  1. Hibernate is NOT fixed for Controllers or Tankers. Though it now has a graphic effect assigned to it, it is using the Ice Control's hold FX.

  2. I'm in exactly the same boat, and have been for some time now. I wasn't aware that Creative cards were front-loaded, but that explains a lot. I've never had really true 5.1 surround sound with the Creative card (despite the supposed capability to support it), and CoH just makes the matter worse.

    I can't say I have any solutions for you, but I will definitely lurk here for someone that does... and let you know if I find anything.

    Actually, not really... people like AC who only complain (especially without anything constructive to add) get put on ignore. The AC crowd can't keep anyone honest when people just stop listening.

    Castle, if this is true, then the patch note is an outright lie. The patch note claims:

    If this change was instead to correct LS, VS, and the turret becoming too powerful, it would have been much better if you had just come out and said so. It would also have been nice if we had been notified that this was a bug and that a fix would be implemented when it could. Instead we were lead to believe that this was intended behaviour and slotted accordingly.

    I am extremely unhappy with the change. But appreciate your forthrightness. LS, VS, and the Turret became too powerful and now been nerfed. This happens to fix some other pet's AIs as well.

    Castle already stated that the patch note explanation was ONE of the reasons for the change. I'd advise keeping that in mind before jumping to the "outright lie" accusation. He also already mentioned that the bug/exploit wasn't even on their radar until recently. Even if it had been long-standing, the devs have never been in a habit of pointing out exploitative behavior before it has been fixed, why would they start now?

    Granted, I would love to see a slight buff to LS, VS and the Turret to offset their unbuffability (new word!), but really don't see how normalizing a power to remove their OP'd nature is a nerf.

    This is interesting. I'm going to be VERY curious to see how the system tests for whether a mission is beatable or not.

    Will it test based on, say, the number of AVs present? Their powers bestowed by the architect? The relatively balance of a custom mob's power? I hadn't really planned on creating anything so challenging that this might come into play, I'm just hoping the checks aren't TOO stringent.

    Would the LRSF pass the MA's test, I wonder?

    What about 5 AV's, all BS/Shields, all spamming Parry, all with Grant Cover? (oh, and the bosses were all FF defenders)

    I can't wait to get in there and see what "unbeatable" really means.

    They can read and edit, but will not be able to test or publish until the arc is valid for that account.

  13. Ah, I'd forgotten about that particular screen shot. I was curious what the "contact type" and "contact category" meant. If we can create our own contacts, how will we place them, I wonder?

  15. My understanding is that the only way to run MA content will be to go to the AE buildings. Will there be a SG-base interface?

    Was I completely mistaken in remembering that we were going to be able to create our own contacts for our arcs? This seemed like an ambitious idea, but one I really had hoped to see.

    Again, amazing update, this issue looks to be pure, gold-plated win!

    You lumped Swift and Hurdle into one tier, which is not the case.

    1: Swift
    2: Hurdle
    3: Health
    4: Stamina

    My understanding is that the tier-4s will still require level 20 and 2 previous powers in the pool to unlock them. Your earlier example of taking team teleport without any pre-reqs is not (or should not) be possible.

    To clarify, this means that the first [u]three[u] tiers of each travel pool will be available at level 6, correct?
