I've been waiting for this day for a long time... the day when my badge-collecting Villain could visit Paragon City and collect badges left and right; stars and glittery tears falling from her eyes. And a good day it was: for my first day as a Rogue netted me 182 new badges, bringing my total from 545 to 727 (I'm missing lots of Day Job and Event badges).
Thursday is now in my sights, for even more badges become available through Flashback as a thoroughbred Hero.
I know I'm not the only one. Come on, which of you Tourists are only visiting new lands to pad your badge count? How many did you get today? -
Triumph/Villain. Started happening after maintenence.

Same here for me and a friend. Dropped me through the zone geometry when I logged back in.

There's a progress bar for the Architect XXV badge (25 Architect badges), but it's not working correctly. I noticed this when it said I have 21 AE badges, when in fact I have 26:

1) Beat up level 20+ enemies for tips. Bosses in Sharkhead work best.
2) Do the tip missions for Rogue Points. Each mission is one point.
3) Watch out for Public Fame! When you complete a tip, you get 1 Public Fame (up to 5) and they last for 20 hours. No more tips if you fill up all 5!
4) After 10 Rogue Points, you get a Morality Mission dropped as a tip.
5) Complete the Morality Mission to turn Rogue.
6) Repeat for Hero (grabbing tips from Paragon City enemies) -
What's the first thing you did when you switched Alignments and traveled from Paragon City <-> Rogue Isles for the first time?
I know we won't be having any characters doing this until about noon tomorrow, but when I was on the beta server with my Villain, I hopped on the sub to Independence Port and, seeing the distance I'd have to travel to get out of the zone, hung a sharp left and proceeded to get pwnd by Lusca for a free trip to the hospital.
Efficiency at its finest! -
*Hands out some crow and mustard for all the "Don't get your hopes up" sticks in the mud who insisted Going Rogue was not coming a day early*

I dunno about Defenders nabbing Patron sets, but I do know that Dark Mastery and Electricity Mastery for Corruptors look quite a bit better than Soul Mastery and Mu Mastery.

Quote:Or you could use that mag-4 stun and 10 seconds of Untouchable to lose aggro, set up, and go back.Let me self rez mid mob, and attempt to call back all my henchmen, buff em up (dont forget all the single target shield buffs we get too) and be set to go before the mobs stun wears off. Oh and do it all with half endurance.
Hold it... An alternate idea? One that isn't yours? Something different from what you'd prefer? It may be some form of blasphemy, but I'm gonna stick with it! -
Side switching does not restrict who can earn Alignment Merits. Any Hero or Villain can earn them regardless of any previous Alignment status. Say you take your Peacebringer redside and become a Villain. You will be able to earn Villain Merits with that character.

Quote:Frankly, I welcome this detail. Villains have been shafted in so many other ways in the past and stuck through it that I don't mind one bit that Heroes aren't having something handed to them on a silver platter.OK, OK, I'm splitting hairs on what constitutes a "Hero." But the bottom line is, if any of my blueside toons want access to PPP's, I gotta turn to the dark side, at least temporarily. At that point, that toon is no longer a hero, s/he is a villain. Even if s/he redeems hirself and goes back to blue [once you go blue, you're always true
] doesn't change the fact that s/he could only get access to PPP's as a villain only. Redside AT's don't have to go blue to get access to APP's.

I saw a "NOP" in Nova Praetoria, though I don't have the quote handy.
It may be referring to "Nova Praetoria" in and of itself.
If not, then it's a bytecode instruction, short for "no operation." It's basically a way to make the processor do nothing for a given number of cycles. Back in the olden days, this was handy for timing code, but you don't see it as much anymore. -
I was playing a Hero arc the other day. "You saved us! I thought we were going to die!" said a hostage when I freed them. "Shut it," I replied, "I'm only doing this because it pays well and I get to beat people up without getting arrested."

Could you give some more information about what the crap a Fame Point is? (-:

Quote:What kind of cone attack do you have in mind? Slice? Eviscerate? Shadow Maul, One Thousand Cuts, or Flashing Steel? Those are all melee-range cone attacks. Those suit a Stalker just fine.Every stalker set has kept the cone power, however.
Minor oversight on the devs part, perhaps?
Repulsing Torrent in Kinetic Melee is identical to Energy Torrent in Energy Blast. It's a ranged cone knockback, which is not characteristic of a Salker. Shockwave is the exception here, but that was a tier-9 while Repulsing Torrent is tier-7. -

I unlocked both sets of Epic Archetypes back before they adjusted XP rewards. *Flex*
Never really tried Warshade past level 8, so I rolled up a new one and got invited to a team yesterday, which happened to be in The Hollows. It was a group of inexperienced players, and while I was the only Kheldian there, it reminded me of a different PuG a couple weeks ago: I was on a team with an Arachnos Soldier who was doing the aura mission for the first time ever.
"Man," I said to myself, "just because I'm a Warshade doesn't necessarily mean anymore that I'm experienced. I've deleted more 50s than these guys have even seen!" -
I deleted one of my 50s. On purpose. It was a standard issue "I never play with this and never will again, and don't even like the way it plays, so I'm deleting it" scenario, but still... I deleted one of my 50s. On purpose.
Level 50 characters kinda started with a bit of special status, since, you know... they're level 50 characters. But after accumulating a fair number of them, it didn't seem so special anymore, and deleting a character that wasn't all that entertaining anyway no longer seemed like such an unspeakable evil.
The thing basically got to 50 in three weeks with its eyes closed, but the amount of effort I put into it was, oh, maybe level 31 due to those couple of Strike Forces I ran...
What about you guys? Who's at the point now where a level 50 character doesn't have special status just because of that, and should they find one they don't like, may actually delete it? -
Energy.
...Well, given the thoroughness of the question, that's the thoroughest answer I can give. -
Quote:It's a reality, bubby! Certain permadom builds can consistently slap over 50 magnitude of Hold power on a single target, which is enough to incapacitate Arch-villains even while the Purple Triangles are up.Is that actually possible? I'll be rethinking my gameplan vs AVs if you're implying that overcoming the PTOD is a reality. And I'll stand corrected too, because that is awesome.
Jack tends to get into "Ice Sword mode" when up against any given single target. He'll cycle through Ice Blast, Freezing Touch and Greater Ice Sword once at the start, then it's nothing but Ice Sword over and over. If this is corrected, he'll be much better both for holds and damage output.
Don't forget Accuracy. Glacier has an utterly unreasonable 0.8X Accuracy to start with. -
Don't be so quick to shoot down the idea, guys. There was a thread about this back in December, and it was even Ice/Earth:
/Earth: SOLO AV Killer!
