I'm not criticizing this statement because I really have no clue what I am talking about and this is a genuine question but what are the level 51-53 Hami-Os that have been selling on the Auction House? I always assumed that they were 50+ and WW simply called them 51 and 52 etc.

Quote:I think this is quite a dream you are expressing here.If farms were removed, we could start trying to change public perception of AE from the current Monty Haul wonderland to a source of new content. Then, maybe, we might see more traffic.
If farms stay, there's no hope. Story arcs are lost in the noise and no one is even looking for them because they don't even think in those terms. This is why a "farm" or "story arc" tag is not going to help.
The truth is, of all the people I have ever played with in CoH, I only know of two that have bothered reading any of the content in the Dev created arcs. People just don't tend to care about the stories. I don't see what you can do that the Devs can't to make people care about yours. -
It is part of the incentive to subscribe, the non-VIP servers get taken down at random times.

Here is a brief summary of what I am noticing.
Due to this change the xp/sec is pretty much exactly where it was, due to using SR instead of regen, the mobs die faster and they travel to you faster. This counters the extra time spent going in and out of the mish.
My ticket gains have doubled which is nice.
The fun factor however, has plummeted - it just doesn't seem as fun without the rezzes... -
Quote:Actually, from my testing it seems to increase both. We should have been doing this a long time ago. This slows down not onlys ticket gain, slightly, but also how quickly you can PL someone.
Without the regen, one footstomp and one tick of a damage aura is enough to kill the minions, TTK has gone down significantly. -
I just updated my mobs to SR instead of Regen, I never realized it before but the tiny amount of Regen they had previously gave them quit a significant amount of survivability. The mobs are dying a noticeable amount faster now.

Quote:That is pure gold!

But you get the same xp either way, you do lose a little time in entering and exiting the mish for a second time but that time is very marginal at best.

Why is it that people call "Farmer Doom" after every little change made?
Aren't you getting bored of that yet?
The only difference this makes is the fact farms take half as long for half the rewards. That equates to a net loss of no time and no xp, what it does do differently is it doubles your ticket gains when powerlevelling which is obviously a very favourable result.
The main drawback from this change is the fact a lot of the creators of the old farms no longer play the game, those farms are now useless and are going to bog up AE needlessly and I for one am sick of the story writer's crying over AE being bogged up like that. Even with the extra tickets generated, the change isn't worth more tears from them.
Also, the extra server strain from loading double the maps could prove to be problematic. Only time will tell. -
Having a higher level cap isn't increasing the end game content, it is increasing the grind to get there...
Increasing the grind is a great thing when it comes to the company's finances but it isn't something the players should want.
Having said that, the end game content isn't very extreme. We have incarnate trials and hugely unsupported PVP and badging I guess.
If you are looking for end game content, find an mmo that focuses on PVP, it is literally the only way to ensure you have a limitless supply of content. -
Mr Crab does far more aoe damage than my Widow. I have no numbers but I think the main number you need to consider is -20% resist and -40% toxic resist from Venom Grenade. Looking at my builds that is pretty much the deciding factor in AOE potential (Other than the pets). Of course my characters don't compel well because I was stupid enough to take the very lackluster Psionic Tornado on my Widow...

"Farmer looking for work, offering 5 runs for any of the items on my wishlist"
If you don't want to see the above, you don't want this change - it turns everyone into a RMT. -
If you want to be dead a lot and have your teams talking about you behind your back, roll a tank. SR are the squishiest of the tanks and need some serious support to stay alive but your team won't care - they will see the Tanker icon and send you out to your death over and over anyway.
If you have a lot of friends with a lot of nice Buffs, go a Brute - with higher res and damage caps, they are the AT of choice in optimal situations.
If you don't expect a lot of support, roll a Scrapper. In a situation where a Brute's higher resistance cap doesn't matter or they have no significant amount of regen, I think a Scrapper is more survivable. They trade a few HPs for quite a bit more damage - the mobs being dead faster offers more mitigation than a few more HPs imo.
If you are willing to part with some real life cash and are hopeful the AT specific IOs will remain as we have seen, roll a Stalker. As long as they get their hands on those IOs in their current state, they are to a Scrapper what a Scrapper is to a Brute. Without those IOs, just don't roll one unless you like the hit and run/die playstyle. -
They said specifically that the level pacts were going to be normal until the headstart was over and even after it is over, any already existing level pacts would continue to function as they had previously.
This is most definitely a bug. -

Not entirely sure this new issue is actually related to the memory leak.
I just bought myself more Ram in the hopes of fixing it but it isn't helping at all. I just crashed without going over 19% Ram usage... -
The respawns were actually plenty fast on Beta, they seem to have nerfed it for live.
I o agree with the sentiment though, spending an hour to complete a street hunt of 5 mobs is insane. -
You tried to purchase something that you already owned.

Hmmm, I don't have these...
I bought the GR collection and only got the Jump Pack. -
It doesn't shut off passives.
The rocket Board isn't particularly useful for a significant part of the game but it is damn fun. I have been flying around with nowhere to go and loving every second of it. People often seem to forget that games are designed for fun...
As a side note, the Rocket Board is the only power that works in those new lowbie missions that make you walk in, click something and walk out. It speeds that process up a few seconds and those few seconds feel like much much more than they are - I am sure we all equally despise being forced to crawl through there at snail pace. -
Um Snakes are poisonous.
They can't venom you, they can poison you. The term Poisonous is derived from the verb: to Poison, not the noun.
They poison you with venom, they don't venom you with venom. -
Is this sarcasm?
If you are getting more salvage and recipes, that is a good thing is it not? If you don't want more salvage and recipes just let your storage cap out and not bother emptying it...
