Trials always get tweaked once they go live - beta testing is more focused on finding bugs, and the content is usually run with the intention of trying to break it, or to find errors as small as typos.
-
But then we wouldn't get things like this Princess Hat, or new tights with necklines and more realistic busts, or new shoes and boots, or anything else that only girls wear.
-
They're both still available in the MA - if they're not showing up in an arc for some reason, it's possible that they've been shuffled around the NPC list, and now have a different code number.
For example, rather than recoding every bit of content Sister Psyche appeared in to replace her ID with the new Penny Yin ID, they could have simply given Penny Yin Sister Psyche's old ID, and given Sister Psyche a new ID. -
Quote:There's been no indication that Darrin Wade is immune to mind reading, so there's no reason why Penny Yin couldn't discover all his secrets wihtout anyone needing to lay a figner on him.And speaking of morally ambiguous characters - compared to my example, Lady Grey is a complete monster. She is probably still in that Vanguard Cell torturing the everliving crap out of Darren Wade even as we speak and yet I think there's still the general consensus that she's on our (or at least humanity's) side.
Quote:And if you think Lady Grey is bad, just imagine how they torture people in Arachnos. Now THERE'S a whole different sense of scale for you.
Quote:The only reason Tyrant might still be alive in 6 months is because they can't find a way to kill him since a ground-zero nuclear blast sure as hell didn't do the trick. Twice. And I'm pretty sure the last time he was captured they had a rough time just keeping him contained at all. Even without the power of the Champion, he's still one of the most powerful metahumans in the multiverse barring ourselves and he's not above murder to enforce his twisted vision on the masses. And this scenario is considering that Prometheus and his "organization" don't want to keep Tyrant shackled on their own turf due to the threat he represents, which could lead to some... interesting political ramifications. -
Quote:Just wait until SSA2 startsThis. But at this point I'm just sick of seeing Penny Yin in general. I understand you wanna make her prominent, but it gets annoying to have her shoved in front of my face every time I log in AND visit these boards. Share the spotlight with some other heroes, or have it rotate out various character.

Quote:Lambda was so hard people avoided the indoor part and just farmed the outdoor mobs - and ther BAF used to fail pretty often at the prisoner escape phase. The STF was "hard"
The LRSF was "hard"
Reichsman was "hard"
Hell, even Trapdoor was "hard"
People need to learn to adjust.
Once players catch on that a Trial requires a different type of gameplay from the pre-50 content, they get much at running it. -

Quote:But that level of power destroys the standard game - we were already massively powerful at 50 - the Incarnate powers make any pre-Incarnaet content trivialI don't know about the rest of the community, but the trials have always been a means to an end for me - getting Incarnate Powers to bring back with me into the standard game.
The Incarnate powers are designed for Incanrate content - being able to use them in non-Incarnate content is just a neat little bonus to let us show just how far above it we now are. -
Quote:I didn't see any citizens in panic - just a crowd that had turned out to cheer on the Resistance and the redeemed PPD as they prepared to storm the last lair of the loyalists in Imperial City. It's the symbolism that's shocking. Everything we're fighting for amounts to a city in flames with stacks of smoke rising into the air and citizens in panic. It's especially visible in the cut scene between Vetrano and Sinclair. Vetrano speaks of liberation and how the people can fare better on their own, while you see a city in flames and at war behind her. Meanwhile Sinclair talks of how the people can't be expected to make the right decisions and are making huge mistakes, and behind him you see a clean, pristine city with a shining sun and clear sky.
It's more than a bit unsettling, and to me, made it feel like all we did was uproot and destroy a civilization.
And the city is hardly "in flames" when the fires only take a couple of windows at the most on a single floor of the handful of buildings that have been damaged - it's hardly Blyde Square or Skyway City. -
-
Especially something this silly - even after a pitched battle in Lambda Sector, a riot at the TPN campus, the loyalists almost sending the Keyes Island reactors into nuclear meltdown, Mother Mayhem mindwashing the entire world, plus Tyrant's actual nuking of Nova Praetoria, the battle to liberate Imperial City causing a few small fires is apparently somehow shockingly destructive
-
Another savage blow to the legacy of the evil Jack.
-
Another possible fix would be to add a 20 hour cooldown on earning the Hybrid slot IXP if Tyrant wasn't brought under 50% health.
-
I think that the only way there could ever be clothing "equality" in a game would be if it had a strict historical setting, where women wouldn't be allowed to wear "male" clothing.
Of course, if a game was going to try and be that accurate, then it'd also have to enforce strict gender roles too, which would limit its appeal to female gamers quite a bit -

Maybe they could ditch the noise and replace it with big red warning text:
YOU'RE NOT AS POWERFUL AS PENNY YIN SO BACK AWAY NOW -
-
-
Pro hax - or you belong to one of those leet WoW raiding guilds - or you slept with a dev or blackmailed a GM - the chances that you and your league succeed using only teamwork, planning and coordination are tiny, as the Trials aren't designed to be beaten that way.
-
It's not the fault of the devs if they make a Trial that players fail because they won't follow instructions.
-
Does a mission that lets the player one shot the entire Arachnos high command count as devs hating Villains?
