  1. Interesting idea but no thanks. For one thing it would ruin the economy. Plus heroes and villains should earn their rewards fighting the good fight, not becoming addicted gamblers.

    So no.
  2. I might be tempted to try a brute once more. Non so far ever hit level 20 before I think I will try the easy mode next SS/WP. Lets see if i can make that work.

BTW I found MM thug/dark a pleasure to level up. Even if the setup is a bit tiresome. There is just something good about being able to send forth your thugs while you twidle your mustaches and cackle evily.
  3. I would love to have a proper macro or bind editor. Something which would making macros and such easy. Having good macros and binds are a huge advantage to those who have mastered them. It should not be reserved for the few who know how to create them.
  4. I wouldnt like that option sorudo. But I think I would like an option to level up more slowly. If only to be able to catch the storyarcs i want for that toon before i outlevel them.

    Question

If i could transfer to the US account I think I would do so. In the hope of course that there would actually be more people online and getting a team would not be such a pain. Or being in a SG that is not died out.

I expect though to be disapointed.
  6. An 'uneducated' guess actually. But they got a working arena system, they have temporary powers on a timer for a reward and that in my nonexpert opinion seems to be a bigger challenge then the rest of the work needed to implement this. I could be mistaken of course but at first glance this doesnt seem to be a real hard programming problem.
  7. The game made sure that it is easier to gain xp and levl faster then ever.Fine if you want to reach 50 for the first time. Not so fine if you allredy have a few 50's and you are not waiting for more to get there.

What about implementing an option that would make you earn less xp (inf stays at normal levels). This way you will be able to do every arc you like and make the road up more leisurely.

The xp not earned could count towards getting a badge to 'reward' the hard boiled player.
  8. I do hope they record those fights. I would love to see em.
  9. It wouldnt be to hard to make this an automated event. If it would be worth to spend the time developing it? I have no idea as I am not into the PvP scene. Of course an event which would give nifty game effects should pull a few PvE'ers into PvP'in.
  10. They did this before? Oh well this is a good idea if I say so myself

But what I meant is that this should not be an event. This should be something that would be available ingame and scheduled to be done at regualr times. The prizes would also be something ingame and desirable to make people WANT to have it. Think about a cool temp power for more ownage, statistics boost, double xp during the period, a power to look like a villaingorup of choice, you appearing in the Recluse Victory TF as opponent etc. Something giving you a nice boost (hopefully without making you to overpowered especialy considering you won from the best allready)

And defenders could win a Championship. When they fight in the Defender 'weight' class.
  11. And lets not mentions those like me with Altoitus who always lag far behind those who don't. But I really really don't want to level even faster in this game. Its to easy to hit 50 as it is.
  12. In another game I used to play. PvP was a very important aspect and loads of people were involved in it. Be it in clanwars, fights over realestate (castles), plain character killing and a grand PvP tournament for the title of Hero. Now that last part is something I can see implemented in CoX.

In this championship Hero's and Villians are matched to each others in arena's fighting bouts. Eliminating each other until one victor remains who can then claim the title of Champion. To makes matters more interesting for every AT is that the championships would have one champion per AT Plus one open Championship where every AT can enter to become the Grand Champion. This way even defenders can become Champions!

The Championship would give him besides a nice shiny badge and a unique title also some interesting temporary benefits. These lasts until the next round of fights occur (say once every two weeks) and a new Champion is to be crowned.

Perhaps something that would interest the PvP'ers out here?
  13. so basicly we want more 3D mask like the jester, samurai and enforcer mask set.

  14. They also made sure that players will reach the endgame levels a lot faster then before in lineage II. The first 20 levels can be done in less then one hour if you do the correct missions.

When they would do something like that for CoH it would be equivalent to:

Hit one hellion and ding hit level 5. Talk to cop in Hollows, ding a raptor pack and level 10.

Of course, then they want you to grind (trust me CoX has 0 grind) for a year (assuming you powerlevel) to max level. And pray you got enough gold to buy yourself that topgrade stuff you need to rule the PvP scene (Which in Lineage II is a very important aspect of the game).

I am sure they wont implement this for for CoX as we have no problem of hitting level 50 quickly and it is not as if we in CoX need to be level 50 to have fun in PvP either. We also don't have castles and fortresses to conquer and no cool powers are to be gained in doing arena chanpionfights either. Which reminds me of a suggestion to be made.

I can see your point, but what really bugs me are when civilians are shoving me aside on the pavement while I try to listen to the funky 3D virtual police band radio! Me a level 35 Stone Tanker! Even the cars do their utmost to swerve out of the way - but civilian pedestrians - oh no.

Thats another topic. But yeah that is plain rude. Naturlly I need to remind those who is boss and have my thugs beat the culprit to a puddle of goo. But alas we cannot do such a thing!

    PUG Fun!

PuG's are great fun. You never know what people you are getting. What brilliant strategies or silly mistakes they make. You never get a truly optimized team and every mix is unique and has its own merrits andd flaws.

Besides you meet new and interesting people that way. I like PuG-ing.

    Personal Space

I am trying to understand why people would do such a thing and I can't imagin why. Besides being a generally antisocial person to begin with.

Just give everybody space. Be they roleplayers, farmers, pvp'ers or badgehunters. The servers are not so crowded that there is any reason to be anoyed with people minding their own business.
  18. Paragonwiki is now part of the bigger wiki community. They dont control who is advertising.

    CLAWS.

My main peev with claws is the way they look on females while they are running. It looks very very not heroic like and reminds me of the way mrs Bundy used to walk around in the series married with children. As you will agree while viscious she is not a good heroic example.
  20. Having played a mmorpg where scammers could wreck years of hard work in one fell blow to the point that you had no way of continuing with that character. I have learned to be very cautious about who to trust. I understand the feeling of hurt you get when such a thing happens to you.

However, as scams go. This one is not hard to overcome gamewise. After all you got the influence to just buy new salvage as needed. In fact I don't bother to protect my salvage stacks form my sg's. If it gets robbed then I consider it petty theft.

The true damage is the one to your trust. And that damage is not easily repaired. Especially since this game offers no way to retaliate.

Edit: Dont expect NCSoft to do anything about scammers. They wont do it. The game I talked about earlier was in fact also from NCSoft and I dont see them changing policies in this matter.

Have you ever tried creating anything on a computer you spend half the time kicking the stupid thing around the room demanding to know why it won't do that entirly reasonable, fairly simple thing your asking it to do. You sit down thinking something will take you half an hour and some 3 or 4 hours later your still sitting there irrate and frustrated cursing the Gods of Silicon and all there evil spawn. To me those 4 'simple' things you mentioned is quite a significant workload already in reality.

Oh yeah been there. Even a tiny change can be a big nightmare developer wisely.
  22. As I said on one of those 39 pages

I would prefer if the whole shebang was transfered to the states. New players could flock to our lovely servers and we would be able to play on all those shiny heavily populated ones. Even though when we play those servers are a bit empty because those silly americans sleep and work at the wrong time.
  23. Well if this is easily doable then I hope they will implement it one day. I do have a stone tanker who would like to have a customizable stone mallet.

    News.

as i understood it. It should be the newspaper you can read as an emote.
  25. GrinningSpade

    Power Emotes

Love the idea but it would mean making emotes for every single powerset and that is something i consider a bit of a waste of the developers time.
