Why wouldn't you use it, and it's cousins Burn and Waterspout, vs AVs? They don't run from it (well most don't, I haven't tried it on every AV) and it does great damage along with a defense debuff (and stun, though that's probably not relevant vs AVs unless you've got other stunners stacking while PToD are down).

I'd like a nice Mini because I couldn't afford to run, insure and maintain a 1965 Aston Martin DB5 Coupe.

Invisibility Potion? Barring that, I'd have Paul Prudhomme make a Sazerac and then surprise me with whatever he felt would be good.

7. If you could have dinner with three people, living or dead, who would they be?
Well the dead people would probably want to talk about how they died and want to know all the details and see if they could do anything to send a message back in time to tell their living-selves not to eat the salmon mousse or whatever so I don't think that would be very enjoyable. It would probably just be my husband and I having my mom over and Paul Prodhomme. We'd make Paul cook. Actually, screw that, he can invite us over to his house--I'm sure it's nicer. And he can pay for the airplane tickets to NOLA too.

8. If you could do any profession, what would it be?
Assuming I magically get the skill set to go with it, carpenter. I would enjoy making physical stuff that looks and functions well. My real job is mostly organization, getting pricing, specifying printing parameters, etc--it is not hands on.

9. If you could change ONE thing about yourself, what would it be?
I'd get rid of my allergies. I'd like to be in better shape but I can do that myself (especially if I was less bothered by allergies).

10. Cats or dogs? Cats, which probably contribute to question 9.

11. What is your favorite sport and why?
I'm not a big sports fan but I do like soccer and rugby because they are easy to follow and exciting (other sports tend to stop and start a lot and I get bored--football especially never has a sense of momentum to me). Also hot guys in singlets are generally good to watch so I always check out Olympic wrestling, gymnastics and weightlifting when that is on. I like the MMA reality show "Ultimate Fighter" too.

12. If you had your choice between staying home watching TV, going to the movies or going to a professional sporting event, which would you choose?
I like going out but am not much of a sports fan so I'd go to the movies. And I do go to the movies, a lot.

13. If you could be ANYBODY in the world, who would you be and why?
If this means actually stepping into someone else's life then, no thanks, I'd stay me.I like being my husband's husband, I like having my friends and family, etc.

If this is more just a physical thing than I'd be a 25 year-old Sam Elliot. I'd have a great mustache, a sexy voice and based on those jeans he used to wear in the 70s he's uh, well, he filled them out really well in the front. Also, it would be nice to know that I'd still look pretty good when I'm 65 and I could always quit my job and become a cowboy.

Make a storm defender and take TP as travel power. It's great for bouncing around the perimeter of your kill zone, 'caning stuff back into the center.

I do. But then I jump around from alt to alt a lot and think nothing of leaving a character untouched for 2 weeks. And I don't play the market as much as a lot of people.

You'll be able to move existing characters into Praetoria and, based on your actions there, possibly transfer them to the opposite zone permanently.

At least that is how I read it. If it was less that that it would be a huge disappointment to me (and, I think, to many other people).

For good or bad, the forums foster scrutiny and analysis of every announcement. In this case I think the simplest, most comic-book interpretation (i.e., mine) is correct.

I assume you go to Spock-has-a-beard-verse and while there have experiences that offer you the chance to switch sides and exit in red zone/ blue zone based on your decisions.

What's up with people not taking Freezing Touch? It's the second most damaging attack in the set. Do you guys just not like the animation or...?

This is off topic some but the hold from your secondary does a lot more damage than the epic hold. Also, if you pop a stealth IO into CJ you could drop the Stealth power and get BU.

Regarding IOs, I'm no defense guru but the Steadfast Protection: Resist/+3% defense is a no-brainer in Permafrost. To up damage, I put the taunt psi-damage proc (Perfect Zinger) and the slow smashing-damage proc (Impeded Swiftness) or other damage proc into Frozen Fists since that's such a fast, low damage attack.

I'd try to figure out what you want to increase and then check City of Data or the wiki for info on what set has the bonus you want. Since you can cap your defense pretty easily with Absorb Energy I'd go for +Recharge (crushing impact, doctored wounds aren't too expensive for this) and +Regen (Entropic Chaos in a ranged attack [if you get one] adds 10% regen and +6.25% recharge).

Don't forget to add the "chance to heal" from one of the sleep sets into your Frozen Aura. It's relatively cheap and very handy for upping your de facto regen rate.

This. If you have Follow Up, throw this proc in it.

Have you tried the 4 pts of KB protection for a while? I ask because it stops the vast, vast majority of the KB in the game. Fake Nem plow through it and some other big hitters but I have it on a couple of toons and they get KB'd once in a blue moon.

Also, if you decide to take tough/weave, you can slot 4 of Kinetic Crash in Kick for another cheap (influence-wise) 3 points of protection. And you can 6 slot it for a 7.5% recharge bonus but that is a big slot investment.

They give freespecs every issue because, regardless of stated reason, they know that people will go absolutely bat-guano-crazy if they don't and they don't want to hear all the wailing and gnashing of teeth. Besides at this point they have given at least one freespec in close proximity to every issue (well, except the very early ones where the respec concept wasn't in the game yet) so the tradition has a lot of momentum.

The "freespecs are given with major power changes" mantra doesn't really hold water since ANY power change is going to be a major one to somebody. Even non-power changes, like new enemies or zones, can make people want freespecs so they can adapt to the new challenges. And many people tend to be very vocal about it.

But, yes, you are correct that there have not been any dev posts saying that the pre-reqs for tier 3 have changed so if Fitness followed the same route it would not free up Stamina early for anyone.

Are you trolling? Anyone can skip power pre-reqs and pick up Flight (Raptor Pack) at 6 and Super Jump (Zero G) at 10 without being a vet. CoV character have multiple ways to get flight early and replenish it without using any power picks. This is a minor perk--if it is "massively balance altering" then the balance got altered years ago when CoV was released.

The biggest factor here is that Acrobatics no longer requires pre-reqs but given the changes to mezs and the increase in anti-KB options (inventions) even that is not a huge deal.

If a 50 is trailing 50-53 mobs through the low end of PI then that person is being a jerk--especially if they don't have a taunt (or similar) to hold the aggro. Ghost hunting is no excuse for griefing people 8 levels lower than you.

I was minding my own business, ToTing on my 43 scrapper when I got zapped by a 50-something witch. Some numnutz was trailing monsters and was not able to hold the aggro. Maybe he was "ghost hunting" and maybe he was just purposefully griefing; it looked the same to me either way.

If someone threatened to train mobs on another player, that is definitely griefing and should be reported.

Regarding Web Grenade going away...

I bet this was exactly the reason that web grenade was picked to leave. I expect that a lot more people (in the game as a whole) choose a ranged damage power over a ranged immobilize/slow/-fly.

I am in no way saying that shuriken is better than web 'nade. I would pick web grenade. I just bet more people pick shuriken because it seems cooler to stab people at range rather than throwing glue at them.

Of course I also think the vast majority of people don't ever use the real numbers feature or read the forums or use build planners or PvP. So lots of people not picking a not-flashy power matches my expectations.

Do enemies really have ATs? I thought they were individually created and didn't necessarily have to follow AT parameters. It seems like there are lots of enemies with mix & match powers.

But back to the original question, she doesn't seem very Stalkery at all--I've never been AS'd by her or noticed her placating. I think she is most similar to a spines scrapper with an extra control power or two thrown in.*

*edit: now that I think about it more, I don't remember much control coming from her either. She mostly seemed to freak out and go into lawnmower mode, like a scrapper or brute.
