It's surely not your decision if someone should play AE or not or how fast they reach level 50!
[/ QUOTE ]
No, but it surely is the decision of the developers who have clearly stated they are keeping a close eye on AE created farms and exploits. You go right on PLing your toons to 50 in under 20 hours though. We'll all be smiling when they get locked or rolled back on your account.
And in case you haven't realized yet, those "speed-to-50" farms and exploits are going to get AE nerfed hard, so your actions do affect everyone.
[/ QUOTE ]
They obviously have not been watching them that hard. The mito farms have been around now over a week. It is obviously a major design oversight that needs to be taken care of but they sure are dragging their feet about it. One would even think this would be such a major bug that they would shut AE down until it is fixed. -
[ QUOTE ]
I have a quick suggestion to solve the problem of brand new people getting characters to lvl 50 and not knowing how to play the game - make MA only available to people who already have a level 50 character (like the epic ATs). That way new people coming to the game have to play the game before farming their way to lvl 50.
What do you all think?
[/ QUOTE ]
What do we do about the people who got to 50 the traditional way and have been playing since beta and suck? -
Architect channel would work so then the channel would not be left to the whim of some mod that does not know their [censored] from a hole in the ground.

I miss Solos posting his greatest RP moments. I wish I saved some of the screenshots.

They don't need a HQ, they just stand around in the zones day in and day out training people. Hell, they don't even move when the Rikti and Zombies attack.

I can't understand why the AE building in thr RWZ goes virtually unused, but let's change that. Seeing as it is the only CoOp AE building in the game, I vote that everyone interested in doing AE stuff that is lvl 35+, goto RWZ from now on. Doesn't matter if you farm or wanna run real arcs, you'll have twice as many folks to form a team with VEATs and only 35+ people so no useless lowbies begging to door sit. Just a thought.
[/ QUOTE ]
Twice as many people? C'mon, we all know there aren't that many people playing villains. -
With all that buff/debuff I would be more suprised if you were unsuccessful.

THE PARAGONIAN KNIGHTS and THE ROGUE KNIGHTS est. January 2005
The Knights are now looking for brave heroes of all levels and archetypes. We currently have 11 super groups on the Virtue server. We are very active in all aspects of the game and have been nominated by the players of City of Heroes across all servers as one of the Favorite Supergroups of 2006! The Knights pride themselves with having a mature and fun group with some of the most accomplished players in the game. We have been in this game for over four years and have no plans of leaving.
What we have to offer
- Teaming at all hours: The Knights are lucky to have a extremely large player base of about 250+ players. Within those numbers are players from around the world and many different time zones. This opens up the opportunity for players to find teams at odd times. Not just any team, but highly effective and fun Knight Teams!
- Daily Task/Strike Forces and Trials: The Knights have a great staff of leadership that is constantly checking with the membership to see what special task forces need to be posted on the calendar. It is not unusual on a weekend to see a half dozen or more TFs run in a day. If you need a specific task force it is highly likely it will done. Many of the Knights have done these so many times they can be completed in record time and efficiency.
- Rewards!: The Knights hold many contests and programs for the membership to reward them for going above and beyond what is asked of them. The Oh, What a Knight or OWAK program has been well received. This title is given to a Knight who has embodied the virtues of the group and has been both helpful and friendly to others. The recipient of this title is given a PK Collectible Coin. We also reward all characters who hit the one million prestige mark! Many other contests are held throughout the year!
- Beyond the Game: The Knights are much more than your average super group, they are a network of people from all walks of life they are a community. To be a Knight is to be a member of a fellowship of 250+ people who carry on a virtual friendship that often times extends beyond the confines of the internet. The Knights have banded together to purchase commissioned artwork and produce in-game movies among other things. Many friendships have been built that will only increase well beyond City of Heroes
How to Apply
To apply to be a Knight you need to first visit www.paragonianknights.com. Take the time to check out what all the site has to offer. Many of your questions about the Knights can be answered there. After you have decided that you indeed do want to be part of the Knights, click Join Paragonian Knights at the top of the screen and answer the couple short questions. This will set you up with a Guild Portal account. Finally, post a application on the forums using the format provided. Be as in-depth as you desire. After that is done one of the officers will post and provide you with contact info..
The Knight Groups
PARAGONIAN KNIGHTS
The Knights are largely comprised of mature adult players but we invite all ages to apply. We were formed around the ideal of having fun and forging lasting friendships. Play times for Knights cover many different time zones so it is not unusual to find a Knight on all times of the day. The leadership of the SG strives to make every members experience with the Knights in City of Heroes as enjoyable and free of drama as possible. This group is among the Top 100 Groups on the server.
2ND BATTALION
The Paragonian Knights 2nd Battalion is not an alt group for the PK main, but a strong SG that stands on its own. This group is among the Top 100 Groups on the server.
SISTERHOOD OF PARAGONIAN KNIGHTS
To be a member of the Sisterhood of Paragonian Knights, one needs only be a female character and have a willingness to have a good time. The Sisterhood is based around fun and friendship above all else along with some light-hearted role-playing. You can have as many characters in this faction as you like. All players are welcome to apply for membership if they meet those criteria.
HONOR BATTALION
The Honor Battalion is our moderate Role-Playing supergroup. All of the members of this group have characters in the other Knight supergroups as well. The Honor Battalion is role-played as a Special Operations branch of the Paragonian Knights. There are currently several RP storylines being played out in this group which are open to new players. You must be a member of the PK, 2nd Battalion or Sisterhood for one month before being considered for membership in this group. This group is extremely active and climbing the Top 100 Groups on the server.
THE GRAE ACADEMY
The Paragonian Knights - The Grae Academy or The Academy is for heavy Role-players only. All communication, unless indicated, is in-character. All members must be role-played into the group with one of the Teachers, Administrators or in rare cases the Student Body President. You must be a member of the Paragonian Knights, 2nd Battalion, or Sisterhood for one month before being considered for membership in this group. The group has some specific requirements that must be maintained to remain a member. Since this is a school for young heroes, teachers are required to teach monthly classes and students are required to attend at least one class per month.
LEGENDS
The Paragonian Knight Legends are only for knights that have achieved security level 50 status in the City of Heroes. This faction is for level 50 characters that are retired and rarely played. Members of this group will never be kicked due to lapse in activity.
ELITES
The Paragonian Knight Elites are only for knights that have achieved security level 50 status in the City of Heroes. This is the more active level 50 group. The Elites have a raid capable base and participate in end-game content such as PvP, Raids, and Task Forces. There is no activity requirement for this group but if capacity is met the least active will be removed and offered a spot on the Legends roster.
To be a member of any of our Villain Groups, the player must first have a hero if the Knights.
ROGUE KNIGHTS
The Rogue Knights is the City of Villains branch of the Paragonian Knights. They operate under the same guidelines as the Paragonian Knights. Even though the group is comprised of villains, all members are expected to treat each other and other players with respect. All current Knights are automatically granted acceptance into the RK upon creating a new villain. The Rogue Knights are a Top 100 SG on Virtue.
KNIGHTMARES
The Rogue Knights Knightmares is the level 50 group for the Rogue Knights. To be a member the character must have hit level 50 and does not get as much play time as other alts.
TERROR LEGION
The Rogue Knights Terror Legion is our role-playing group on CoV. To become a member of the TL, a player must first be a member of one of our other supergroups. The Terror Legion is also the group we base our superteams.
The Paragonian Knights have an excellent and extremely active website and forums. We are currently the largest City of Heroes/City of Villains web site on Guild Portal with over 1,000 members and growing. We have hosted over 1,500 events to date. If any of these groups interest you please visit our site at www.paragonianknights.com or send me a private message here or at graeknight@gmail.com and I can fill you in more.
The Knights are all about fun and getting to know each other better. Alot of the Knights have been together since their early days with CoH and have built long lasting friendships.

