  1. Anyone know how I can make MIDS render at a bigger size on my screen?

I push my PC to my native 1080p SONY 54" TV -- and at that resoluton, sitting 10 feet from the screen, MIDS is basically impossible to read. I've tried 2-column, 3-column etc. layouts but none of that really changes the size of all the graphics. I need the graphics to render a lot bigger.

    Thoughts?
  2. Granite Agent

    Kinetic Melee?

What's the optimal KM chain for DPS, and what recharge is needed?

Also what is typical slotting on Power Siphon - 6-slot Gaussian?
  3. Any advice on how to reach the higher recharge / DPS chan of GC - GD - GC - SD would be great. Like how much recharge, globally and in each, would be needed.
  4. Here's a data chunk the new mids can read. Actually looks like more or less E/N/F/C was soft-capped, with M/L capped using DA. Around 675% regen. Problem appears to be low recharge <50% which is forcing the lower DPS chain for Kat. Also in I-19 prob can fit in Assault for some damage.

  5. So I dusted off my old Kat/WP the other day and went for a Pylon run. Didn't have it down to half-health by the 6 minute mark, so got me thinking it could be time to throw the build up on the Boards for some Scraptastic input.

I think this was an I-17 build. The goal was to be soft-capped to E/N, plus have parry to bring up S/L to soft-cap. It also had pretty slick regen back then. But I'm guessing it's pretty out of date in light of I-19, changes to fitness, alpha slot, etc.

Help me make it more of a death machine!! (Did a bunch of board searching but had trouble finding a killer Kat/WP updated build -- I don't think the board likes searches on "Kat/WP").

  8. FWIW here is my Claws/SR, soft-capped w/o Weave. Thank to Iggy and Jak for helping out.

Hey, I never said it was a great or unique concept.
That's an extremely cool looking costume. What parts did you use for the head?
  12. yes, it's set to 1920 x 1080 for sure .

i think maybe the aspect ratio is throwing things off?

i can improve the picture by in-game raising the UI scaling, but it only goes up to like 1024 x512 or something

when i try setting the launcher to launch windowed at 1920 x 1080, it still opens the game bigger than the screen

    any other thoughts?
  13. Hi guys -

Just loaded COH onto a new Dell XPS 16 laptop with native 1920x1080 on a 16:9 screen.

However, whenever I set the ingame resolution to 1920x1080, when I next launch the game, the screen is so big that I can't even see the login/password boxes.

I keep having to force a windowed 1024x768 resolution using the launcher in order to see anything, and the graphics quality looks poor (this new rig has a Radeon 5770 or some other higher end card).

How do I get the resolution set right in game?

Are you running +0 or +1, or higher?
  15. Anyone been able to soft-cap MA/SD in a way that gives enough +rchrg to run the SK-CS-SK-CAK chain? I tried the other night and couldn't do it in MIDS.

  22. What I also liked about Silverado's build was the inclusion of Acrobatics, which I always forget about ... it's a nice attempt to plug the mez hole that even S/L soft cap leaves (though it requires some spare slots).

I like nuking with Inferno and often find DP gives me enough endo to keep trucking. I get the "enough AOE already" argument, but I still squee like a schoolgirl on teams after Fulcrum + Inferno

I think what makes the Villain PPP so good is the inclusion of Web Envelope which is a targeted AOE immob -- it just synergizes so well with Rain of Fire, that taking the Sleep / Frozen Armor route seems like you're missing out (IMHO).
  23. @Silverado, nice ideas in your build (like WOC with dmg IOs) - thanks.

I see you and some other folks keep skipping Inferno -- with a lot of global recharge it appears to be up every 100 seconds or so, and often Drain Psyche can let you avoid the crash. Why skip it?

I like your ST chain and may reslot Blaze etc. for that.

    Thanks Guys!
  24. I messed around with this last night for a while and had trouble both achieving the soft-cap and then also having enough recharge to run the SK-CS-SK-CAK chain. Need better MIDS folks than me. Note I was also 2-slotting Active Defense with Hamios for the DDR buff, and taking Grant Cover for the same reason.

Thanks San. That's pretty cool. Do you think it's worth slotting up Flares like that, esp with Apocalypse? Would it be better to swap out Flares (take Fire Blast first) and try to fit in WoC later (with purples)?

Or alternatively -- Fire Blast, Subdual, Mind Probe (hard hitting melee, slot Hecatomb), Fire Ball.
