Hello all,
For those of you that do remember, I do intro retellings and short stories about CoX characters by request. I'm in the mood to do some writing and I would like some people to give me thier toons if they are willing to write a piece about in my own words.
I am going to accept at most 3 at a time since I am busy with college. However I have been having ideas for stories lately that I was wondering if you guys would be interested in having done about one of your characters.
In the theme of Valentines Day, the central theme of the next few stories is romance, love, and true devotion. If you would like your toon in one, please specify which one.
A. A hero finds romance in the line of duty, most likely a teammate, and the story will entail the budding love.
B. A look into the hero/villains mind over a one dear to him that is no longer with them. Not necessarily death and not necessarily a lover, perhaps a child or a parent. Or perhaps the dear one has gone rogue but the hero still believes they will return to the light when all is done
C. This is one I expect no one to choose. The ultimate sacrifice. A hero, to save a dear one to him, will take the greatest of his courage to save a lover, a dear freind, or a mentor/sidekick. I do not expect anyone to do this one and I can even do a "I'm alright or at least I will be back soon" thing.
If anyone is interested in having their character in one of my stories please let me know. You can also check out my previous work for Starwind and Pyro Nympho on my DA account (GeneralKnowledge naturally)
Cheers and see you around.
GK
Edit: this is completely free btw, I don't ever plan to do this for money, just to share my work with people like you guys. -

What is wrong with you people, almost an entire day and no one makes this post? Unless the calendar lied to me it's somebody's birthday.
Happy Birthday Frost. Are you ready to party?

Goodbye Foo, remember to spring for the better versions of stuff, like high class courtesans and escorts instead of the cheap ones down that one street. Though seriously, do take care.

Quote:I guess I might as well let a little piece of my metal nerd out.The hell?! Not only are his shoulderpads goofy huge, but he also carries his chair around strapped to his back?! Okay, that's somewhere between insane and Ottoman Empire manly.
Or maybe he's fighting while sitting down. All the flames and the cloak make it hard to tell.
The knight in blue on the left is Hector, the Hammerfall mascot. Think Eddie from Iron Maiden. He's the protagonist in the situation on the album and he's fighting the odd looking guy on the left god knows why.
Also, since I'm in a Hammerfall mood, I give Natural High. Looking at that music video and several of their album covers are the reason I want more options than just the warhammer for medieval hammer type weapons.
P.S. We need that viking/medieval zone pronto. Devs get on that. -

Quote:Have I mentioned I am furious right now with this australian censorship thing? Swanzy and all the other Aussies deserve to look at porn and play violent video games just as freely as everyone else.Once, again I find myself adrift in a sea of "Your fetish is not okay."
People are horrible, stupid and ignorant creatures. You must accept this in order to live comfortably in this world. For example:

Quote:Oh no, we are not going down that road again! I will post a video of me doing a non-evil Mr. Rogers impression in the middle of downtown Denver before I let this place be sonic passion.
Seriously, Foo that is funny but requires nine gallons of brain bleach after reading. -
So, I have a new scrapper I absolutely love, but I'm having trouble with costumes and writing a bio. I have a concept and a original costume that is decent but after that I need to pick some brains.
The hero is a Claws/WP scrapper named Apache Avenger. The concept I was going for was a U.S. commando who uses a combination of physical combat training and very minor gadgets along with Native American mysticism to become a sharpened hand to hand warrior. Costumes I was looking for were a combination of a commando-ish look and a Native American look (if that is possible).
Any help I could get in this department would be great. this is purely for cosmetic look since I am not a RPer but I like to give my characters a backstory.
Thanks for the help.
P.S. I know we have a costume re-design thread but I needed help on both accounts so I was unsure whether this constituted the same merit. -
Much better EnnVee, and actually very well written. Only thing I have is a grammar nitpick.

Sorry, can't resist this golden chance.
Turn your head and cough sir

What has been said before. Set a backdrop of some sort. Also, personally, no explanation of how she knows the monks will react nastily is making me question why the heck the girl is not just being paranoid. Also, monks and monastery is a very broad term. Are you referring to the monks you would find in a temple high in the himalayas heading more towards eastern ideas, some kind of european type hidden in the alps, or something of your own design. Just elaborate on these things and your bio should turn out great.
P.S. Ennvee I personally believe it would help you get more words correctly spelled if you wrote it down in a word processor first such as office. Then copy and pasted it into the bio screen. Not to sound like a jerk but on numerous occasions I've seen you with spelling errors in your bios. It's perfectly fine as everyone I know has trouble with spelling sometimes. Mostly this is to avoid the grammar nazis. -
Is it bad I find that outfit sexy? aside from the bloodstains and eyes that is really appealing to my bad side
Regardless that is an awesome piece Johnnykat. -