Croatoa is a good location. People want to come they will just have to bring a hero.

Oh, I didn't have an issue with the ITF, I've done that one as well the Lady Gray TF easily. But I'm talking the STATESMAN TF here, not TF, I appreciate the words of support, but my issue is not even being given the chance to try.

Dude, we use Inv. tankers all the time for STF. It is quite rare for us to find a stone tanker to use for it. I tank the STF on my Will Power tanker but he has a pretty expensive build. if someone is denying you access to the team due to you being a Inv. Tanker it is probably not worth your trouble to join that team anyways.
You know my global, hit me up if you want to get a STF going. -
I have a Fire/Pain corruptor but have yet to be impressed with the secondary, granted I solo alot. Pointless reply to pointless thread

NSA? Is that like a personal ad on Craiglist or something? I know alot of people post on Craiglist to have a one night rendevous, you should go that route.
-
You are better off just starting a new one anyways. It will not take you very long to generate the prestige needed to fully outfit a modest base.
Look at it as a new beginning. -

Thats perfectly fine if you elect to do it. I am just stating, I would not. Something that blatant as shown in the link will eventually get noticed by a GM.
[/ QUOTE ]
Not if nobody petitions it. They don't have the manpower to have GMs actively patrolling for violations as well as answering petitions.
[/ QUOTE ]
But Marvel has the manpower to put people in a small online game to look for copyright infringements?? -

It is pretty ridiculous to make a character that looks exactly like a comic book character, but I still wouldn't petition him. I did not sign up to police other people in-game.
[/ QUOTE ]
So, would you be upset if Marvel sued NCSoft again and won, getting the entire game shut down....and then you found out that it was because of a character you could have petitioned, but didn't?
I would.
I don't feel it's my job to "police" people, and I don't go around petitioning every questionable character I see. And with my comic book knowledge I've seen a LOT of them.
But in the case of the toon linked in the OP? Yeah, I would have petitioned that one in a heartbeat.
Any blatant ripoff of a character like that I will petition. Obscure characters, or clever homages I tend to leave alone.
The name, appearance, and backstory are all lifted from Marvel. Being a musician who has been ripped off before, I do what I can to keep it from happening to others.
(The material I had ripped off wasn't anything you ever would have heard. Two members of my former band quit and formed another band, using songs that I had written before they joined mine in the first place. They went nowhere, so it didn't bother me that much. Had they gone on to win a Grammy with one of them, yes I would have sued their pants off, as I have date-marked, recorded proof that the songs existed prior to them being in the band)

No, leveling with a friend should be quicker since you can defeat larger groups together. Also, look into adding more people to your group for even greater xp.
