Quote:Bumping thread for swine flu reportAnd there's been a documented case of 'Swine' Flue at PAX. If you attended and have any symptoms, see a doctor and stay home from work/school/stores/church etc....

ATTENTION ALL PAX ATTENDEES:
On the official PAX Twitter, it was announced that there has been a test-confirmed Swine Flu infection reported from one of the developers that attended the Con. So if you were at PAX and start to develop any symptoms, get to your doctor!

Not into the whole rep thing, but thanks a ton Vanden for continuing to do this, and thanks Guy for the help!

Quote:You could think of it as having a hunch. You've found all but a few of the bombs designed to blow up the building. Based on the locations of the others, you figure that there are only a few other places where the remaining bombs could be placed in order to have the desired effect.I love the idea of a glowie indicator from a player standpoint, but from a story standpoint it makes no sense whatsoever.
Or you could think of it as having found the locations of the remaining glowies via beating it out of the villains you've fought in the mission. -

Issue 16 pre-download. Mostly art resources and other large bits of data. Means you'll have to download that much less when Issue 16 gets pushed to the live servers.

It could very well be an Nvidia issue, as a previous "black screen" problem was in fact traced back to a particular set of Nvidia drivers. I just didn't want to jump to conclusions and assume that it's another driver issue, hence me asking what video cards those with this problem are facing.
Speaking of, what drivers are you currently using, Frost? -
Quote:It matters because if a small group of players are all experiencing the same issue, odds are that there is a common variable or variables among them which would cause this problem to occur. Especially when dealing with a new, large update where back-end technical changes are likely to occur. And by "humoring" me, you've taken a step towards helping the relevant developers fix this problem. Not entirely sure why that would matter, considering the live servers work fine, but I'll humor you. My setup is as follows:
Operating System Windows 7 Ultimate Media Center Edition
CPU Type Intel Pentium III Xeon, 3600 MHz
CPUID CPU Name Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E8400 @ 3.00GHz
System Memory 4096 MB
Video Adapter NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX/9800 GTX+
Network Adapter D-Link DWA-552 XtremeN Desktop Adapter
Or, y'know, you could just shout at the devs to "fix it NOW!", like some petulant child without giving them any information to go on. With any luck, everyone else who's already posted in this thread will share their specs as well and a possible common culprit might be identified. -
What OS are you running, and what vid card(s) do you use?

Question for those affected: What OS are you running, and what video card(s) are you using?
Edit: And are you running any shell modification programs, like Windowblinds, for example? -
Quote:One night during the I15 beta, BABs was on and he decided to show us the costume emotes that were going to be in the issue. So like 10 of of went to Founders Falls and watched him run through the emotes before they'd been made accessible to players. for one of the costume changes, he actually changed into a version of BABs that had cornrows, a different colored tank-top, and the camo pants instead of the regular pants the character normally wears. Looked pretty good as I recall.Quote:
Sister Psyche (she really could be more unique. Couldn't she at least have her own style hair?)
Also...since they changed Infernal to have demon wings, I want them to change Back Alley Brawler so that he has cornrows.
... Oh, and can we put Valkyrie in the Valkyrie costume? It looks a ton better than what she's always been in. She can keep the spear. -
For the sake of completeness, here's Castle's post on the matter from the patch notes thread:
Quote:Meat Doctors were excluded from the change. I should get that clarified in the notes.
Why was this change made?
1) Almost entirely smashing/lethal damage
2) AI "stance" issues on some units
3) Self Rez ability gives almost all Freaks a 20% chance to be worth twice their value per mission -

Quote:Eh, just make the crystal entity look like diamond and you're good to go.Maybe they will add lava and crystal entities... though that sounds like a bad idea if they can't be customized either, and your ruby tanker suddenly turns to amethyst.
And yeah, having alternate appearances for Stone Armor and Stone Melee would be awesome if it really is something BABs is working on. I wonder if any other Stone powers would also get alternate appearances. -

Thanks for the changes. It now works perfectly in Firefox's bookmark toolbar with the proper filters applied. I've sent a request to Niviene to have my "Temporary Dev Digest" thread unstickied and yours stickied in its place at the top of the forum. Until the official trackers are back online, yours is the absolute best alternative (and I might just keep it in my toolbar even after the official ones come back).

Everything Posi has said in this thread has been awesome.

And
is so much more benign and playful than the old smirk smiley. It just isn't as effective as it once was. It's too nice. And it doesn't even animate?!
I demand a facepalm smiley as compensation!

Quote:Wait, wait, wait ... you're not in the closed beta yet? Considering how many things I've seen you horribly break during previous closed betas, you'd think your name would be added to the "must invite" list.I was in every closed beta until i13 and found quite a number of bugs. Wasn't invited for i14 closed, and still found a bunch of exploits during its open beta (including several ways to achieve permanent double XP in the AE). Still wasn't invited to i16's, so I figure their selection criteria just changed or previous findings don't count towards future participation.

Tremendous work! I've added the feed to my toolbar (granted, there's no way of knowing who made a post that way until you go to the actual post, but hey ...) and will be making great use of this until the dev tracker proper gets finished.
