Does that mean the Lesbien Catgirl corner is no more?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Not sure. We still have lesbian catgirls.

    Nowadays, they just get everywhere...
  2. or, if you're stalking two bad things. Sneak up, AS-the first, placate the second, wait till as comes back up, and AS the second. It's quite amusing to stand there right in front of him, and placate lasts long enough for you to recloak. My solo levelling rate has gone way up since I got placate on my Nin/Nin, because I have to do less waiting around.

Placate: Take it, slot it for recharge, love it to death. You know it makes sense.

Edit: Almost forgot. It has a really really cool Jedi mind-trick animation. *handwave* "You don't need to see her ninja-to"

To be fair, the older end at the moment are in the 40-50 space where the end is in sight, so we're pushing o at it. When we all get there, things should settle down a bit again.

We've had the discussion before, lulls happen.

Great edition, well written articles too. Pity about Supersheep. I and the rest of his flock wait with baited breath for his return.

    Edited for truth.

You know, one day I will get around to writing all the evil little plot articles I've been gently coming up with..
  6. To add to to this, regen also has the magic auto power labelled "Quick Recovery." Between this and stamina, short of concerted drain (ring mistresses or sappers) you're unlikely to run out of end under normal (ie you aren't using 5 extra toggles) circumstances. Take it, slot it, sleep with it.
  7. Actually, robots goes with traps fairly well.
  8. Brutewise, pre-stamina, you have all the problems of a non-regen/SR scrapper and a tank thrown in. it takes until you get to stamina levels for the end-recovery powers in the assorted powersets to show up, and before then, you're liable to end up with as many as four or five toggles (if you take a combat toggle movement pre-req like combat jumping or somesuch). Pre-SO and pre-stamina, when you combine it with some of the primary powersets and their tendency to be end-hungry, and the fact that in order for your inherent to be effective, you have to be almost constantly on the move and fighting, it all adds up to a mess. One of the standard tactics early on is to only use some of your toggles some of the time, which is kind of sensible until you get to the levels where the bad guys do multiple types of damage (like ooh, say, Legacy Chain)

My Em/Ea brute, to use an example, will wind up with 5 combat toggles (CJ, KShield, PShield, ESheild, EnCloak) to be running, probably simultaneously, by the time I'm done. Later on I get an end-recovery power, to hopefully make that monstrosity manageable, but all the while, I'll be using the end-hog that is Energy Melee. At level 13, my endurance recover with all the necessaries running is only pitifully above break-even when standing. Even with end-recs in powers, the situation is quite dire in actual combat.

What the solution is, I don't know. Once we can get everything working and powered without falloff, we're sick. Before that, we're dancing a knife edge.
  9. Rumours that the manual comes with a diagram showing "This End Towards enemy" are of course completely unfounded and untrue.

    Completely. Got it?
  10. Okay, to any new people, we aren't really that pedantic...

    ...

    Oh wait, yes we are.

Edit: *sigh* Fixed typo, due to pedantry. My point exactly.
  11. I also appear to be in the unenvious situation of having the wrong type of plastic card, and hence no way of booking any accomodation either. Anyone with a card, who wants a freeloader (a paying half-freeloader actually) ?

    I don't snore (much).

  13. same. beginning of march is truly lean for me.
  14. As a "i haven't got any idea what power to pick at level 49" power, I can see it being a bargain. Leastways, you can use those 50 slots somewhere more useful.
  15. On the other hand, that famous catchphrase is now canon.
  16. Currently noodling around with a Kin/Dark (level 10). Don't know whether or not I've made some booboos though. Gone with Dark Blast/MoonBeam/Dark Pit (the people who like it treat it as a minion lockdowner, so I'll see how it goes), and the only primary power I'm saving till later is ID (concentraing on dealing with speed boost first), this is one terrifyingly fast build, Hasten/SySpeed (going superspeed/Inertial reduction) is quite nasty. Roll on stamina and transference

    Invulnerability

    [ QUOTE ]
My main is a lvl 37 spine/invul scrapper and he kicks his share of evil [censored] but lately i'm getting alot of in-game comments from people about the /invul choice. Why? Why do most scrappers choose /regen as secondary and whats wrong, or seems to be wrong, with /invul? I like it very much. I have some end. problems occasionally but thats it.
I'm looking forward to some replies

    [/ QUOTE ]

Regen these days gets the nod a lot of the time for the reason you describe. With ED, QR is now astonishingly useful, and regen's had its end-use cut to one toggle and a bunch of clicks. That, and Inv's vulnerability to psi, combine to make regen a still-potent combination. I see SR making a comeback when defence scaling slides in, and DA is a little easier these days with the end reduction, so the playing field's a lot more even than it used to be. I have a Dm/Inv though, and endurance is a major stumbling block.

