Quote:The Battalion are an incarnate race who eat Wells and enslave and burn Kheldians as fuel for their starships - it's unlikely that they can be stopped by a lone hero or even a duoYou say that like it is a good thing. There is a sizable fraction of the playerbase that disagrees.
Quote:I, personally, am in the fraction of the playerbase that is happy to just never hear about Praetoria ever again. However well written it was, overall, it was a horrible story.
Quote:And given that the bulk of the game is 1-50 activity, one might expect that the bulk of the development would be for that range. -
The only official things they've said about it is that it's a "next gen MMO", an "exciting new game", and an "exciting new IP" - they're also still establishing the art style of the game, and they've been slowly ramping up the size of its dev team for a while now.

Now we know where the loading screen stuff went.

Quote:That almost sounds like a casual-friendly endgame system.Virtue has always been my home server.
Over the past few weeks, with the small amount of weekend play I put in (usually in the midnight hours, EDT), I've managed to get a character from 50 to 50 +3 largely by sitting in the queue while street sweeping or doing DA missions. I was expecting it to take (me) far longer given previous experiences with a different character, but the activity seems (to me) to have increased of late. -
The 3 power sets mentioned will be out roughly within the next 6 months or so - Retro Sci-Fi is coming out in June, and the summer event is starting after I23.

Quote:So you mean that their current premium/freebie set up encouraged you to go VIP?i agree also about freedom not really being free, if the devs. could at least allow IOs to be used by everyone or at least premiums then that would really make it work, i tried going premium for a while but in less then a week i hated it, only able to use 2 characters and all my IOs were grey out, it was a terrible experiance and there needs to be more freedom for freedom/premium players

The ex-mod Beastyle was a brony, if that helps

Quote:I really want them to add the arena to someplace in Cimerora, and attach theater lobby map to all the movie theaters in the game. After watching the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHWdzzGj8IE
Thumbs up, looking forward to this event. -
Quote:You still get everything you used to get for 15 bucks month - only now, instead of the costume booster packs, they now sell the parts separately, so you don't have to buy a whole pack if there's just one bit you want from it, unlike the pre-Freedom model.I really wasn't too sure about all the bureaucracy involved with Freedom and the strangeness of having to buy bits and pieces of a game one step at a time instead of getting a whole, complete, enjoyable game for the comfortable price of $15 a month.
Quote:Then I realized I need to spend a few bucks to even utilize all the invention enhancements I had equipped.
Quote:perhaps there could be more items that are just available to free accounts, so it doesn't feel so restricted.
Quote:I just feel restricted and shortchanged.
Quote:Goodbye all! -
There's no such thing as "wrong" or "bad" powers, so I've never kicked anyone from a team for having them.

I think that this is another reason why having just one forum is better - anything anyone posts can be seen by everyone.

Quote:The PPD aren't a real world police force - they're a police force in a sci-fi fascist dictatorship that is presented as using torture in a regular basis - there are badges marking torture rooms under all the PPD Precincts, PPD zone mobs have text referring to their use of torture - for example, there are mentions of various "levels" of "interrogation" that they use, and that the BAF seems quiet on the surface, but all the "fun" happens downstairs, and so on - and Cleo's arc even includes a little scene when you're bugging a PPD office of the a couple of PPD officers beating up a Resistance fighter in an interrogation room, while the other PPD just stand around chatting, just to highlight the connection with Washington's job title.I will at least comment on this;
Does that mean all official police interrogators in the real world, simply torture people and are evil villains?
That's a shot to the foot of your claim, GG. Unless you'll honestly claim that, then I'd love for you to meet a real-world interrogator, and stop generalizing.
The bio of PPD Interrogators says:
Quote:"The flash of a silver trenchcoat that accompanies the arrival of a PPD Investigator is enough to send a thrill of fear down the spine of any resident of Praetoria. If an Investigator has arrived at your door then you should already be planning your full-throated confession."
Quote:"The Chief Interrogator works directly for Praetor Sinclair as the liaison between the Ministry of Intelligence and the PPD. Washington has the mind of a jackal in the body of a gorilla, and enjoys nothing more than ferreting out those who are not loyal to Emperor Cole and bringing them in for an unmonitored round of questioning. -

Quote:I think that there might be 1 or 2 Trials as part of the Coming StormI agree with this. If Praetorian Hami is a zone event, or in a task force, great. I'm sick of trials, and I really only run them for badges. If I never saw a new trial, I'd be okay with it.
Quote:Of course, trials have been heavily weighted compared to task forces since the Incarnate system was released. Since then, only 1 TF (Sutter) and 1 SF (Kal) have been released, compared to the 2 pre-50 trials and 7 Incarnate trials. Yes, the Penelope Yin TF is coming in I23, but so is another Incarnate trial. It'd be nice to see more TFs/SFs coming out as well.
Plus, TFs are like an extra for the standard 1-50 mission content - but the Trials are the standard 50+ content.
