    "Zonekicking"

I wonder if an optional exemplaring will ever be used. Most of the hazard zones are never used for their original purpose. Namely getting xp in hunt teams. With the only exception being the sewers run.

During a bug where you could not enter a mission i made my team get into boomtown to earn some xp. Most of my team never had been there or even knew that you could form hunting teams like that. It was fun, but we all agreed, doing missions was better.

Some of those actually help the teaming thing like super SK. A lot is useless but does not harm the lets call it "core of the game".

Do you ask for the star? Do you ask for them to do your missions, or do regular missions? Do you make your own teams?
Yes and yes I do. Though to be honest, I am enoying the novelty of shouting LFT and getting a team.

I have to admit, though, I have no idea where you're finding these just-radio-mission teams. The PuGs I end up with tend to be doing regular missions, unless we're JUST starting a level range (usually pre-20) and people want their travel power and rez.

Last thing we'd need is another type of inspiration. Especially switching from what we have now in the same place. Arena-only powers were confusing to several people (at a 10k cost each, mind you) when they came out, and I still on occasion see them bite someone.[/quote]
    That confused me as well
    Ok. No special inspirations then.

Good point there. But do you have trouble now getting inspirations form all the sources we have available these days?

That is an idea I like to make an SG base of more use.

    Get rid of rep

    Rep BeGonne.

It only tells us who is popular and who is not. I prefer to form my own opinions and consider the rep system to be useless and more a griefing tool then anything useful.

Set the trams back so they're only going to one zone at a time, and you have to ride around until you get to the specific zone you want.
Remove all the costume options but tights. Just one outfit, and you can pick the color you like.
Which of course, means we can remove the other costume slots, as well.
Remove all the markers from the map. People can "discover" stores on their own.
Remove SG bases in their entirety. The real point of them was for PVP raids, after all, and they don't exist. Right now, they're nothing but a big QOL feature until you have to pay rent, in which case it's inconvenient.
Remove the mission teleporter, black market teleporter (since we'll remove consignment houses anyway,) and the like.
Remove the jetpacks from Grandville and the Shard.
    Remove SSKing.
    Put hazard zone levels back.
    Remove globals.
Get rid of the new email filters.
Dump power and weapon customization. They don't do anything, it's purely QOL eye candy.
Get rid of mission markers on the map.
Get rid of simultaneous mission completion.
Add the "Must click multiple glowies" back.
Remove the ability to set the difficulty of your missions.
    Remove the mission drop feature.
    Remove dual builds.
Remove automatic exemplaring to the top level of a task force if you're overlevel - make sure you have an EX and that they don't get DC'd.
Remove the ability to combine enhancements.

All these, and more, are just as useless, QOL features. Would you like to remove them all as well? There's a long, LONG list of purely QOL features that have been added to the game. How much do you want to remove?
Nice list. Within it a few sad cases of almost not supported content like superbases and raids.

What would I like to remove from the above? Nothing.

But we are not discussing those changes. Heck, I know that I will like the convenience of buying inspirations at hospitals. I am as lazy as anybody else. What I do NOT like is that 90% of the teams I have been in, are only doing Radio missions. Simple because they are so much more convenient then the awkward running around with normal missions. I am against solutions that will make playing normal contacts content even less important. Being able to buy insps at every hospital is one such thing I fear will make normal content less important.

Should they remove insp from the AE building then? This would be better for the original content but would hurt the AE-content a lot. Maybe insp that only work in the AE are a solution here.
  7. The best thing about judging is that the voting part is made easier because I have played each and every one of the nominee's in this category.

I was looking for arcs that have a nice story, good detailing adn most important of all: One you can play with a fresh faced hero or villain from level 1 and up, without any enhancements whatsoever. For me, these two are the best:

    1. Mercytown, the one with the fish #6017 @Tangler
    2. Day Job Hell: A Villain’s First Day Job, # 322480 @Clave Dark 5

A special note on 15+ Minute Tutorial - Knowledge is Power: Architect Entertainment #28470 @Paula. If there had been a category best Tutorials. This one would have had my vote!
  8. A villain lowbie arc? Right, one more om my to do list. I will be back on this.
  9. They are all on my to do list. Busy now with helping to judge the nominees of our forum best of.

And there you said it. It is not necessary.

On a different subject. I would not mind if the AE buildings disappear from half the zones. I love doing AE missions, but I fail to see why there should be a building in every zone. But lets not digress about that
    .
  11. This is a laziness I can approve of.

Talk to them once, get phonenumber, done.

You're making a lot of assumptions there. And as far as not needed... neither is a base, with rez ring and insp dispenser (which starts out with JUST CABs and health) so...

The OP's request was one of convenience. Nothing wrong with that. (And again - some of those same contacts are direclty IN or By a hospital, as I listed.)
There are a lot of other options to get inspirations as you can see in the posts above. I am against this so called QoL thing because it is unnecessary and it is one more 'convenient lets ignore the content' thing. You have to be careful with those.

For example, radio missions killed of the normal mission/vcontact and hunt play. Ourobouros, made traveling with boats or train a thing of the past. it also made itvery easy to skip content until it is convenient for you to do so. And everybody knows what AE did.

