    new bases

    /signed of course.

I want to have some employees in my bases. Maintenance administrative, R&D and even securtiy personel.

Would be nice if this is part of the new issue.
  2. I have often thrown away a character to rebuild it in another way. Two hours of gametime is not much to lose to tweak your character that little bit to perfection.

    not signed.
  3. /signed.

I so hate going through those long lists.

    I feel Guilty.

Problem with Philip to me is still the idea that I am doing evil acts like taking candy from a baby.

True evilish sure and one of the arcs where the depravity of evilness is shown. Still it is taking candy from a baby. Not something a level 40+ villain should be considering doing. I miss the whole rising above petty crime thing in the arcs. This arc would be more fitting for a lower character though.
  5. A brilliant zone. I like it a lot.

I would like to have three contacts though. One for hero and one for villain and one for coop. I am sure a new faction who doesnt care about who is helping them can be invented. Alternate is having representatives of Vanguard and Midnight and possibly Crey (free opportunity for all) in the zone for helping out.

I would love to see more villain groups though. I like the idea of the goldbrickers for example. And skulls. Go hunt Kill Skulls!

Yeah that is a nice evil arc. Its evil allright in th old traditional evil way. A bit petty of course for someone about to clobber Lord Recluse but it fumes evilness. Though the Dr. Creed arc is nasty as well.
  7. Well everyone is assuming this is about villains only having to make a choice.

What if there is another haiku about heroes making a choice as well?
  8. I have dropped radio/police missions more then once. Especially when i coulndt find that entrance!
  9. Lol I like those suggestions Leif. especially the now people can train with me. So long as they are lower level then you of course. Then you can stand next to the brawler and let the younglings benefit from your experience

The ability to disguise yourself is great to.
  10. Still those Vet rewards are very nice indeed. I personally love the new helmets. To bad I have to wait a long time before i get them though. The new powers are very handy as well and help you get through the low levels with a nice edge.

I hope they will keep up the nice rewards. Even if some of them are re-used.

I do agree that the 54 reward is a bit weak though. Would be more fun if you could choose from other temp powers instead.

With regards to E-Bs; I'd like to see them downgraded to Bosses when soloing. In Safeguards for example you get to take on a Boss in Peregrine but bring enough players and you face an E-B version of one of the Rogue Island villains; bring a lot and you get an AV version.

    [/ QUOTE ]

As it is getting harder and harder to team up I have to /sign this one. Make it so that on the lowest setting Heroic and Villainous for soloplay you will not encounter EB's but Bosses.
  12. [ QUOTE ]

Perhaps a setting inbetween AV/hero and EB called Heroic/Villainous Sidekick. Their slightly better than an EB but not as good as an AV.

If we want to get really fancy we could give them their own titles "Ice Mistral <Villainous Sidekick of Scirocco>" or "Mynx <Heroic Sidekick of Synapse>".

    [/ QUOTE ]

That might work. I could be in favour for this option. No longer the AV designation but still a very tough opponent as it should be.

    [ QUOTE ]

And for the record the only Statesman I've ever fought was the Recluses Victory version, who was incredibly tough (damn perma-unstoppable) and took a full group of eight villains and three vengeanced up heavies to bring down (it still took us 15 minutes).

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well we got slaughtered time and again there and had to abandon the TF to lick our wounds and count the amount of debt we had gotten. Good to hear though that it IS possible to take him down.
  13. Problem is that a good team go through even an AV as a hot knife through butter. Now i agree that some enemies are so epic that defeating them should be a chalenge. However we need a mechanisms to make the other opponents also tough enough for those good teams to be more then a speedbump. The AV system sems to work nicely.

And if you ever tried to get Statesman. I am still trying to get all my limbs back from the last time I saw him and his accursed friends. That fight is epic enoung in my book.

    Stomp

Interesting idea. A new PvP zone with a purpose.

The problem as I see it is that the heroes get a tough job. They need to kill the Giant monster while defending against player villains attacks.

The villains just have to fight the heroes to make sure they can't defeat the GM. To me this puts the heroes at a disavantage.

But a thing like this sounds like a fun special event.
  15. How about a badge system for creating missions. When you add more missions/arcs or when they get played by others you earn badges. These badges then unlock more stuff for you to add in your new missions. Like special maps, elite bosses or even arch villains.
  16. From a villains view helping save the world occasionally is not a bad idea. Especially when its nutters like Rikti doing it. Sure you can hope that the heroes will mannage but do you really trust the survival of the most important thing (namely me) into their hands? Not me. I could try to work with other villains but I know how treacherous I can be. In those cases working with heroes is easier. They are so predictable.

But for lesser threats why should i bother indeed?

About the suggestion of making heroes help villains out:

Yes, it would be fun to see the heroes squirm a little when they need something done I can help with so long as I can reap in some aditional rewards at their expense.
  17. But Phantom has a point.

There should be a very good reason why heroes and villains are willing to work together. With the Rikti this was obvious. They try to invade our earth and when we let them we get sucked into the deep smelly brown stuff.

Helping out a fledgling heroine or saving a few of these insufferable longbow officers (Hey didnt i beat you to a pulp yesterday?) is a small price to pay to insure that my plans for world domination does not come to a halting stop.

The reason to help the midnighters however was less then obvious from a vilainous point of view. I did liked the evil arc in which you help a future enemy to more power. That was more like it. I enjoyed the arc and the tf of course but it didn't really fit into my view of what villains should do.

In new expansions I do hope that the villainous mindset is given more thought. After all, why should I risk life and limb to rescue somebody from a powerful threat? The question should be, how can I benefit from the chaos this threat creates?

So new co-op zones is fine with me, so long as it fits the mind sets of both villains and heroes.
  18. I prefer having a co-op zone above no new zone.

I agree that you can overdo the Co-Op thing. However for me this game has not yet reached that point. So I wouldn't mind seeing more co-op stuff in the future.

Rose Star and Spark Blade don't appear anywhere, though I guess it's possible the Devs made up models for them for "City of Hero" at some stage and just haven't had a chance to add them to the western game at all.

    [/ QUOTE ]

western game? You mean that CoH in Korea differs much from the one we play in? Or is it like zukunft and vigilance?
  20. Plus it is cost effective as well. One zone to give more to do for both sides without having to spend the money to make two zones.

An alternative is to make it a PvP zone with storyarcs for both sides. Problem is that a lot of people don't like the whole PvP thing and will ignore the zone. Just like most people never set foot into the current PvP zones. So even though this could be an exciting thing I am not sure if it would work out.

    Rep

I think that anpotehr rep level ould be interesting. But not in the way of more mobs or higher levels.

I am thinking more in the way of how ouroboros missions work. Randomizing specials like Villians getting free buffs or players gets debuffed or can't use inspirations etc.

That way, every mission will be a surprise what tricks the opponents have this time.
  22. [ QUOTE ]
The video is here if you're interested.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Wow great movie. But I fail to see how it relates to the CoH we know and love. Besides the obvious better graphics.
  23. Give me a pc any day. Those america cars guzzle to much gasoline anyway
  24. GrinningSpade

    New Map.

Plus while we are at it. The hollows has changed a bit as well. It still looks the same but its much less dangerous out there since a lot of villains have been captured and put into the ZIG.
  25. We also have dark energy. Also a signature of an epic archetype.
