Quote:As they've consumed enough Wells to become an Incarnate "race", they could have all kinds of wacky Incarnate-themed antics to unleash on usAs for what kind of gimmick they'll use to make them a real threat... hm... I wonder how unfair it would be to give random enemies an attack that could put a negative levelshift on players...

Quote:And then there'll be a new threat after the BattalionI would think an event this large and heralded in game lore would be spread over many, many issues, much as the Praetorian content has been. I'm not expecting an entire issue of "This is the Storm, and you've dealth with it."
I also expect people to get as tired of the Battalion and related issues as they've gotten of Praetoria. -
Quote:I suggested a December appearanced for the Battalion a while agoMaybe the "gimmick" they'll use is to release it on December, 21st 2012.
Although it'd probably need to rely on I24 coming out in August at the latest, withb probably no I23.5 or I24.5 - an amternative might be an I23.5 along with I24 to wrap up the Praetorian aftermath, and then an I24.5 at the end of the year as a kind of teaser for the arrival of the Battalion in I25 next year. -
The actual anniversary date isn't until the 28th - but as that's also the say of the Player Summit, any invasion might have to wait a little bit

Add Positron's anniverary letter - it's been up for a while now

According to psoitron's anniversary letter, I24 deals with the fallout from the defeat of Tyrant and the loyalists, and then the Battalion arrives in I25 - so it doesn't look like we'll be getting much of a break between wars
-
I think that we'll need to deal with loyalists hold outs and Crusader anarchists too - there'll still be some stiff armers who'll fight agaisnt freedom even when their evil master is gone, and there'll also be some Crusaders who find that they've got less of a reason now to back up their love of chaos and anarchy.
-
As a follow up, Positron's anniversary letter is up on the main page now - I24 will be dealing with the fallout from the fall of Tyrant and the loyalist dictatorship, and the Battalion will arrive in I25:

There should be something about this at the Player Summit - but don't forget that this is mostly meant for the Blockbuster Summer event, which is still a little way off

Twitter has been giving me error messages for several weeks now, so I'm only able to follow without tweeting right now

What about a group of mutants who, ever since the first Rikti war, have started to think that humanity can only survive in the future by mutating into superhumans? Like they'd think that human evolution needed to be sped up, and were using science and technology to try and trigger useful mutations in willing subjects, with the end goal of making everyone in the world a mutant through a mix of triggered mutaions and interbreeding between the increased mutant population and normal people.
The destruction of Galaxy City and the approach of the Battalion would have meant that they'd abandoned their ultra secret work and were now much more open about their agenda, including trying to publicly recruit volunteers for attempted mutation, and kidnapping people to carry out more dangerous mutation experiments on, as well as plans to contaminate food and water supplies with mutating serum and so on.
They'd have started out as crazed fanatics who'd become more and more evil, but they'd still think that they were doing the world a favor. -

Kings Row used to be the non-hazard zone bridge between Atlas/Galaxy and Steel/Skyway - but with leveling now fatser than before, plus DFB, they might need to extend the level range of KR a bit to make it more relevant to the modern game - like 5-15 would be a perfect bridge between Atlas and Fautline.

I'd suggest all the Atlas arcs, Twinshot 1, DFB until 10, Twinshot 2, possibly Montague Castanella, DFB to 15, Twinshot 3, Graham Easton and Faultline, followed by First Ward, Keith Nance, Jenni Adair and Roy Cooling, with a bit of DIB thrown in too.
