
CoF I've found quite useful on my Dark/ Tank as a form of damage mitigation. Excellent on the ITF and LGTF, gl EM/Dark is pretty high end cost.

It would be easier to have pvp IOs drop off mobs during a TF/SF. This would improve the supply to the market a lot. Tweak it so it don't work through flashbacks and you're set.
[/ QUOTE ]
They're ===> PvP <=== IOs. They're not for the PvEers. If people aren't willing to step into a PvP zone to try and earn some, then they should be at the mercy of the people who do to put them on the market.
[/ QUOTE ]
There's more than one way to get rewards in this game. I can buy a recipe that only drops from the rare TF drop table on the market without ever having to actually do a TF. When people talk about supply to the market, it's a valid point. There's nothing wrong with a PVPer earning inf by selling his recipes to a PVEer who wants to pay an agreeable price. But I think most of us would say that there's a supply problem if recipe prices are topping 700M.
Even at those prices you have a problem that new participants don't have incentive to go there. Let me use an analogy: if I offered you a job to work for me and said that every year at your annual review there was a random 10% chance that I'd increase your pay, would you like that deal? Of course not. You want a guarantee that if you put in the work, you get compensated.
For a new PVPer under the new drop rules it's incredibly likely that going into a zone and participating in PVP for an hour or two will result in two things: utter humiliation and no drops. For something to act as an incentive, there has to be at least a perception of a reasonable chance of receiving the carrot.
If the devs meant for PVP recipes to serve as a way to benefit those who live their lives in PVP zones, then mission accomplished. If they meant them to be an incentive to encourage participation in PVP, then not only was the initial implementation a failure but the latest changes are failure squared.
[/ QUOTE ]
Indeed, I'm fully aware they are "PvP" intended. Increasing supply on the market will be good the players in general. And seriously other than the procs most of the set bonuses are not very good for PvE only players.
Hardcore pvpers don't only PvP, they farm and run TFs to earn cash for their PvP builds. Adding another drop source would increase supply and lower prices. Who can really argue against that. -

Fixed PvP rewards to function once again. Now, influence, inspirations, and other normal rewards occur on every PvP kill, while PvP IO recipes can only be rewarded on rep-valid kills.
[/ QUOTE ]
This means no recipes in the arena right? -
Considering the amount of "free" stuff we get every issue (except of course i15). We can't really complain, these extra transactions pay for new free updates. And really its only 10 bucks :/

When solo bubble your pets, when on teams bubble your teammates. Granted depending on the team the pet AI may be more reliable.

Speaking of which, a SS tanker (willpower or regen, I forget) makes an excellent scrapper thanks to the fury.
[/ QUOTE ]
Tankers have Gauntlet not Fury, would be willpower as tankers do not have regen.
[ QUOTE ]
I have a 44 SS tanker and she runs and fights like a scrapper. The DPS is feels very scrapper-like, and the KB is just lovely (tanker base damage multiplier is higher than brute base. Brutes rely on rage. Or fury. I forget which is which).
[/ QUOTE ]
Tankers do have a higher base damage than Brutes. But it doesn't take much to build fury high enough to negate the difference. Plus Brutes damage bonus caps at 750% more than double tanker bonus. -
Must be new, I got two thug MMs and never seen this. Then again neither of them are /dark
-
Well from that list if this was pre i13 pvp I'd say Necro/TA hands down. But in light of TAs swift shot to the gut in i13, don't waste your time.
Second choice would be Merc/Poison for pvp reasons. For PvE I'd say Thug/Storm, does pretty decent in pvp as well.
