  1. Can anyone rid me of that troublesome N00b?
  2. Sad to see you go.

But television pilot? Care to enlighten us?
  3. Sounds like an awesome idea.

I would love to see a poster about "Love Spurned"
    Arc Id: 1934

A silly love story about Pockets D most desperate bachelor and the females he tries to seduce.

I see the poster with the contact on the left and on the right in their different cossies. Both forming one side of a broken heart. In the middle topside (above the heart) a close up of The One True Love in one of those evil Laughters.

How about putting a sensible cap on xp per hour game wide?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    [ QUOTE ]
That gets an even bigger no.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Why?

    [/ QUOTE ]

It completely flies in the face of risk vs. reward to have any kind of flat cap. As someone posted above, there are very difficult arcs in the MA that net you a lot of XP - and rightly so. If you put the effort in, you should get the rewards, and a cap ruins that.

The issue isn't people getting a lot of XP, it's people getting a lot of XP for very minimal effort. Again, the issue is that the risk vs. reward is completely out of whack. That's what people want fixed - so a cap is very counter-productive. You're just breaking it in a different way.

Edit: Oh, and also, who is going to judge what constitutes a "sensible" amount?

    [/ QUOTE ]

There is no RISK in farming. There, for by your account the xp should be zero.

Sensible amount? How about what you can earn in a normal 8 member team doing varied missions per hour set at mid level difficulty? Still fast, but hitting lvl 50 in 6 hours should be a bit harder.
  5. Ok, how about this idea draconian idea.

Limit the amount of xp/inf/salvage/tickets/merits/recipes a person can earn per hour of play.

Then after that limit has been reached you will earn less and less and less until you earn zero. Sort of the cooldown feature WoW uses/used? Of course, this limit should be such that players wont be affected who play a normal gamestyle. Including teaming and doing a tf.

Of course, farmers will jump to another toon and start again. But it will slow powerlevelling a bit.

You could go a step further with making this amount server wide or even account wide.

Same with this. You can't patch enough to make them stop. They ALWAYS find new holes to exploit. The patches only hurt the good players, not the bad.

    [/ QUOTE ]

So your suggestion is to leave the MA as is and let people level like mad from 1 to 50 in a day if they want to?

PS: Don't know what kind of game you're running in your table top group, but when I have a player like that in a game I'm running, I keep changing the rules he abuses, if a rule is broken, fix it, that's your damn job as the GM. If he doesn't like it, get a different player.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Problem is that when you try to plug every hole, you will hurt the normal players. The only way to stop these types is to completely remove the competitive thing from the game. Which would make the game rather boring.
  7. Happy Cakeday Mother Love. I hope you keep watching the little ones. They need it more then ever now.

Give a kid a pencil, he will draw you a nice picture. Give a convict a pencil, he will kill his inmates.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I got a 'convict' like that in my tabletop group. He WILL find the exploiting rules in no time AND start using them ti earnest. No matter how hard we try to press him to use the pencil for drawing. He keeps saying that as it has a point, it is made to kill. The drawing is optional.

Same with this. You can't patch enough to make them stop. They ALWAYS find new holes to exploit. The patches only hurt the good players, not the bad.
  9. Welcome back and I hope your recovery will be a good one. It sounds like a horrible disease you had.

Bah, I already can do mine. Our flag is a bit boring but everyone knows who the idiots are dressed in orange at international sport events.

Of course they should give us wooden shoes for the feet and windmills/tulips for a chestdetail.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Wait a minute...you're Dutch?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Geboren en getogen in dat mooie land zelfs. Nu we toch bezig zijn met requests:

Volendamse kledij Volendamer Clothing and the friendly people wearing it. And yes in that place this would represent the average Dutch, as most are tourists dying to dress up
  11. The worst thing is that new players get sucked into this and thus missing out on the real content. Thinking what, no endgame? And leave.
  12. Bah, I already can do mine. Our flag is a bit boring but everyone knows who the idiots are dressed in orange at international sport events.

