  1. Sara doesn't. She was revolted enough by what happened when she was under the Tiamat virus to not kill ever again. She got close with the whole cross-dmensional Mina-hurting Hannah close, but since then, she's learnt more control. Even when she was effectively demloshing Tsoo parlours to get Mina back, she didn't kill anyone. To paraphrase Firefly "thou shalt not kill" is a little fuzzy on the matter of kneecaps.

Damia tries not to. She's got very good at disabling strokes with that sword of hers, and she goes all out against her usual prey (Spirits, demons, creatures, things like that) but if it's really necessary, she will.

Sylpheed doesn't. Her energy projection systems are tuneable, so her blasts are disabling versus most targets. it's a reaction to the fact of her original creation, and her current self-awareness and "new life."
  2. The GoD also don't generally kill, and make a point of the fact. Of course, like everything else in the GoD, this is only partly ethics, but also because Mina can see dead people and the fewer we cause, the better. Yes, we are slaves to her neuroses.

That said, we have had some rather cool RP out of it...
  3. Hey, I check our forums.

    But then I run them.

  5. Whereas come and join the GoD, and assuming you get in, you'll be a martyr to whatever's breaking Mina this week
  6. This is my putative I7 Claw/Flexes scrapper build for a comparison.

    Teenage heroes

Hmm. Sylpheeds apparent physical age is about 17, but since she's actually an android she doesn't tend to act very teenagerly sometimes. She can, though. Everyone else is early to late 20's. Except Foldspace. Her age is... meaningless.

Oh, forgot Josie, my robot mastermind. She's actually about 18, but not at GG so its kind of irrelevant.

I never got involved in the teen-phase. I can only imagine this was a good thing.
  8. [ QUOTE ]
CoH is a terrible game for characters getting too much power. Almost by their nature, CoH players have a tendency to create over-powered, Godlike characters. There are a very large number of them around GG.

Don't know what you mean guvnor *looks shifty and hides the indestructible girl behind a tree*
  9. As far as I know, it's the standard TF's (Positron, Synapse, Sister Psyche, Citadel, Manticore, Namina,) and not any of the others. Since the only character I have who qualifies for it has also done Croatoa and Hess (and Moonfire, but before we got the badge for it) I can't say exactly if any of the others are needed. Do the main 6, and work from there.
  10. There are really very few wrong ways to build a kheldian. if human/dwarf floats your boat, then it can work.
  11. Not that she ever needed much help *grin*

    Nice one

    Dear lord, no.

    That's just... well...

    My brain is melting
  13. So AS is a viable replacement for propel? Working on a very conceptual build, and, like the poster earlier, a melee strike works better from the concept point of view than throwing a fork-lift.
  14. With traps, I'd imagine it's less critical to have the leadership powers, with the assorted debuff toys.

    Kin/Dark?

Seeing as this is a kin/dark kinda thread, couple of questions for the multitudes (going towards using my I7 freespec to get my build right,) mostly about the secondary.

First off, which would be more useful to me, gloom or moonbeam? I like having the snipe option, but it is limiting to have only one normal-use attack in my arsenal. I can probably get gloom into the build later on, but am I better of having gloom there as an early starter?

Dark Pit: yay or nay? I picked it based on the advice of some guides that reckon it's very good against crowds of minions. Well, it is, ish, but so far, it just feels like a waste of a power slot, it hasn't really helped me any. Avoid like the plague?

People who use TT seem to be split equally between slotting it for damage and slotting it for debuff and immob. relative merits thereof?

Life drain seems to be another one that people warn me to avoid, is it as bad as they make out?

I suppose the only real kinetics question I have is to get your opinion on whether going 2acc/2whatever/2recharge is any more or less efficient that going 2acc/3whatever/1 recharge in transfusion and transference (with Hasten and SySpeed going off, I might add)
  16. I'll be there, provided I can get everything else sorted.
  17. Well, I was going to be there. Doesn't look like it's going to happen, however.
  18. the only other real difference is the different damage type, which can cause issues depending on which enemies you fight.
  19. Felicitious Decanting Day, to the Doc.
  20. ...and got themselves to 50.

Congrats and Stuff Birdy, Aisla. Glad to have you with us

    Molok Dingd 50!

    Nice one, Molok. Well deserved
  22. Random Warshade Question.

Gravity Well. I'll be picking it up next level, and am told it's pretty darn good. Everyone describes it as a great hold, etc.

On the power list in-game, the popup text on Gravity Well claims it's "Foe immobilise" rather than hold. Can someone reassure me that this is a bug, and I'm picking up a hold rather than another godawful immob?
