Just merge the sodding server lists and get it over with.
    ^^This.

    And erm Damz

About the weather however. Not that interesting for me to know what the weather is in the UK as I am not from that place. The EU is a tad bigger then your little Island
  2. Lets say that I am definitely not pleased with this change in schedule. One of the reasons we got our own server park is that we can adhere to normal European times instead of being forced to compromise with American times. This is not something I can consider good service.

And yes, this is affecting me greatly enough to care.

Hmm strange, perhaps a bug that got into it in i-16. I will check it out and send you an email when I find out what was going on. Shame that I will be afk this weekend though.

    Can MA be saved?

We are past the fad now. Past the exploitation as well. I expect that the people who like to play new content and people who like to be creative will slowly return to the AE.

Good xp is one thing, but I care more about new and interesting stories and I am not the only one. Maybe in time it will grow popular again for the proper reasons. One thing that might help is when we create some 'eventlike' things we can do with the AE and then promote it of course.

Like a few Halloween themed arcs next month.
  5. They are not back yet until we see them in the newspaper missions and some of the normal missions.

    Done.

And yes, I found one of your arc that I was not familiar with. Good fun to.
  7. Ok retry, then as this arc is intended to be humorous.

Love spurned 1934 Can you help out a desperate guy?
Hanging out in Pocket D can become hazardous, you never know when a desperate guy (one of my favorite NPC's over there) spots you and request your help. This was supposed to be your evening of.

Warning, this arc comes with the WORST custom costumes possible. You have been warned, mental health can be in jeopardy here.
  8. Hmm, how about a not so romantic RomCom? Perhaps a bit to much comedy for this arc but I leave that to your discretion

And about your arcs, sounds familiar, done that one before. Hmmm got one that does not rign a bell, will give it a try.
  9. Must say that I agree with the OP here. Was in a team with 6 defenders (worked real well to) and the combinations of colored effects was a bit oddish to say it mildly.

I will stick more closely to the original colors chemes unless the costume really screams make me bright pink! To those of you who will team with Pink Magician, my apologies. It WILL hurt your eyes.
  10. Had to abandon Manti TF thanks to this bug. Luckily it was the first mission so nothing much was lost but imagine it being one of the last in a tf.

Also a good idea. That and the search icon would make life more easy for everybody to include our visitors in our midst.
  12. Played one lately, was called the roaring tomorrow or something similar. Villainous as well. I don't know the ID sorry.

Exactly what I did. I managed to get into a sewer team that way. A very good sewer team I might add. Got me to level 10 with raptor

That is a good idea. Because having experienced how lonely you can feel, I am more eager to help those trial players at my home server.

True Coming Storm, but there are also unofficial RP servers is it not? Where everybody who likes to RP come together.

If everyone who is eager and willing to team go to the "unofficial past midnight server" then they could easily find a fun night of playtime. When they sit on their home server, they will just grow bored and restless. And that is not helping anybody at all. We are all here to have fun, if that means that during slow hours we all should flock together so be it.

While he was under the trial rules, we discussed exactly what you speak of here, GS.

I can see this being a very rough experience for anyone without existing contacts within the game community trying it out for the first time.

Not only are there the trial limitations, the game itself has a huge learning curve.
One thing that drives me mad is that popup in the midst of your screen. The limitations of a trial account are not always clear either. Sometimes it is not obvious if an action is prohibited because I am on a trial or for another reason. The AE is one such example.

Hah, but when I appear you have a place for poor little Grinny right? Even without DO's I am sure I can spit the enemy wicked into the eye and call him names and then be grateful to get a wakie

And thanks for the info, I must check out Virtue next.
  18. Was on Triumph tonight red side and indeed the lowest amount of players was 14. At the same time Freedom was in the 100's. For everybody forced to play outside the peak times, considering a move towards the most heavily populated server would be a smart thing.

Or perhaps just start a few new AT's to play there during the night. Then when your own server awakes go back.
  19. I decided to check out the other side on the pond, created a trial account to check out if the grass is really greener over there.

First, I went to Freedom, since it should be the heaviest populated server. Populated it was. 600+ users visible. 600! Here I am thinking that 200+ users is loads on my home server on the euro side. And this on a Monday sigh. I was in heaven, getting a team here would be easy.

I made sure that I stated please invite me blindly as my search tag. Let the pugging begin!

Ahem, hello? Looking for a pug here, any pug? pretty please? No, no, don't tell me to react to your broadcast, just invite me.

    waiting.

gaining a few levels just hunting. Then going to Kings Row and get myself a raptor.

More waiting and realizing that by now, I could have been chatting on my favorite chatchannels, getting into a tf or joking around in broadcast when somebody is asking a question or behaves foolishly.

It is hard to communicate when you only have the limited range of local and teaming. It is hard to respond to calls and shouts. In fact, it felt lonely.

If not for one person nice enough to help me get a team together and another for inviting me into a pug this would not have been an experience I would relish.

The limits the trial accounts face, while necessary, are pretty tough. Of course a first time player will be overwhelmed with the question what to do and it was never designed for a vet like me. But being a vet doing a trial I realize that we should take care of the visitors to this place. make them feel welcomed and at home.

Because, when you can't speak, this game is a lonely place.

Well I am going out now, and kick Lt Belchy in the (well you know where) for all these years of fooling me.

He had a bad habit of jumping out of nowhere! *MEZ!* *DEAD!* omg awful, lol.

I was reduced to going outside and begging for help in Broadcast. Several kind +2s and +3s came in and killed him for me, or I would have been stuck forever.

It takes guts to make an admission like that

Nowadays things have changed; Blechly is the Judgement Day that determines the fate of a new character. If the newbie can solo Blechly, he or she is a keeper. Allow me to suggest that you not Fear The Reaper, even though yeah... the rumors about the Council Vampyre are true, and then some! Learn to beat him down. He's good practice for other horrid things you will face solo later on. Big hint: DO NOT let him take you by surprise.
    Lol

Uhm, and here I was assuming that you need 4 villains to do something like simultaneously clicking glowies as is needed in some arcs. I only done this one once and had forgotten how it actually worked and when I read the intro on another lowbie I was leveling I was filling in the details.

Right, nothing here. You have not seen me. I was never there. That was not me but Grlnnlng Spade.

    Doh, doh, doh.

I go now to a quiet corner and feel very noobish ty.
  22. Take out the Council's Vampyr from Angelo Vendetti needs to be redone. As it is now, you need 4 villains to complete this mission. Teaming in Red zone is pretty hard anyway so you are forced to drop this mission when you get it. Or hope to find some friends later en enough numbers to clear this mission from your tray.

As it is only 1 of the 3 possible level 5-9 contacts it is more of a shame to lose an arc due to a design that is no longer feasible.

    New Dev Choices?

MrCaptainman, of course it is better for the Dev's to work on new issues/content then going through 100000+ arcs. The problem is that they anounced they would do so. Thus resulting in another half finished unsupported product like they have done before and will do in the future.

We get hyped up on a new fun sounding idea, a lot of effort is put into making that idea workable until they gt another crazy funsounding idea. It feels to me as if I am eating a cake that has been lovingly made, put into the oven, but gets no further then being halfbaked.

    This.

Singstar hit the nail on the head, I got the same feelings here. Slowly, I am learning to appreciate some of the others. But it is a long way before i am as comfortable as I was on the old forum.