  13. Flux should be in his corner yes.
  14. I want a merge with the US servers. Normal merge won't help enough. Most people play on both servers anyway.
  15. It would help enormously if this was enabled. /signed.
  16. Let me add my wellwishes to this growing list.

Shame you had to go like this. Hope you will find a new job soon.
  17. Sorry to see you go Phantom. I think You DID contribute a lot of things to the forum. It made you some enemies but you also gained goodwill. I appreciated the things you wrote.

IMO WW should have been answering most of the questions rather than Posi (Well from what I heard anyway, damn computer wouldn't let me get onto Test)

    [/ QUOTE ]

Don't believe all you hear from the Q and A session - Positron wasn't behaving badly the way some people say he was

    [/ QUOTE ]

Entirely correct. He tried to answer a lot of questions as good as he could without going into discussions. I think he did well considering the amount of questions he got asked.
  19. You should have seen their faces when I entered the building and yelled. YOU ARE ALL UNDER ARREST!!!!!

Now that was a fun thing to do. Went in, arrested another bunch of catgirls. Including Black Cat Neko. The poor thing was hypnotized or something to act as if she was the grand leader. I suggest a nice padded cell so cannot hurt herself.

As for the evil wicked mastermind. Seems he had always wanted to become a catperson himself. Can't blame him, he look much better this way. He/She tried to act funny though, as if she was brainwashed. Well I didn't fall for her bad acting and neither should you. I know everything about mad genius types. If you met Verner or Doctor Aeon well you learn a lot about madness that way. It is hard to be a genius like me and not go mad. You need willpower for that.

So trust me when I say that he is faking it. Right, lets discuss fee here.

Yeah yeah, you are welcome, no, no, no, thanks needed just give me the cash.

What do you mean, no cash?

    You gotta be kidding.

Heroism does not pay, that's for sure. Oh well gotta run.

(with that Grinning Spade makes a bow and walk away. Out of his pocket falls a piece of paper. Something about a plan for a spell to turn cats into amazon warrior woman dedicated to please their summoner)

  20. A touching piece of arc there. A few pictures here say more then a thousand words. I was touched by it.

    - I remember coming in over the weekend so I could build all those atmospheric spawns for Pocket D and researching all those TERRIBLE one-liners!

    [/ QUOTE ]

It was nice to meet you in Pocket D WW. Also thanks for visiting us on our beloved forum.

Ps. You will be pleased to know that I for one appreciate those Pocket D one-liners.

Warning, {plug]: I used two of those atmospheric individuals as inspiration for one of my arcs. Dare I say it? You could check out for yourself if you find the time in Love Spurned ID: 1934. (And no, you are NOT in it don't worry) [/plug]

And whatever you do, don't be a stranger here. We love to have Dev's pay us a visit now and then.
  22. Mini review

    Heart of Stone ID: 25250
An arc aimed for the villains and set in Port Oakes. It got Family, Mooks, Arachnos, Legacy, a contact eager to pay a lot of money for your work and a statue. Bocor got an of screen Cameo as well. It was a nice arc to play. Engaging story, some backstabbing and a touch of mythology.

One warning though. Even at villainous, you can encounter an EB. Luckily that fight is optional. Although I am pleased to say that I managed to bring that EB down.
  23. I will check it out as well. Mine never got more then 1 untested mission with horrible english

It was about being a hero low on money and needing a job for nothing other then a Birthday Cake delivery service with a Song and Smile. What the bleep. I will publish the horrible thing when i return and leave it published exactly long enough that you can see the concept and comment on the idea alone. After that it will be deleted.
  24. I am Gunbunny but known on the boards as Grinning Spade (He was so handsome and dashing when i created him and so outpsoken that I made him my spokesperson. Plus he threatened to tie me up to that nearby deserted railway track like the mustache twirling villain he is, sans the mustache ).

I am playing this game almost 5 years now and although and for me I-14 was a very good thing. I love playing with the MA. It is a whole new game out there with the added benefit that the game I loved and played is still there. I-15, will improve the MA a lot so I am not unhappy with it.

I have no plans of leaving this game just yet.
