  1. This is truly worthy of the good old fashioned (for youngsters anyway) ROFLMAO.

And now if you excuse it is time to find my bowels again.
  2. If you like Sewer Teams, Then Perez Park, Boomtown, Dark Astoria, Crey Folley and Eden should be good fun as well. All hazard zones designed for teams to 'farm'.

I think Golden Girl is right here. They do not dislike farmers but not with the AE and not with bombarding newbies with spam.
  3. Is there anybody who will accept that poor lonesome boy and that other one to? We can't have n00bs run around unattended.

I am a badge collector and GR could help me do many others villan badges... This would be good.
Mornings are hardly prime time of course even if it is a Sunday morning. I must have been one of the other 30 villains out there. But granted, I always am shocked when I team red side. 99% of the time I solo and that is not because I like to refuse teaming. Red Side = City of Solo villainy and has been so for quite a while to.

I renewed today for COX 6 +1 months (because i love this game) but not buy GR.

post scriptum: sorry for my bad English
It is not THAT bad on Union. In the evenings you can find more then 100 people blue side. Red side is a bit lower of course.

Nontheless, I am not certain if I will buy GR precisely for the reason that the servers definitely feel empty and I am reluctant to invest more in this game. A merger with the US servers would cure this queasiness. Of course I am not holding my breath here.
  6. I could not agree more. The solution is elegant and it would solve all of the problems Memphis Bill mentioned and many of us have experienced ourselves, myself included.

    New Dev Choices?

For all intents and purposes, Dev's choice is a dead concept. IMO, there should be a minimum of at least 1 new dev choice each month. Minimum.

If the Devs aren't willing to spend a little time to support the concept, I think they should just drop it completely and remove existing dev's choice designations.
I am affraid I have to agree with you. Better remove the category all together rather then let it rot away half finished. Another great concept abandoned. Like SG Raids, Arena, custom piece recipes, zones that are left abandoned, Dev story content, Billboards with commercials, Brighton etc.
  8. You could have warned us. You could have said that this is an arc not suited for the intellectually challenged. Not suited to play when you are drunk, stoned, sleepy or dead. And not playing it with a superadine addicted former Troll who while enthusiastic was a very confused girl at the start, midway and end of the arc. She showed me the souvenir and claimed that she had a great destiny ahead of her. Then she dropped out stoned cold as she had found a new stash of superadine somewhere in the arc and had to taste it.

Oh boy, as if she wasn't enough trouble to begin with. You try telling a green hulking girl who can wring your neck when she gets angry, that she should not pay attention what mysterious timekeepers tell her.

This arc is seriously complicated and you have to pay attention to the clues to even try to understand what and why things are happening. I think I got it, well some parts of it anyway. Thrown in for good measure are some other clueless persons who also seem to have stumbled into this nightmare thing, makes you feel less lost actually.

Its got clever dialogue (even with explanations what is going on for the dumbfounded of us), engaging enemies from various fractions with special attention to the swat equalizer who you learn to hate anew, unique maps (never saw the last one before), lots of special attention in descriptions, clues and extras. Absolutely not recommended for teams as they will miss half of the goodness.
  9. The first kill all seemed indeed logical and it was only the map itself that makes it hard to catch them all.

With the last mission, it is just a matter of mopping up. You could even assume that the pirates return to the bottle willingly after their captain is captured. Only problem then is that you miss out on the side joke. Which is funny of course but is separate from the story. Maybe you can mention a disturbing sound that you think you need to investigate. Or you could explain the whole surprise thing in a clue and don't mention it in the debriefing in the end.

  11. With a name like this arc I was not expecting much to be honest. But since it was Pirates Day, I donned my wooden pegleg and hook and talked to contact.

The contact was not any informer, hero, police officer or city official but a carnival member. Who had an interesting spiel why I as a hero (hahaha fooled her) would not want to arrest her but help her out with a problem. The dialogue was excellently written and the contact was believable. The story had some nice plot twists and enough different opponents to make this arc feel fresh every mission. It had nice clues, short descriptions for the custom mobs and key characters. Only gripe was the use of defeat all's in not huge but tricky maps. Took me awhile to got them all.

And it brought me a nice souvenir, shame if some evil villain got his hands on that! Oh wait, I am an evil villain and I surely can find a good use for that one. Hahaha, tricked the trickster here. Foolish Carnival thinking they could outwit me!

Now if, hmm what is this? Made in Hong Kong? What it is a cheap copy.

Curses, Foiled Again. I mean: Arrrr shiver me timbers!!! I'll shake their bones!
  12. I tried your arc but after half an hour fruitless searching for those survivors I gave up. This is my least favorite map and having captives that are not easily spotted does not help a bit. Normally when I see that map, I quit the mission.

Another thing it seemed to miss was background material and the clue with the first survivor I rescued did not help much. Of course I didn't get far so I could have missed what has happened there except that people are protesting, the guards are politely driving protesters away and that a shapeshifting person is the top dog of the place. Of course that is crazy talk.

I noticed one tiny error though. I had to rescue 2 2 survivors. Not 2 survivors.

    Pirates!

Better dust of my pirate costume then. Good thing I made one to fit with the badge.

Arrr LAndlubbers, prepare to be boarded.
  14. Going to be date my Avatar then. Should be interesting. Hardest part is not to be predictable. After all ,dating an avatar of the correct gender is like Terry Pratchet's Dwarves problems with finding a mate.

Today is an exception luckily. I expect that next week server downtime will be at their normal time.
  17. May I suggest Sals Badgehunter channel for all your Badge hunting requests? Done quite a few hunts to get some of the harder to reach badges. Also a good place to start on TF's.

    Boys and girls

Most of mine are female. Except the one for my Forum Handle. Which was more a thing of he seemed like a good spokesperson at the time (I was in a rp mood then).

    Servers Down?

Inconvenient timing but that's the problem when you have to synchronize things worldwide. Can't please us all. At least we will get cossie change tickets. That's handy with This power spectrum tailoring we are doing.

Well hear hear for the unsung heroine who made this happen. It revitalizes some old content for me. Perhaps I should have played more with issue 15
  21. Nice Video again! Glad you decided to make a few more. With luck and abit of cooperation from the music industry your next one can be launched before GR or I-17 hits!
  22. Welcome to the forums, don't be a stranger!

    Consider my back patted.
  23. Yesterday, doing a few Radio missions I was suddenly assaulted by arachnos goons. First time I am ambushed during a Radio mission!

Running through Bloody Bay I spotted the Banished having an 'ambush' where attacking a single zombie suddenly spawns some friends out of the earth.

Fighting Vazhiloks, I see a single reaper with a few cadavers lying at his feet. Spotting me, they rise and attack.

Last night fighting some Lost. I saw a few of them begging for scraps from their brethren with the panhandling emote!

So, did I miss something last issue (most likely as I either was checking out story-arcs in the AE or doing TF's) or did they really improve a few small things like giving more emote options for our opponents?

    Either way, I approve!

Could be worse. You could have been forced to fly oversees to get one of these codes. Being from the EU without any Convention where NC Soft will show up, I can't help feel a bit miffed.

But, they do look nice and that is good news for us all. Can't wait for GR coming.
