    Blaster Damage

You haven't lived until you try soloing a "blue" Paragon Protector with an Nrg/Nrg Blaster.
    Sorry did i say lived?
Hasten, Aim, Buildup, Snipe, Power Blast, run
    Paragon Protector follows after
    Power Blast, Power Burst
    Start taking damage...
Eat a couple of greens (out now)
Aim, Buildup, Snipe, Power Blast, Power Burst.
    Take more damage & Die.

Now if it were green or gray I’m pretty sure I could have taken it.

This was the defining moment for me. Level 39 Blaster loosing to a level 36 boss. Solo, I was not taking on a group.

This is when I stopped playing Blasters and Started playing Tanks. Don’t get me wrong I loved playing Blaster’s, but will not anymore until the damage cap is raised significantly.

Oh and they were all slotted for 1 Acc and 5 Damage. (except for the Power Burst 1 Acc 1 Range 4 Damage).
  2. LOL!! I've Delt with that help desk and "Alex" before!!

    Great Job Curveball!!

Blasters are very good at soloing up until the 30’s then IMHO they become ineffective

[/ QUOTE ] A blaster's ability to generate xp "solo" is probaby unrivaled throughout their career. Maybe Spines/DA can generate more xp faster. What blasters claim they can't do is finish their missions. Per the devs, soloing is not defined by the ability to finish all your story arcs solo.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Yes and a blasters ability to generate aggro and debt are also unmatched. Blasters must be extra careful prior to any shot being fired or they faceplant. A boss that pings blue should be no threat to a blaster in the later game but they are. (Paragon Protectors)

In reality blasters get 1/2 the xp of other AT’s throughout much of their career.
    "Raise of hands"
How many blasters carry more than one awaken, and why do you think they do that? Or how many have reached the debt cap, or came darn close? I’ve played all the AT’s to some extent and blasters faceplant more often than any of the others that’s what’s wrong.

Blasters are very good at soloing up until the 30’s then IMHO they become ineffective. In the late game blasters are ineffective. The final power in the blasters primary power set Thunderous Blast / Nova / Inferno / etc… Fully Slotted Should be able to destroy all orange minions within range and severely damage Lieutenants and Bosses with out draining all my end. If my entire end is going to be drained it should kill the Lieutenants and Bosses too. More damage for blasters in late game is a must. Take the cap away.

IMO Every AT should be able to solo at least at the heroic setting.

  15. Sorry MrEMan,

Tried everything I could think of with both autoreply and reply. Looks like I got the same results you did.

    Good luck.
  16. You might be SOL on this. I've seen this requested since july of last year. To date no one seems to have figured it out. I've read over the posted failures and nothing seems to work. I will try a few ideas if I get anything to work I will post it for you.
  17. What i showed is bound to numlock yes. You can put a /bind in front of what you see and it will bind it to numlock, or if you saved your binds into a different file then just copy what you see in the "n" area.
  18. as to a direct answer to your post no.

    however this is close

Turning On or Off Multiple Toggle Powers

    numlock "+ $$powexectoggleon Temp Invulnerability$$powexectoggleon Invincibility$$powexectoggleon Assault$$powexectoggleon Tactics$$powexectoggleon Maneuvers$$powexectoggleon Weave$$powexectoggleon Unyielding"

    shift+numlock "powexectoggleoff Temp Invulnerability$$powexectoggleoff Invincibility$$powexectoggleoff Assault$$powexectoggleoff Tactics$$powexectoggleoff Maneuvers$$powexectoggleoff Weave$$powexectoggleon Sprint$$powexectoggleoff Unyielding$$powexectoggleoff Tough"

Pressing and releasing numlock will turn on the listed powers from right to left. The first press and release will turn on Unyielding and queue Weave. As Weave is finished activating, another press and release will activate Manuevers and queue Tactics. Repeat until all toggles are on. This is useful just in case some, but not all, of a character's toggles are shut off. Keep pressing numlock and the game will skip powers that are already on, and queue or turn on powers that are off.

Using powexectoggleoff will allow you to turn off any number of powers, up to the maximum character length of a command line, with only one keypress.

    Thanks storyteller
  19. If you wish to have symbols in your speach bubbles though you need to save it under Encoding UTF-8. ANSI will not allow symbols.
  20. Here is one I used for a while until I respected out of Tp

/bind F5 "team $target I’m opening a Wormhole to bring you to me! Please keep your hands and feet inside the wormhole at all times!! (I'd hate to have a missing body parts incident again). $$powexec_name recall friend"

    Blaster role

I Could not agree more. My first was a Blaster did fine up until level 30 then kept dieing. At level 38 Bosses that were blue would kill me if i did not keep shooting and running. Even then would take masive amounts of damage. Thats when I noticed that Tanks were taking on large groups of enemies several orders higher than their level, and winning without a problem. That’s when I started my tank. My Tank is now level 40. I have always had my missions set at invincible (my blaster would never dream of setting his missions that high). Lately have been inviting lower levels to my team w/o SK so they get great XP and I have bigger and higher groups to play with.

Blaster = If it’s blue (and a boss) it can kill me.
Invulnerable Tank = Blue?? Why bother.

My Tank has taken on multiple bosses 5 levels higher and won. Sure it takes a while but it is possible I shudder to think of my blaster even trying anything that was purple. My blaster Maxed out on debt more times than I care to count. Finally ended up deleting him, and starting over with devices. Oh and I never went melee the word squishy comes to mind.

Also my blaster died many times per level, as for my tank my record is going 7 levels without debt. Oh and on a side note if a tank does not have Taunt dont team with him. He / She cannot protect you.

OH hey here's an Idea. Since blasters accumulate debt 10 times faster than others why not make blaster debt 1/10th of what everyone else gets. LOL
