The game really focuses on the heroic aspect of super-life rather than the mundane - something which the creators got right, IMO.
Positron and Numina seem to be doing ok, and Kadabra and Sigil are still going strong - and several other minor NPCs have partners and children.

There'll be at least a 24 hour warning that the servers will be down for a patch before I23 comes out.

That'd take so much of the Smallville fanfic to a new level of hawtness

It was the timing of it that put it over the top.
That was also a key factor - although it was also one of the big problems Lucas had in getting it made - it seemed like it was such a totally left field idea for a movie at the point in time.

Avengers for as good as it is, and I would argue it's better then Star Wars, does not have the fortuitous timing of Star Wars and will not have any where near the cultural impact that the original Star Wars had.
Again, a lot of that is down to the unique visuals - the Avengers doesn't give us anything visually new - it just gives us familar visuals in an awesome way - we've seen superheroes doing superheroic things in modern day environments plenty of times before.
For example, the Avengers is not actually that different from Daredevil - it's just better than it in every possible way.

In which case Lucas still wins by a mile.
  7. Plenty of players have insect themed costumes, so I think that this will get a lot of entries.

Also, while it's a great movie, the Avengers lacks new and unique visual signatures to help set it apart from other superhero movies - things like a man becoming angry and turning into a green monster are already out in pop culture as an iconic image that even non-comicbook fans are aware of, in the same way that people like Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and Spider-Man are iconic, regardless of how good movies about them are, or even if they feature in movies at all.
The first Star Wars movie introduced iconic visuals like lightsabers, the Death Star, Darth Vader, Stormtroopers, X-Wings, TIE fighters, R2 and 3PO, Star Destroyers - even Princess Leia's hairstyle.
Plus, it also had Lucas' "dirty" sci-fi look, and the weird blend of Westerns, samurai movies, and furuistic space settings, along with one of the best musical soundtracks ever written.
The whole impact of the style and feel of Star Wars on pop culture is way beyond anything the Avengers or any other superhero movie can create.

That people are implying you would believe the only one attractive enough for you is yourself or some doppelganger?
I'd wonder what the heck was wrong with the artist/writer

It's one of the reward choices at the end of the new Summer Blockbuster event - play through the 2 "movies" successfully, and you can get it - but although you can play the movies as many times as you like, the enhancemnet reward is on a 20 hour cooldown.

What about version of Tips/Adamastor's summoning recipe? Like you'd get a Tip/recipe drop that told you thatm, say, a nearby jewelry store was being robbed - going to any jewelry store and activating the Tip/Recipe would spawn a costumed Villain and some hired thugs from the door, kinda like a Halloween ambush.

  16. I don't see what the problem is with letting people know what an item does and doesn't do if it's not obvious?
  17. Revamping all the old zone events to have invasion mob coding to match any level would be a start.

Leprechauns are Red Caps who haven't become twisted and evil - they've fled the spirit realm of Croatoa, and now latch on to powerful beings in the real world, following them around for protection, as the Red Caps hunt down any of their number who they regard as "traitors".
  19. They could add the current IO license as a rare Superpack drop
  20. If they did ever decide to change it, they could make it so that we were "out of action" for 30-60 seconds, using that collapsed-to-your-knees emote they use for NPCs we defeat but don't knock out - rez/revive powers would still work normally, and the time penalty until we recovered on our own would just be there to replace the trip to and from the hospital/base and the 2 loading screens it uses.

  22. As far as I know, Ghost Falcon is still twriling his moustache as business manager for CoH, deciding how much to punish players with prices in the market.