Really thugh, I don't play an Inv scrapper much because my main's an inv tank, and that's quite enough for me. YMMV

Basically, it can be boiled down to:
<ul type="square">[*]No extra end recovery unless you get it in your primary (I think Dark does, or am I smoking something wacky?) [*]Vulnerability to Psi damage means a lot more work in the late game, where everyone and his dog whacks you with it. [*]End Hog. 3 toggles, 3 passives (one of which you are forced to take) and Dull Pain. Don't even get me started on tough hide. Only redeeming feature is that the Oh [censored] power is much much better than Moment of Glory in most situations, oh and Invincibility is kinda neat.[*]End Draining Bad guys are your other foe (so Carnie Ring Mistresses will give you a real bad day) Admittedly, all sets suffer from this, but it feels worse on inv, because you don't have the extra benefit of QR. Oddly, best powerset for those is SR, because if you don't get hit, you don't get sapped.

Enjoy your invulnerability. I know I do But know when to run screaming like a girl [/list]
  18. In other news, may I just say I loathe IE and it's utterly fubarred implementation of CSS?
  19. Aggro management has changed, no doubt about it. With the Aoe limits, the taunt limits and everything else, it's harder for us than it used to be. We adapt, like everything else, but understand that some of the feats you used to ask of us are now more or less impossible, and the rest are a lot harder.

While we're at it, from the tank side, I have a number of gripes about pickup group comments about tanking.

Gideons Tanking "Don't whine to me about..." List

<ul type="square"> [*]AoE's. As much as I'd like to be able to save you, if I'm tanking AoE capable mobs, and you stand next to me, you WILL get hurt. Don't tell me I'm not doing my job if you're in AoE radius of me while I'm working, and you plant. [*]Herding. Sometimes the mobs don't follow you when you aggro them, through whatever means, but stay at range and shoot you from afar. Don't complain when I haven't been able to corral a bunch of attackers who are determined to stay at range into a nice neat nova-able group. The prime example being the Cabal, but there are others. [*]Malta. I am an Inv Tank. A solid hit from a sapper or two will toggle drop me. At that point I am jam, and useless as a tank. Accusing me of cowardice becuase I will not run into a mob which has more than one sapper without some kind of backup with me to take them out is just plain silly. [*]Psi. Unless I am a stone tank, I have problems with Psi Damage. Do not expect me to be able to fend for myself properly against anything that has a massive psi-damage component.[/list]
The bottom line is that I5/I6/ED has put an end to the time when you could just turn the tank loose, concentrate on healing everyone else, and expect the tank to be happy on their own, at least in groups of above 3 or 4. Now we need maintainance just like every other AT. I leave it to the peanut gallery as to wether that's a good thing.
  20. More useful, you mean? Lessee. There are still arguments about whether you need resilience. As a filler, I don't mind it. Rez is a waste of a power, since 95% of the time, when you plant, you'll be in melee range of bad guys, so rez'ing then would be asking for trouble. Beyond that, I don't know, stealth maybe? Although I would take MoG at 38, even though it's not all that good, it stil suffices as an "oh [censored]" power, which you often need right about then.

Oh, and slotting for integration. Many say you don't need endred in int now. For most powersets, I'd agree, but broadsword is a bit of an end hog. Some people put just one in, I use two, and never have end issues beyond the malta sappers. Which is where clicky IH comes in. See, even though it doesn't last long, it's undroppable, and you can't be end-drained out of it.
  21. Lessee.

    1. Don't take slash. Ever. It's kinda awful.

    2. Leadership pool is kinda awful for scrappers too. Bit of a waste, if you ask me.

    3. You want IH as soon as you can get it. 3 recharges is a must. I like 3 heals as well, because it gives you a bit of an edge.

    4. With QR, I think you can safely shunt the fitness pool to 20/22/24, and get Whirling sword in at 18, and either build up or dull pain in much earlier. It's an open debate which would be more helpful early on, tbh.

On the subject of FA, I have more or less the same question.
  22. I for one am staking my claim, and saying that yes, this time, I will be there.

    Fear!
  23. Can we have a letters page? Purely so we can have Eddie Munt wiriting in every issue to complain about what those heroes are doing at his beloved statue
