Welcome to the game and the forum, Ryzzhan

Quote:That was a pretty epic bit of text, though
-
Then he should have made this a locked announcement thread
Positing a "join the discussion here" link kinda implies that there will be a discussion going on that's related to the topic -
Quote:One of the major problems with it - apart from them restricting the options on purpose so that everyone looks "DC" - is that while the costume parts are pretty well detailed, they also very often use a single piece instead of multiple ones, which lacks variety and leads to similar looking outfits on a lot of players.I have no idea how much head injury it would take to believe DCUO's costume creator was better than either of them.
For example, a DCUO retro sci-fi top based on the COH one would include the chest control box and the shoulder pieces built into it - there'd be no option to leave them off. -

I think that the Hamidon thing is just down to 2 different triggers - the slow burn and the sudden snap.
We don't have any info on the age of Hamidon Pasalima, so it's quite possible that the Primal one was older when he became a monster - it would be a slow build up of seeing environmental damage that finally turned him into a supervillain - while the Praetorian one could have been quite young when he turned, with the nuclear war being the sudden snap for him - the transformation happening at 2 different satges of their lives could also explain the different look and powers of the 2 creatures. -
Quote:Heroes now talk to Positron, who's been researching Incarnates.Oh, I just remembered.
Now that Statesman is removed from the game.....who is the Hero side Incarnate that you go talk to in Mender Ramiel's arc to unlock Alpha?
Since, you know, the Well talks to you personally using Statesman as a vessel, and Statesman is the only Heroside Incarnate that is not used elsewhere in the same arc. -
Quote:That's correct - "A Hero's Hero" is a "historical" arc now, and timeline-wise, it now takes place before the tutorial.I just checked and the souvenir for A Hero's Hero is entirely intact. With several mentions of Statesman and not a single mention of Positron.
So, as far as I can tell, only A Hero's Epic has been changed.
"A Hero's Epic" happens after the death of Statesman, but before the Praetorian war. -
I already mentioned that earlier
It's like sneaking into a bad guy's territory do destroy some important item belonging to him instead of charging in at the head of an army - very underhand and unfair behavior. -
Quote:And how often did you run MJ''s arc? There was me thinking that he was in Maria Jenkin's arc as well ... and also in Fort Trident - not to mention being the poster boy for the entire friggin' game.
I must be getting forgetful.....
Until SSA1, one of the main complaints about Statesman was that he hardly showed up in the game -
The des have said thast the divergence of the timelines started with the death of Stefan Richter at the Well of the Furies.

Quote:There's nothing evil about our defeat of Tyrant - we even managed to capture him aliveI think what he meant by that was, if heroes did something bad for once maybe now they get how villains feel doing good all the time. Doesn't fit the character, breaks immersion and enjoyment.

Praetorian mobs should have Freakshow style revives to make them more challenging.
-
Quote:You only ever saw him in Independence Port - that's hardly a huge change you'd notice, unless you logged in every day on the Longbow ship thereThe whole 'remove Statesman from the game' is pretty crap IMHO - and now it's starting to make no sense in the game itself as well.
I haven't played the game for weeks now. The Statesman debacle just killed off (pun intended) my appetite for the game now.
I log in from time to time, but it's like walking into a house you used to live in - and now belongs to someone else.
I think I'm almost done with the game ..... -

On a related note, I'd like Black Swan's blue Rikti Monkey shadows to be replaced with plain black humanoid shadows - I think it'd make her group, look more menacing.

Quote:It's unreasonable to think that a game in 2012 should still be based around computers from 2004Oh, looks like the real Golden Girl is back. She was sounding far too reasonable lately.
If they'd followed that idea, then we'd never have gotten ultra mode, or water blast, or any of the other more graphically sophisticated stuff. -
The office maps are pretty flexible, so they're useful as the base for a variety of different environments.
-
Quote:They even reference the whole Domi/Tyrant thing in her personal story mission, but in a deniable wayI hadn't thought about this, but you're right. It's strange how Dominatrix keeps getting herself into the same situation with relatives... Or maybe not. She could just really be into that kind of thing.

Quote:No for me and for my character would behave the same as Goku and Vegeta did in DBZ. Goku let Frieza fight at full strength to show he was better. Likewise, Vegeta could of beaten Cell but wanted to fight his ultimate form (which got Vegeta beaten) to prove his might.

The Dagger was mentioned back in I12 as one of the titles of a book in the Midnighter Club library, and Maria Jenkins also has a mission against Black Swan that mentions the Quills - although I'm not sure how recently that's been added - certainly no earlier than I18.
