See, that's not a problem for me. I'm far more interested in the stories that people write than the rewards you get for it.
I suspect that puts me in the minority (since for most game players effort MUST equal some sort of obvious rewards), but I think that's what the MA is all about - story, universe lore explansion and just gorram good fun.
You'll have comedy, you'll have drama, you've have really, really awful stories and then you'll get your tightly woven epics, which manage to tell a whole lot of story in just 5 missions.
I'm looking forward to reading and taking part in it all.

So am I, so am I. I don;t want any special rewards. Just the normal xp/inf stuff I would normally get. Because yes I think that there will be some very nice MA missions out there and it would be a break using these instead of the normal contacts. -
The thing I am fearing most with the MA is that they announced that it wont work like a normal mission reward wise. I want to be able to level up to 50 with the MA missions only.
-
Well its obvious they can do this now. Although it aint the game engine itself of course. How about making the cutscenes like this?
-
Problem is i don't think it serves much purpose. After all traveling around is quite easy. It also would require developers time which i think could be better spend elsewhere. Plus the idea of an SG base as tourist attraction? Not to mention the question why bother making your own sg base when team x made that handy dandy one you can use?
No, in the end I think I don't like the idea that much. -
Not sure if I like this or not. On one hand I think this is an unnecessary idea. On the other hand I enjoyed visiting bases and see what they did to the place.
-
Lol they keep getting better and better
And yes animated lips and while you are at it hair. -
Such an attack never should be something you don't see coming. Like the grand finale of a storyarc for example with plenty of warnings that this will happen.
Of course the villains can wreck the place but nothing should be destroyed because that would leave this up for to much grievance possibilities. -
Everyday is a different thing. I go as my mood swings. I choose one of my many alts to play and keep an eye on my friendlist and channels I belong to. Sometimes I get invited to a party and I almost always accept. Because I find a party always a nice change of pace compared to the soloing I normaly do. Other times I hear that people try to do something like a TF a GM hunt or a farm hunt for badges. If I got the time and am in the mood I then log a correct toon for that event and join. I like to do storyarcs and hunt badges while I go. But I noticed that I don't care much about those on the blue side. I find the arcs on Red side so much better. Blue side arcs seem bland compared to them.

Hmmm I like the idea of an AOE attack even if it doesn't do wicked damage.
But my vote goes to Extra cossie slot! -

Well, given my base is now well-defended, I'd like to TEST those defences!
[/ QUOTE ]
I have seen some defensive basis and that could become a problem. I am certain no AI can traverse some of those defenses, -
Fantastic idea Winterflare.
We visit their bases. It's time they visit ours.
I see two possible scenario's.
Last line of defense: The enemy is storming the base for a limited time only lucky enough. Sending endless hordes of villains into the base trying to wreck stuff and take names. Can you survive the storming of your base?
Vermin infestation: The enemy entered the base unopposed and are now looking for the goodie. They are everywhere everywhere and its up to you and your band of heroes to kick them out.
Sounds like fun to me. -
Ahem.
Welcome back and while you are here: Join the Dark Side. You know you want to. -
Can't you just make a bind of an emote like the halloween pumpkin one combined with a costume change?
-

Not sure how much confusion it would cause, but you could have the opt out option on a NPC in the Hub areas of a Zone, and to opt out you pay a scaled amount of Inf to be taken off or down their hit list.

Not a good idea. When you do things you get rewarded. They reduced penalties almost completely in this game. It would not make sense to make a mechanism that would cause a lot of players including me to get upset about.
Defeating a trophy hunter should be something interesting for you to do. Something you get rewarded for as well. Not something that grieves you.
So NO to costume changes. NO to inf costs of getting of the list. -
Assuming the AV thing gets scrapped.
Well you will have to make sure they only attack one target unless they are being attacked by someone else. You don't want to have a lvl 50 Trophy Hunter killing newbies in Atlas.
Also running away from the fight ought to be a valid option. So no Clockwork chases! Not everybody can go one on one vs a boss or worse. Plus you don't want them to spawn immediately after zoning. People with slower computers should not be penalized.
Ideally the hunter should be the same AT as its target perhaps?
Of course there should be at least a badge for hunting the hunters. -
Ok easy solution for that. Let them start in outbreak. And make them do that badge first.
-
AV attacks??????? When you are out there soloing with your squishy minding your own business perhaps relaxing, rpging or even trading? Not my idea of fun.
Besides I hate the concept of non powered normals trying to kill super powered beings. That's why I loath malta (and not just completely because they are nasty as well). -

VEAT cossies are borked and a rip, nuff said. They were thrown together and their execution is half-baked.

You are entitled to your opinion. I disagree with your opinion in this except for the no widows capes thing. -
Now I know who stole my fish!
Good luck on your future travels and if you want to experience the feel of spandex again don't hesitate to take a peek. -
Sad to see you guys go.
I agree with you on some points, I disagree on others. Lets not turn this into a discussion thread. Anyway i believe I should congratulate you and Sparx for setting up your house or am i jumping to conclusions? -
It makes sense that they get more people for the Lineage II EU division as that game is currently growing on the EU. It is however not good news for the EU community for our game.

The OP tried to plea for the blind invite method getting more accepted
[/ QUOTE ]
No he didn't. He just insulted all players who don't like blind invites.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ok, lets call it a plea disguised as an insult then. For me though he does have a good point despite the way he has chosen to present that point. -

Maybe Kill alls could be made Kill 99%s that way the odd mob you've missed as they are stuck in a wall could be much less annoying?
[/ QUOTE ]
That would work for me. Or perhaps a special command such as /stuck that would work only when almost every minion has been defeated