So, I am not in favor of more convenient ways to circumvent existing content.

    No

Why not? First of there are the contacts you can ask for inspirations. Just a small reason perhaps to not only do radio missions.

Secondly, bases can have hospitals and stores for inspirations. They can even have a hosptial upgrade where you can create inspirations. They also have workbenches where you can create buffs.

In other words, its not needed.

Well, not everybody got such a powerhouse as you are. Extreme custom mobs should be used very very sparingly if at all. Unless you make an arc to challenge uber min-maxed 1.000.000.000.000 inf worth at's.

Done these two and while I was underwhelomed by the Quest, the Awesome arc by Roosterteeth made me smile. If you liked the Captain Dynamic Videos then its likely you will find this one amusing. If you didn't, then do not bother playing this arc as it is build upon what they created in those videos.

It is obvious that the authors are new to the Architect system and that they are not yet able to use it to its fullest potentional even with the help of Dr Aeon. Both arc suffered from the extreme custom mobs syndrome. My scrapper got defeated a few times by -2 minions and lt's. I know, invulnerable is a rubbish powerset but that rubbish?

If that is the case, it is about us EU types as well. Maintenance at 1300-1500 on weekdays is not the best time.

Still the tp out powers do not suffer from any of these problems. So I consider this a small QoL thing.

  18. Shocked and awed is the word. Absolutely stunning. Steelclaw you are totally nuts. I cannot even begin to imagine how much effort that took. WoW.
  19. I played adventures of space marines 1.

Or at least I think I did as it was not one of the numbers you mention in your thread. But it had your name on it, so I assumed it was yours.

I am sorry to say that I did not like it much. The dialogue were a bit shortish and the lack of details in clues etc made following the story harder then needed. Let me dissect it per mission.

Mission 1 was great. A small briefing, an emergency and a horde of space marines to follow you around until you hit the monster. A nice little things happening on your first day thing. I liked the pop up with the real mission and the clue halfway. Fun and original.

Mission 2 is were things go wrong. A defeat all in an annoying map where finding everybody is a bit challenging. Plus an NPC who is not needed to defeat them. Big problem was of disbelief. The map used is not a spaceport. It is not the right map for the mission. Only reason I could think about was that this was the spaceport after extensive bombardment but the text tells me nothing. Even a pop up could help out here. Another thing is that there is not much variety in the enemies. Drone MM's and bigger Drone MM's. Of course with 4 fractions around, I understand that you don't have much choice here.

Mission 3 is another annoying map where I pick up two npc's that are once more not needed for the mission. Perhaps you can make picking them up optional? The custom group here being bugs. Not much variety in them either.

In Mission 4 the plot thickens and insect appear in another big map where the freedom fighters are supposed to be. Eventually miss bad insect spawns and after tunning all over the map twice I find her. She proved a tough opponent and this time the npc's helped me out nicely.

In Mission 5 we assault the fort or palace or something. Its a dump. No idea why you used that map to be honest. I cannot see why a tyrant would use a derelict building to dwell in. Perhaps there is a good reason for that but you did not mention it anywhere in the text. Maybe she had fled to a remote halfbuild fortification after the palace burned down? I got my NPC and started to fight the queen. Unless she suddenly spawned loads of npc's with end draining powers. Even as SS/WP brute I went down in moments.

Right then, I was unwilling to go back in. To big a map, to annoying the npc's. So I quit the arc.

Sorry to be be so critical about this, but I think that your arc could use a bit more decorating. I also like to advise you to check out some sides about marine talk. I am no expert, but the lady's 'marinese' did not sound right.
  20. Welcome back. Most exciting news perhaps is that the Halloween event has some new things for us to do.
  21. Not sure if this one is listed already.

Just started leveling a MM thugs/dark. I encounter two major bugs.

    1. When zoning, my thugs like to 'zone' out. Following me around but not being there. Like one of those non combat pets. Problem isthat you cannot unsummon them either.

    2. When I level, especially while in the midst of a combat, my thugs suddenly drop dead. Causing all kind of fun as you can imagine. Like having to spend the next 5 minutes without any pets while you wait for the summon power to recharge or getting more points for my debt badge.

Two very annoying and imo problematic bugs that I like to be remedied asap.
  22. Nice persons do exist. Someone helped me out and lend me 450k, so I could sell a very expensive recipe. I got double what I was expecting too and got 20 mil out of that recipe, ending any inf problems I had on that toon until the time comes to go IO (which is soon, considering the fact that i am past 40 now in less then two weeks). All he wanted in return was the original 450k and even that only because I insisted.
  23. Well double xp weekend over and it is time again to continue with trolly's quest to become a level 50. So, who likes our little trollmaiden rumpage thorugh your arc?

    Is your arc Troll Proof?

(Don't hesitate to give her heroic arcs, I decided to include those as well)
  24. For flight, go to the shards or Grandville and buy a raptor pack. Only 10000 inf for two hours of flight.

Other then that, I would like to buy new temps. Most urgently now a chainsaw and shotgun for use during Halloween only of course.
  25. I like this idea, maybe it will make people play less Radio missions as well.

    I approve.
