Quote:That's already covered - Statesman and Sister Psyche die sometime between the tutorial and the Penny Yin TF.but at some point they need to start worrying about the chronology again. Maybe they have a plan to actually retcon States out or something and this is only the first step.
Players who want to see how it all unfolded can play the historical arc "Who Will Die", which portrays the events surrounding this crucial moment in the history of Paragon City. -
As it features the Clockwork King, and Penny's character has recently evovled, I think it's quite likely that Synapse could get a revamp.
-
That monster pulling was also before they added police drones to the Portal Court area.
-
I'd like Judgement to be avilable for the ninja and monkey phases.

At what point was CoH ever based around 4-person teams?
-
As the Phalanx TFs get revamped, it becomes less of a problem - although I'd like to see a whole costume attached to them, with each TF unlocking a part of it - boots, gloves, top, bottom, belt and mask for the 6, and a cape as a bonus for completing all 6.
-
-
Four person teams are lots of fun - but they also require simpler content to avoid the team being given a task they can't complete because they're the "wrong" ATs or power sets.

Quote:Google is strangely silent on all thisIf you adventured outside of CoH and actually played with Felicia and her crew when ''the guild'' was at its utmost top popularity - when they did their special ''WoW Play through'' on the Official Beta Server--- you'd of seen just how horrid she really did play, how she did with a maxed out, maxed armored DPS and PROC but still managed to get the team f'd up by not listening to a word both her friends that knew the game, and the devs threw at her.
And lets not even talk about her live gaming adventure to up her popularity where she got pwnt in pvp zones, and in plenty instances. I'll give her credit for attempting to game but when celebrities jump on a server and the Devs/Mods stack your character out then send you on your way without the knowledge of how to use said powers....
It was a failtastrophe so epic even the GenMods game on to apologize for the team wipe she caused.
Do a little WoW forum searching from that day, and if the Mods haven't locked out all the threads entirely just read up on a little of what her fame got her. Rumor is she left the keyboard in tears due to the ridicule she faced afterwards, just like she walked out of Blizzcon after being trolled.
Quote:Go look up facts before you even think twice about calling out my truths.
Finding facts is hard when they don't exist - and not everyone is comfortbale with just making them up instead. -
I think there would have been a few threrads and news stories on geek sites about it by now - "Feleicia Day is a Fraud" would certianly be of interest to the geekosphere - especially as she has apparently admitted that she hates gaming several times at various cons - although her sinister PR machine seems to have pressured Google into deleating any reference to it.

Quote:No need for the Force - looking like Hayden was enoughFunny, this is always how I felt about those scenes in the backwoods of Naboo between Anakin and Padme. THey were so unconvincing that he had to be doing some Force stuff to her mind, whether he was aware of it or not.

Even though multiverses and alternative dimensions are classic comicbook stoylines, Paretoria is still more mysterious for anyone new to the game - it's a comicbook game, called "City of Heroes", and you can choose to make a Hero, and start in Paragon City, or a Villain, and start in th Rogue Isles - those 2 choices don't really need any extra explanation - and even reading the names "Paragon City" and the "Rouge Isles" for the first time isn't a problem, as they're both attached to the Hero and Villain choices, and have suitably descriptive names - "Praetoria" and "Praetorian Earth" don't have that same descriptiveness.
-
Eden could also get a revamp if the Praetorian Hamidon tried following us home, and set up some kind of link with the Primal Hamidon that allowed it to tear through into our dimension.

Quote:But they're not strong enough to tear down the loyalist dictatorship on their own - that's mentioned several times in the GR content, and emphasized by the arrival of Dark Watcher and the Vanguard - wihtout the help of Primal Earth, the Resistance couldn't have won, and without the help of the Resistance, Primal Earth couldn't have launched such an effective counter-attack agains thre loyalists. And that whole shtick never held water to begin with, considering the Resistance still existed in Praetoria's storyline.
The need for them to work together is an important plot point from GR that's expanded on once the war against the loyalists returns to Praetoria. -
Quote:The solution is to escape from Praetoria at level 20, then return later to destroy the loyalist dictatorshipis that I cannot make a Praetorian character.
CoH lets you make just about anything and you become a hero.
Praetoria is such a specific world that I know basically nothing about. It is not really a superhero world.
So while the content is good, I can't help feeling like I don't belong. My character does not fit in. -

Quote:I don't think it was totally down to the random minimum leagues - it's just that preforming has simply been part of the culture of the game from the start. When they were first introduced, the iTrials had a high failure rate, and people (rightly or wrongly) blamed it on the LFG throwing them into random, minimum-sized PUGs. So people rejected the LFG and started forming their own leagues. The habit is so entrenched in the playerbase at this point that I'm not sure anything can be done to change it, short of disallowing pre-formed leagues completely (which would be an unpopular move, to say the least).
Before the LFG and the Incarnate system arrived, the only way to join a team was to either start it yourself, or get invited by someone who'd started one themselves - it just semed much more natural to transition from "mission team in Talos LFM" to "BAF forming, PST" than to switch to a random team forming tool.
Even things like DFB tend to be preformed - I quite often see 4 or more people in Atlas broadcasting that they're looking for a DFB run -
Quote:The fact that it's still going strong after 8 years should give you a clue about the chances of being disappointed after paying $15 to check it outI decided to re-install, give it a try and see what all the changes are about without having to worry about throwing $15 away on possible disappointment...after all, the game is over 8 years old now.
Quote:Now, to all you who say things like "You feel shortchanged for paying nothing?", you seem to have ignored the fact that that I've payed $540+ (plus taxes, CC fees, and other one-off purchases like respecs and server transfers) over those three years
