I have a build with 33% def, plus the resistance, plus healing flames.

I still don't understand why I can't use my real money to buy the 63 month veteran reward if I want to. How does that hurt the game if I can pay to have my VRs now? I think it helps it. Personally, I'd like to see the VRs be a free booster pack. That way, if I can't wait to get it via VR, then I can buy it now. And realistically speaking I do not see myself playing a 5 year old game for 5 years into the future. Let me buy some of those VRs.
I have $$$ to spend and you need it for the longevity of the game. Do you want it or not? If not, why not?
[/ QUOTE ]
I can agree with this. Though I did start playing the game soon after I release, there was an extended period of time that I didn't play. No fault of my own, really. Well maybe it was my fault. Guess that's what I get for going to Iraq for those two years.
I'll just tell them no, I can't go next time, I need to earn my vet rewards. I mean, I've already earned my real world vet rewards, now I wants a travel power on my scrapper at level 6!! -

Superspeed has Flurry, Flight has Air Superiority, and Leaping has Jump kick. I gave my pool a simple low damage punch to try and follow that setup.
[/ QUOTE ]
Note how each of those actually ties into the power pool somehow? Flurry is a barrage of super fast punches. Sounds like Super Speed to me. Air Superiority? Um, duh. This is completely obvious. Of course a flier should have this attack. And Jump Kick? Well, the pool is called friggin Jumping. How does a Jump Kick not fit in?
Sorry, but adding an attack just for the sake of having an attack is not the way it works.
As for the rest of your comments. It makes no difference. This is not a NEW travel pool. It's just a mishmash of the other pools slammed together in a way that you would like to be able to select them. You can get all of the powers you suggested already in one way or another. Mixing up and combining old powers does not equal new powers.
If you want to suggest a new travel pool you should come up with something that would actually be new.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm in for the OP's new power pool.
Im just curious though, which is why I quoted you, where is the theme with fly in air superiority?
Flurry you puch super fast, jump kick is a kick, but you don't launch into the air for air superiority, nor do you launch your foe upwards ala KO Blow? -

Indeed, I could never accomplish anything decent on my own regen scrapper, so I shelved him.

I see what you did there. 44 AV's is childs play of course. And 4 AV's at the same time? Pfffft slacker.

I'm sure this has been posted before, but not sure as I generally don't spend much time in this area of the forums.
Anyway, my idea, or to be honest, my totally ripped off idea from another NCsoft game.
Items that you do not wish to sell, but also do not want to carry with you everywhere, can be left in your Warehouse. When you find a Warehouse Keeper, you can access your Private Warehouse. Just like selling or trading, you can either drag the items to the storage area or right-click them from your inventory.
There are two portions to your warehouse. The Warehouse itself is for your character only. The Account Warehouse can only be accessed by your account, so any character you have can access the Account Warehouse. You can expand your Warehouse up to 64 items currently, with plans for more soon.
I think the idea has some merit, and before someone sayd something about using sg base storage, how does that help me when I get something on Champion that my Scrapper on Triumph needs? -
[ QUOTE ]
CoH has been sending out info regarding updates via e-mails for as long as I can remember. Even if you leave the game, if you have any inkling you might return later, it's a good idea to keep your e-mail info up to date on your NCSoft management info.
I still get e-mails from games I have left. When something and interesting comes out, I can decide if it's worth returning to the game for.
[ QUOTE ]
If I pay $10-15 extra dollars a month, why shouldn't I get double credit for veteran rewards? Or just a flat $15 a month to "catch up"?
[/ QUOTE ]
It's not a question of being threatened. Veteran Rewards were designed as an incentive for being around. Allowing folks to simply buy them defeats the whole design.
[/ QUOTE ]
Sorry, and this isn't directed at you Des, but sometimes we don't have a choice about things. I didn't have a choice about the 18 months I spent in Iraq. Why shouldn't I be able to push forward and catch up with the other vets? -
[ QUOTE ]
Here you go as promised I present to you Colonel Victory.

