We haven't been doing Turbo Starr's ITF runs when Turbo Starr was absent, no.

Quote:You can already set your allies on fire AND encase them in a block of ice--simultaneously--to their benefit. Until such a time that I can have someone cast Thermal Shield on me to get rid of that ugly Ice Shield, I'm thinking weather will just be for show.I'm thinking, aside from personal preference, there would be other issues involved as well. If it rains, does it shorten (say) Burn's duration? Prevent oil slick from lighting? Shorten ranges? Shorten perception? Is Ice more effective? If it snows, does Ice become more (more liquid to freeze) or less (enemies already working through slick surfaces, less of a difference) effective?

It was cool. We were running over stuff in Silver Mantis's Strike Force, and when we were done the idea of the channel came up. I figured there was no sense in just standing around talking about it, so the channel was created!

Though you said you don't want to do Demon Summoning, it is an option for extra pets. There's the Living Hellfire that spawns off of the Hell on Earth buff. You basically infect one of the Demon Henchmen and it spawns what's essentially a Fire Imp once every few seconds. I haven't seen this power in action, though, so I'm not sure how the Living Hellfire compares to Fire Imp, and I don't know how many can be active at once.
You can take Necromancy for Soul Extraction, which requires a defeated target, but very much adds a pet to follow you around and deal damage. I haven't used it myself, so I don't know if it can be controlled like a normal Henchman, but I seem to recall that you can give it a name.
You can take Thugs for the Gang War power, which summons around 10 little wimpy thugs to the party (the exact number varies from cast to cast). This is by far the most numerous way to rack up the pets, though the Posse summoned by Gang War will not show up in your pet window, so healing them might be difficult with a single-target heal. Shouldn't be an issue with Dark Miasma, though.
Something to keep in mind: None of the Mastermind Patron pools have any pet powers. With the six Henchmen and Dark Servant, you'll be stuck at seven until you summon the Soul Extraction or Gang War, which will put you at 8 or around 15-17. -
I'll supply the petless Mastermind. It's suicide for you guys to go it alone!
P.S.:
It has a billion hit points! -

I do. And then I buy the salvage, and craft the Enhancement, then sell it, and wind up with like a 20x profit.

Quote:I'll keep that in mind, but it's not what happened. I got the e-mail. I read the e-mail. I didn't claim the inf since I wanted to claim it on a different character, but switching characters somehow caused the e-mail to get deleted entirely. And if you hit send just as the globals hiccup, you lose the e-mail with all attachments.
Even if it was 100M inf, it's nothing I can't get back within a day on the market. Silly bidders bid sillily. -
Hey, I guess it's a late birthday present, but I spent a few hours tonight getting Eabrace's signature character B. Samson his 750th badge! And then some! Naturally, he's been awarded the Adventurer badge.
At the time of this posting, he's at 755, but there's still another 3 to go with Issue 17 content. Let's give it up for ol' Sammy!
(Pardon the image quality. It was taken on my new, top-of-the-line gaming rig.)

Quote:I did not attempt to claim the inf on the villain. The e-mail was never there to begin with.Bolded yellow bit is part of your problem. Villians cannot pick up e-mail sent from Heroes, nor visa versa.
Did you read the e-mail with the hero that sent it prior to switching to the villain? That's exactly what I did. -
Not sure the exact circumstances here, but the game swallowed up an e-mail with inf attached to it. This is what I did:
- Logged in on a Hero. Sent either 10M or 100M inf (don't remember) to my global handle.
- Saw that I had e-mail, and checked it to see what the attachment interface looked like.
- Logged out and back in on a Villain.
- The e-mail was not there, so I went back to the Hero.
- The e-mail was not there either. Inf went bye-bye.
- Both characters have Friends and Super Group Only enabled.

One year closer to death!
Reminds me of people who have a crisis at age 50. "The average life expectency is 76 years. You shoulda had your mid-life crisis sixteen years ago!" -
Quote:You're the first person I've met who's green-black colorblind.Would it KILL the guy to throw in a bit of colour in his repertoire? I mean, seriously, he's all black and red and black and red. [...] Tarantula are mostly black though their fire and toxins have some colour to them, but the Mistresses and Queens just have more red markings [...]

Unless I'm forgetting something:

Well, I have what is probably the lowest-end machine for anyone playing the game, but I can play again!
Still got room for li'l ol' me? I can bring something or other! -
My favorite moment was getting a petless Mastermind to 50 and decking it out with IOs.

Here's to another 6 years of quirky builds! -
Quote:My understanding is that there was no counter in effect prior to the implementation of the /chan_timeout feature, which means it's impossible for it to begin counting chronologically any earlier than today's build. My understanding from beta chatter is that the timeout value is counted from the implementation of the feature... ie, today. However, I haven't seen any redname confirmation on that.
This is correct, but does not answer the question asked. -

The first thing I thought:
Pfff. Ninja Run. -
All that traffic and still no one will update the Demon Summoning page. A little too much "Gimme!" and not enough "Hey, I should put some effort into this" by the users foor my tastes.

No, this isn't a post about Ultra Mode or any improvements to graphics in the game. So if you're deliberately avoiding checking out this post because you're of the assumption that it's about something you already know, then you're not reading this and I'm allowed to make fun of you. Neener neener!
My computers have problems.- My main compy, which I built in 2003 complete with a 1.83GHz Athlon XP CPU, is slowly deteriorating due to motherboard wear and tear. Two of its three RAM slots are inaccessible to the CPU now, and the third one occasionally glitches out by sending back values that weren't the ones written to it, which leads to faulty data manipulation or--unsurprisingly--system crashes. It is not suitable for playing City of Heroes.
- My laptop, which I've been using since 2006, recently lost its hard drive due to some kind of physical breakage inside it. This is after the motherboard's Wi-Fi interface went bad, and the video output is either greyscale (S-Video) or missing the red channel (VGA). It was a good computer otherwise, but now doesn't have a brain.
For the longest time, the "3D Resolution Scaling" feature has worked incorrectly on some lower-end devices in that instead of making the full scene become more pixely, it just upscaled however many pixels starting from the bottom left corner which, with the UI drawn on top, resulted in some annoying video feedback that made the game unplayable.
Ah! But with Issue 17, it works correctly! Now, with my minimal graphics settings and a reduced rendering buffer, I can get a good 60fps! Hey, maybe I'll even be able to run it full-screen (1024x600) now!
