I'm pretty sure movies like The Godfather trilogy and Schindler's List count as reasonably "grown up", and they managed to do well at the box office.
The Avengers shows that Whedon is much better working with established material, rather than his own vanity projects. -

I've heard it used it to describe Firefly and Serenity though - and going by the ones I've met, it also seems to apply to the Brownshirts too, and theeir "it's the next Star Wars, man!" drivel - if they'd just added "Holiday Special" to the claim, it would have been a lot more accurate.

If you're having fun and not harming other players' fun, then you're playing the right way

Quote:I think that if they get enough good suggestions for parts that don't really make a themed set, they might consider doing some kind of "accessories" pack.An additional question about the list: I get the impression from reading it that individual costume pieces aren't likely to receive the art time necessary to make them, while costume sets might. (This seems logical, given that costumes are a source of game income these days, and it's much easier to sell $5,000 worth of Magic Packs than the same dollar amount of Wizard Beards.) With that in mind, is it unrealistic to suggest individual pieces, since the art time to create them may not be available? Or am I reading too much into the whole thing?

Actually, it's been suggested that Primal Erath is called that because of how it's like a dimensional hub, with links to more dimensions than other Earths have, which is why it's such an important target for multiverse conquerors.

Quote:You do know that they've said that there's going to be another way to get these, don't you?I can understand leaving something for T9 VIPS. I get it. What I don't like is making the rewards some of the best stuff in the game. To us costume types, it is awful. Many have wanted the mech and celestial-type stuff for years. Well, we get it and it gets stuck behind the T9 VIP wall. Paragon will not extort me into climbing up the Token ladder and drop a ton of cash. Not happening. This was the final screw over. I sub ends in a while and I will not be renewing - this was the final straw. If anyone else feels as strongly as I do then join me in this protest and make sure you note why you quit in the exit survey.

Quote:You're going to be so disappointed with I23Do not obfuscate the truth with cries for "proof" in a thinly veiled attempt to circumvent evidence obtained from Primitive Earth's own agents, send to destroy the last vestiges of humanity in the multiverse.
The Bold Defenders of True Earth do not answer to so-called primals. We have a much higher calling than Primitive Earth's petty warmongering.
(Also, it's right there. In the quoted text.) -
Quote:But he's fine with nuking Nova Praetoria - for the greater good, of courseTyrant EXECUTES the commander of one of his forces who ignores this and deliberately attacks skyway(?) with hamidon spores, and he abandons Valkyrie for causing damage to the city as well
Quote:AND he sends Duncan to try and put a stop to Mot.

Quote:Don't forget that Praetoria was planned form the start to be the first enemy in the Incarnate storyline, so it had to be an evil place to provide a suitable enemy for Heores, as co-op content has a heroic theme.I think that they should have put some Praetors who arent pure evil into that world, just to try and create a sense of true balance within the world.
The war is also set up to follow the patern of the most popular original "endgame" content - the Maria Jenkin's arc - so we hunt the loyalist AVs down in their various lairs, until we finally confront Tyrant - only this time, instead of setting free just one hero, we're setting free an entire world.
Quote:One thing that does confuse me about Praetoria is that Cole is the leader but you barely hear anything about him. Each attack is of course approved by him, but it seems [to me at least] that it is the Praetors who are all trying to gain his attention/approval that are calling the shots really.
It almost feels like Cole is reluctant to engage in any sort of fight. -
And anyone who fought back against Tyrant's stormtroopers - plus the loyalist invasion plan outlined how they were going to mind scan the entire surviving population of Primal Earth to discover any potential "troublemakers" who could be "dealt with".
So their range of targets when invading covered anyone who stood against them, and anyone who might think about resisting them in the future - and with 7 billion people involved, that was going to create a pretty high body count.
And as the loyalists planned to conquer the multiverse, thay'd rack up a pretty impressive kill score in each dimension they enslaved.
The Praetorian war isn't just about saving Primal Earth and Praetoria form the loyalists - it's about saving all of existence from them. -
