Because with the emerald he can make catgirls. There are more ways to convince people to do your dirty work for you. Sure a mind control device like the statue is handy. Bit it is NOT the only way to do this.
Plus we still would end up with a few more catgirls.
Your idea to set a trap for them is an interesting plan with one problem. These catgirls are very slippery and managed to avoid being tracked before. Our best bet would be to enusre that they cannot get the item in the first place. And then wait for them to show up. We can even put a dummy with a tracking device in it for them to steal.
We follow the radio signal and beat everybody up, case solved. -
As I said earlier I prefer to go after the cats eye emerald first. The statue is a thing he needs after he transforms girls into catgirls.
Without the emerald there will be no catgirls in the first place.

Where are we heading? How would I know, I am not used to be on this side of investigation.
But which artifact first. With the statue one can can control cats, the whole ritual is a bit pointless without that statue. Now it is possible that Black Cat Neko can perform this ritual, however it is known that Amanda is described as a psychic powerhouse. And with the means to turn her into a catgirl the leader can then perform his ritual.Only thing is he needs to persuade her to do this and that statue would help.
Pains me to say it. But keeping the emerald out of the leaders hand sounds like the best option. Or I might run out of damsels to tie to railtracks and I surely would hate to lose such a classic move.
Right, where is my Longbow repellant spray we got a trn girl into cat artifact to secure. (Hmmm, sounds like an interesting thingamajing, wonders if it would work on the likes as Liberty Girl. I surely would like to see Statesman face when that happens. From a safe distance of course).
For the record, Grinning Spade is a self proclaimed Gentleman Adventurer. Longbow just calls him a dangerous lunatic who needs to be arrested soonest. -
Still pirates and ship somehow seem connected. Not sure why. So use the maps if the story commands it. Even if not everybody will like that part of the arc.
That said. I seriously hate every map where there is no proper mapping. Like the Ruined Atlas or the Eden trial maps. Finding something in one of those maps is a nightmare. -
I have read the files on this Maestro. So typical. I would not be in the least surprised if some of the escaped catgirls started to run amok uncontrolled.
And why turnijg all the ladies in town into catgirls? Sure I like a soft purring now and then, but arming them with sharp claws does not sound like a good idea. What is worse then a woman with PMS? Correct one with PMS and claws.
Right, first order of business now seem to be to find if somebody saw the kidnapping of Amanda and her cat. It would also be interesting to find out if these artifacts are located somewhere in our grasp. So we can steal erm, secure these. -
I applaud anything to give us a chance to make the browser more versatile. A shuffle button might help yes.

I must say that going to check out this Maestro of Mayhem person might be a good idea.
At the very least he should be able to tell us more about the Nekoian. I also wonder if there are some previous information about this Maestro. Come to think of it, a stupid name, what self respecting villain woulds call himself that? Beating him up a bit would be a fun diversion as well.
And who is Amanda here?
Might check those bones at a forensic lab. Are they indeed Nekoian and not human and are they 10000 year old? -

Rebuilding projects in an active Warzone is NOT a good idea. And RWZ is a very active Warzone. -
I just don't hope that the Dev's in their effort to stop farming makes live for us non farmers that much harder.

I am not happy about having two two hours maintenance windows today. Even if we get the booster pack after this one. They should have done it in the earlier one. Sloppy coordination perhaps?

As I see it, the level range of the arc should be fitting for the arc.
For example, when I am asked to do something about trolls from the nice police officer in the Hollows. Then fighting them at level 50 feels odd. It was a great story and the customs were well done but I can't see trolls as level 50 treats.
So yes I prefer to be exemplared down for that mission. What I do not like is when I keep switching all the time between one level and the other. Try to keep your arcs in the same level range please. -

Here is what I wrote earlier about this subject concerning the AE buildings on the Rogue Islands:

When I saw the new MA building I had to check it out. I had to check out how it fit in the places I love to roam about. The building itself and especially the interior is shiny and nice but does it belong in the neighborhood where they placed it?
I started my quest on the Rogue Islands. Beginning at the humble beginnings. Mercy Island.
A tower of hope, a beacon of light in the gloom and doom place we hate to like that is Mercy Island. It just doesn't fit in there. To big, to shiny, to much steel and glass. Not enough bricks. Frankly it is an eyesore. This is mercy island. No money is to be made here. It is place of despair where only the strong can survive. And strong means Arachnos in there. No way would Doctor Aeon ever get permission to build this beacon of hope there. For more then simple financial reasons I might ad. It should be inside an arachnos fortress there or in one of those derelict building. This won't do.
From there I went to Port Oakes. Where the family rules and shipping is the game.
Once more it didn't fit the landscape. But less obvious so then in Mercy. I would have preferred another less modern building here. One could argue about the location it is set in. But this is a place where money talks and when you pay the family you can do whatever you want.
Then to Cap au Diablo, headquarters of the Doctor himself.
What can I say. Wrong wrong wrong. The building is to wide to fit on the plaza. Its walls touch the raised plaza itself! Totally ruining the central plaza. Then it is to short and not majestic enough to fit in with the skyscrapers in there. The genius that is Dr Aeon surely could have come up with something that fits and is not less grandiose then its surroundings. This one demands a makeover.
Can Sharkhead be any better?
Short answer. Yes. Modern structures and derelict industrial places go well together. It symbolizes the atmosphere of dehumanization nicely. Two remarks though. What are those skidmarks doing outside the building? And why is it so shiny with all the smoke and fog outside? If the building textures could be less shiny then I would be reasonably happy.
On to Nerva.
A tall tower in a warzone, that will never work! And it doesn't. The drones keep zapping every passer by with reckless abandon. This one needs some rethinking. Especially as this is a place where a lot of hunting is happening. Of course the architecture doesn't fit in well with the more traditional style found in the place.
The crown jewels of St, Martial.
Aah St martial, where poverty goes hand to hand with glittering neon and the lure of fun. The most logical place for a grandiose building. Then why is the MA building so plain looking compared to the casino's? A missed opportunity here. We expect glitter and glamor here. Interesting thouch those 'wards' around the building. Shame that they block the passageway of the pedestrians. Needs some work imo.
Grandville.
I shuddered to think about how they would implement this in Grandville. But they didn't. I can breathe more easily now.
Rikti War Zone.
A gaming thing in another warzone. How strange can you get it? I was sure I would hate it. But I don't. Yes I still think it would have been better to make a room inside the Vanguard base. But the implementation ain't half bad. Nice touch those heavies and turrets instead of the police drones. Problem of course is that a building can't keep looking prisitine when it is under constant attack. If you want to keep it in there then you need to do something with the building textures.
Conclusions so far.
It is a shame that the developers didn't take the time to give the implementation of the buildings more thought. Especially when they did so with Wentworth/black market, the vault, abandoned labs, vanguard. I fail to see why they couldn't go that extra length to make a more villainous versions of their building. Something to remedy soonest I think! Especially in the worst place ever. Cap au Diablo.

I have also checked out the places of the AE buildings in Paragon City. They quickly removed em from Croatoa luckilyBut fro most city zones I find them acceptable. Although Kings Row and Brickstown.....

I liked the captain Dynamic series. But it is less funny now that farmers found how to farm missions. It also proves the need for a more diverse rating system.

Xemulas, thats a great offer. I know how much my arcs has been improved by several someone patiently telling me what was wrong with it language wise. I will gladly take you up on that offer when I got a new arc idea. In fact I am thinking about improving my current arcs a bit but I am afraid to end up with all sorts of English errors. So yes I would appreciate help there.
Of course, don't hesitate to warn me if errors still exist in my current arcs. Because no matter how much mistakes I removed, new ones seem to pop up every time someone plays it. Must be a Nemesis plot i tell you -

Plus, in a week time most people will have published their arcs and get tired of promoting them the way you describe slaz. I think this will be a passing problem. -
Btw. I still have to receive a single comment to my arcs for those moments I was offline or from an oversees person for that matter.