Okay, I know this was posted in it's own thread a while back, but seeing as it became my new avatar and a great piece, I thought it fitting to put in the Cashoo artz thread. Also I feel this a way to better give Cashoo credit for this.
A gift piece to EnnVee, from me, done by Cashoo out of the kindness of her zombie heart.
I love this piece and the details on the faces tug at my heartstrings each time I see it. a great addition to what is now the Cashoo art thread. -
Got one typed up for you Wassy if you want it. It's about a superhero named Mr. Awesome stopping a bank robbery by Boris McNasty. Very short. If you want to see it or like it let me know.
-
Wassy, I can try my best. Short stories are naturally what I do but they're usually for slightly older audiences, but I can give it a shot. How would you feel about one about superheroes? This is City of Heroes after all.
-
Happy Birthday Wassy,
I got you the best gift of all: wackiness, cartoon violence, and a clown.
(okay it's not entirely birthday related, but I'm trying to not repeat myself)
Happy B-day again Wassy. -
Scooter you got any Hammerfall? Preferrably off the Albums Crimson Thunder or Chapter V: Unbent Unbwed Unbroken. However really any of it will do.
P.S. Raise your hand if you know who these guys are. -
-
okay, very well, as proof that now I am in my new place and I'm gonna continue to touch base, I changed the weather for you guys.
-
Awe geez guys I'm touched. However, and I might be partly to blame with the way I phrased my post, you're making it sound like I'm going away for a very long time. If you think you guys are going to be rid of me simply because I moved to a college campus you can forget it. I just might be a little less frequent of a visitor. I'm gonna do my best to stay around here at least a little bit, but don't expect me to log in every night. heck the only reason I'm logged in right now is because everything else, my TV, my keyboard and mouse, has been packed for the move tomorrow and I'm in a somewhat barren room with a laptop connected to Wi-Fi.
Do I have to bust out my craziness on youtube to convince you I'm gonna stay in touch and semi online? Cause I will. -
I dunno entirely why I'm writing this, I have no art to give and I haven't ahd a story written in about a month. I guess this is a letter/real life tale to kinda thank the community. If you don't wanna hear another one of my sappy stories (this one is more about the entire community than EnnVee) than I suggest you go elsewhere.
Alright, well without further interruptions, the story.
I began playing City of to deal with my social inadequacies involving my Asperger Syndrome and Bipolar Disorder, that helped for a while, then I met EnnVee last year, and she started to help me with other problems, the chief ones being realizing who I really am, coming to terms with my homosexuality, and finally standing up to my folks to allow me to move out. I have told this story many times to all of you, but this is where it shifts this time.
The day has finally come. As of this Friday I will be living on my own at the University of Colorado Denver campus pursuing an anthropology degree and also an undeclared minor. I may not have as much time as I have had to post and play with you guys, perhaps not at all before long (I doubt the latter). So while I have the time I would like to express my sentiments for this art community.
I first started lurking around these boards last summer, oohing and ahhing at all the pretty art and getting interested in this great community you have created. I started posting and soon became enveloped in all the great new freinds I had made. I also became overwhelmed by your amazing generosity.
When my birthday came around last summer, though you guys hardly knew me, EnnVee relayed my story and how I wanted some art but I had no money. I was blessed by two great art pieces, one by Eddy Swan and one by Foo. To that, though you two may not remember, I will never forget your genrosity to practically a stranger.
I also started meeting a lot of people I considered great people to joke around and have fun with, which lives on to this day in Hero Studios and Rogues Gallery. Bayani, Jophiel, ChristopherRobin, Vexxa, Frost, Swanzy, Pyro, Starwind, and probably the rest of the art forum as well. I have enjoyed yukking it up with all of you guys and thanks for putting up with my shenanigans and in general being great people.
I have enjoyed the company of all you guys and I wanted to say thanks for the great times just in case of the unlikely event that I get too busy to post. I have recieved so many great things from you guys. I know for a fact that your encouragement on my writing has definitely helped my confidence in my ability and I think I'll start to feed my writing side in the hopes I can be as good at writing as you guys are at drawing. That has meant a lot to me.
So in wrapping of this multi-tangent ramble, Thanks for the good times and here's hoping the move will mean good things in my real life, but that I can still continue to see all my great freinds here. I do know I'll probably be not much more than lurking for the next few days. See you guys hopefully in Denver.
Thanks for everything.

One of these days you will play RuPaul for me.
