It's all so stupid and avoidable as well. In Warburg, you can't attack each other while in your base zone as you get flagged as a friendly target as soon as you enter it.
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, that would be a very good idea - they could use the same code they use in Pocket D. -
Well, Arachnos security at Warburg isn't so hot.
Being such a low level, I guess thay thought that if they stood still, I might go away.
Their officers seemed more inclined to sulk than to order any kind of attack.
Even this guy ignored me when I tried to strike up a conversation. -
I may be available for this one - it's a little earlier than my usual playing time, but I think I could still make it
-
The aggro'ed GMs made it a bit mroe lively on the hill - and I got a very useful dam/acc HO too - plus, we had 130 something Heroes there - most I've ever seen together ever

It's swings and roundabouts - the gankers can very quickly become the ganked - it only takes a couple of extra players on the losing side to swing the balance back in their favor.

And then they complain about that aswell.

Some people will complain about anything -

My guess would be around christmas sometime - seems like a good time for a 2xp "gift"
-
It should be for the next 2xp weekend - always fun to do something memorable for that sort of event.
I'd also recomemnd doing them longest to shortest, to avoid the thought of facing Citadel of Positron at 2 am -
I'm sure a FP TF marathon is possible - a couple of them can be done in under 3 hours too, so that leaves extra time for the longer ones - 18 hours or less for the full set
-
Seeing you with a huge robot spider as a pet in RV convinces me othewise
-
We spent 19 hours on those 3, so if we put the same time in, that'd require each of the 6 Freedom Phalanx TFs to be done in about 3 hours each - easily doable
-
Awesome video - and great choice of music, especially for the last song
Just wish you'd recorded that mission against the Thorns where there was that huge battle that went on for ages - best PvE fight I've ever had
Also, I never realized I persecuted the Mages so much
And for the next 2xp weekend, I suggest a Freedom Phalanx TF marathon - all 6 in one day -
Heckling squishies is ok, as long as it's kept clean and good natured
-
Try Siren's Call instead of Warburg - more frequent spawns there
-
Teamed in Siren's call with him today - well done
-

lol GG, bad liar
[/ QUOTE ]
No, really - first time PvP-ers should be nurtured rather than put off -
[ QUOTE ]
I started Pvp'ing in sirens call the other night and yeah i get killed lots, but sometimes if the fight goes my way - ive defeated a couple of heroes.
More often then not - im transported to the hospital and i don't mind.
I'm just not sure theres as many people who are as laid back as me and who couldnt care less as much as me.
Ps. there is one hero who has made me rage at least 5 times.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ooh, was that your first time last night? If we'd known, we would have been more gentle with you -

"why play anything else when you can just roll a toon that will pwn everything" is an attitude I see expressed to often. Until then all you will get are easymode players and the odd squishy that gets instaganked.
[/ QUOTE ]
That's a very good point that I hadn't thought of.
If you've got a FoTM scrapper/stalker that will get you high PvP rep with ease, why roll anything that would require a challenge or change in gameplay? What's the incentive?
[/ QUOTE ]
I think it comes down to why you're playing the game - are you trying to "beat" it, or other players, and show that you're "the best" in some way, or are you looking to have fun and challenge yourself?
[/ QUOTE ]
From my observations most people play pvp side to be the "pwnz0r".
[/ QUOTE ]
And that's where the problems start -

Damn, I'd forgotten all about this - I was PvP-ing all eveing yesterday - sounds like you didn't need any help though

I think he meant Prestige is gained from players defeating other players - like the bonus you get per enemy player in RV during the 5 minute downtime before the zone resets.
[/ QUOTE ]
Even so this type of rewards are totally irrelevant to pvp and give more reason for people to yell "go away we farm badges/prestige" in pvp zones
[/ QUOTE ]
But you could only farm it by PvP-ing - to earn it, you'd have to fight other players - this is a good thing, isn't it? -

PvP for Prestige
[/ QUOTE ]
BAD idea with more bad attached to it. Imagine armies of toons yelling "Don't attack us we're farming Prestige. a la RV. No, if there's any incentive, this is NOT it.

If both sides aren't hung up on debt, then a massed battle in a hotpsot is an awesome experince
