Quote:Agreed. After we came back from first watching it in the theater and posting our impressions on various forums we were on at the time, my fiancee and I both agreed the rave/ cave dance was way too long and distracted from the story....The 2nd Matrix flick I fast forward through the cave dancing thing.....I feel that this is just a waste of time and really shouldnt be in the movie in the first place. just my opinion....

I know there's something wrong with them because a couple of times I have seen one citizen walk up to another and say
"String"
and the other replies
"String"
I mentioned this before, it's not $string or textstring or anything indicating it's missing code, just string.
Either it's a code word I don't know, some illicit trade is being bartered about that I want no part of, or Praetorian citizens are a couple of McNuggets short a Happy Meal. -
Quote:Hey, I'm just a comic book writer. Now, the person TALKING to the fictional character...that's who I have my doubts about...
To quote another of my favorites:
Quote:When life itself seems lunatic, who knows where madness lies? To surrender dreams - -this may be madness; to seek treasure where there is only trash. Too much sanity may be madness! But maddest of all - -to see life as it is and not as it should be.

On the off chance:
I noticed the system has 2 gigs of memory and 2 gigs of paging file.
Could the fact it's running Windows 7 with only 2 gigs of RAM cause the lockup? Add Windows 7 to CoX running at such a high setting and not many comps with that RAM will take well to it. -
I do think, in most MMOs, the number of casual players outweighs the number of hardcore players.
If you look at it like Chess or Scrabble or Monopoly, most of us know the rules to those games and we could jump in and play one of those games at any time, but we don't play it all the time. But there are those people who do play those games all the time. They're the hardcore of those games.
Defining what makes a casual player in an MMO is very hard to do.
Solo does not mean casual. Teaming does not mean hardcore. If solo meant casual than we wouldn't see the solo players taking down TFs/SFs and we wouldn't see people complaining that TF is too hard because "we didn't have enough control!"
It's a fluid definition and everyone has their own terms for what it all means. -
I really enjoy 'Nikita' and 'Human Target.' I enjoy 'Outsourced' because it has funny moments, that being said, I watch 'The Cape,' 'No Ordinary Family,' and 'The Event' but they are just shows I watch, and not any way endeared to.
I watch 'The Cape' for one simple reason. Summer is on it. She seems to be jinxed when it comes to episodic television, but I think she's gorgeous, and if given the chance with a great script and a good director, she could become a movie star in her own right.
I watch 'No Ordinary Family' because of Michael Chiklis and Julie Benz. I loved 'The Shield' and I still love 'Dexter' and I like these two as actors. They'll find other work.
I watch 'The Event' because I want to see what happens. Not as in 'Lost" I *HAVE* to see what happens, just because I want to. The characters are meh, and as many good actors as they have on that show, I wouldn't miss it if it was gone.
I do agree that 'Supernatural' is a cash cow for CW, and I truly love the show, I've been a fan since episode one, but it's about time for the boys to have one final happy ending and give up the hunt for good. -
Welcome back!
A ton has changed just in the 3 and a half years I've been playing. -
Heh, ironically, about a year ago Ana and I had "a Nemesis plot" and "not a Nemesis plot" level-pacted on Freedom. She ended up not liking her character, and I didn't want the reference to myself so I deleted mine as well.
-
Not me. I've been sick all week and haven't done more than check the forums, facebook and watch a little tv.

But of course, a good author can create a character totally unlike him or herself and make them seem real as well, just like a good actor can make a character his own, regardless if they're like the character or a dynamic opposite.

Quote:From the podcast I heard yesterday, it seems Troy wrote TG with the point of view that she may indeed be a functional schizophrenic, but we see the world through her eyes and thoughts and filters. Which is of course to her, the normal world.I have a friend who suffers from clinicial schizophrenia and so I find myself relating to TG from a very different perspective than you may've intended...
I did a lot of research on paranoia and schizophrenia when coming up with a character for what I'm currently working on (and have been for 6 years) and I can see a lot of what I learned about it in TG as well.
I haven't seen it posted but the Fanboy vs Fanboy postcast with "Dan Hickman" is http://www.tfradio.net/storage/podca...er/hickman.htm -

Sewers for me as well.
The reactions from the team were a mixed bag of everything from "Ah, crap!" to "What's this thing? FACEPLANT" -
Yeah same here. I was logged out when I opened the forums this morning, so I didn't think to log back out and back in.
I'll try that. -
Not sure where you live, but the local Rite-Aid in Cornelia, GA (which is not a huge town by any stretch) sells the $20 time cards with jetpack as well.

The whole "almond-shaped eyes" thing is pretty new in fantasy-fiction as a whole, I believe.
I don't ever recall reading a thing about that eye shape till Dragonlance came out, and only after Laurana was introduced.
And elves went from tall, to short and then back to tall as well. -
Please note I never said I liked Red: Werewolf Hunter, I just said she starred in it.
I barely made it through that film. -

Nothing as annoying as trying to slot your enhancements when someone is waiting on you and you have to wait for that "Combined" or "Failed" to pop up.
It adds up fast when you're doing multiple enhancements. Sometimes I just want to scream at the game "No whammies! No whammies!" cause it feels like the worst game show ever.
