The starting plot size will easily be a big enough one to start with.
The number of rooms depends on what you want to do with your base - if you're looking to expand, then you'll need separate Control and Power rooms, as the Oversight Center can't provide the Control and Power you'll need for a larger base.
Storage items don't need Power or Control.

Getting a basic little palce up and running doesn't take too much effort - play only in SG mdoe for a few weeks and you should earn enough to start building the essentials.

I'd be interested to see just how many plot upgrades have, or will have been done since the rent change, compared to the number of upgrades before.

And if you do want to upgrade, the rent for that will be only 20k per month, so all the 3 of you have to do is earn just over 6.5k each a month to pay it, and anything more can be out towards decorating the base.

There is absolutley no way they should allow anything like this - we're supposed to be heroes, and beating up prisoners is hardly heroic.

It's easily doable, but you have to be patient at first until you're at a high enough level to start earning some serious Prestige.
I started mine before they had introduced the Oversight Center, so it took a while before i could expand much.
But this new rent system will make things faster for you.