How is it I see Jeff Speakman but no Cynthia Rothrock?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I6ePf...atch-main-area
And from her wikipedia entry,
She is five-time (and undefeated) World Karate Champion in forms and weapons between 1981 and 1985. These categories are not combat-oriented, being displays of fluidity of movement rather than fighting, and are therefore not segregated into male and female categories but fully open to both sexes.
She holds five Black belts in various Far Eastern martial disciplines, including Tang Soo Do (also "tangsudo", Korean), Tae Kwon Do (Korean), Eagle Claw (Chinese), Wu Shu (contemporary Chinese), and Northern Shaolin (classical Chinese). She received her sixth degree black belt in Tang Soo Do Moo Duk Kwan in 2006 and was tested by Grand Master Robert Kovaleski, 7th Dan and chair of the I.T.M.A. She also works as a martial arts instructor and her favorite weapons are the hook swords.[1] 羅芙洛
[edit]Film career
Northern California was her home in 1983 where she worked with the West Coast Demonstration Team. At this time Golden Harvest was searching in Los Angeles for the next Bruce Lee. Rothrock's forms and maneuvers were observed and Golden Harvest signed a contract with her. It was two years (1985) later that she made her first martial arts movie for them, Yes, Madam (also known as Police Assassins or In the Line of Duty Part 2) which also starred Michelle Yeoh. It proved to be a box office success. She ended up staying in Hong Kong until 1988 doing seven films there. She may be the first Caucasian actress that ever had a lead role in a Chinese film as a heroine. At the time, the typical role for Caucasians was cast as either as a villain or as comic relief.
Rothrock became one of the few Caucasian performers to achieve genuine stardom in the local Hong Kong film industry before achieving success in their own country. Producer Pierre David initiated Rothrock's move to the American turf. David offered her a costarring role with Chad McQueen in Martial Law, Rothrock's first U.S. production. For the next ten years she led a successful career in B-grade action movies. Her films include China O'Brien and China O'Brien 2, Guardian Angel, Honor & Glory, No Retreat, No Surrender 2 and Prince of the Sun amongst a roster of thirty films.
Rothrock also appeared as Bertha Jo in the 1997 television film The Dukes of Hazzard: Reunion. She was an inspiration for the video game characters Sonya Blade[2] of Mortal Kombat and lent her voice on the animated series Eek the Cat.
Rothrock's stated that, "throughout my life, I've been opening the door for other women to get involved with this (martial arts movies). I was the first woman to be on the cover of a karate magazine and the first woman to win a men's championship." -

I believe you are mistaken. This is the reason why Scrappers must have Super Strength.
[/ QUOTE ]
Oh, I agree 100 percent, however, the powers that be would nerf it more than regen if it came to us like this. -
[ QUOTE ]
This may be one a lot do not know about, but I like Rowdy Roddy Piper in John Carpenter's They Live!!!. He goes into a bank and says, "I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick [censored]...and I'm all out of bubblegum." He then uses a shotgun (OK, blaster like), and shoots a bunch of aliens.
This type of movie quote really captured the essence of scrapperdom than statements like that.
I'm going to second Brandon Lee in The Crow as a Dark Melee scrapper, but with another quote. Eric Draven states as he is close to death... "I have something to give you. I don't want it anymore. Thirty hours of pain all at once, all for you."
Best Scrapper moment to me is from a cult Korean classic called OLDBOY. Basically, OLDBOY gets a hammer and is stuck in a hallway with well, everyone. He basically fights his way through and demonstrates what street fighting would look like if it was a power set. He ain't graceful, and takes his hits (willpower), but as you see in the end, he kinda kicks [censored].

Indeed. Also the bar fight towards the beginning of the movie.
It's a bit newer but I'm gonna throw out Optimus Prime in Transformers two. When he says "I'll take you all on!" and then pulls out the second sword and freaking destroys every deceptacon on screen. I was in my seat cheering.

ok well i looked at your build and im not impressed. im not trying to be rude either.
none of your defenses are capped unless you have someone within range of you for phalanax fighting. and they have to be within 8 feet of you.. so pretty close. so solo, you will not be capped. Your AOE defense isnt capped either way.. even with phalanax fighting.
you basically wasted 4 slots on boxing in my opinion.. sure you get the 10% recharge and 4% recovery.. but if you simply put a ragnarok set in your electric fences or ball lightning.. you would only lose 3.75% recharge.. and you could use those extra 4 slots on much better things. like an extra slot for the pancea in health. an extra blessing of the zepher or two to bring up your AOE defense. You could also change your tough power to aegis.
anyway, thank you for the guide! I love my SS/SD! Im about to test out your binds.. good thinking for the inspirations!
