  1. The cottage rule needs to go far, far away.

It didn't always exist, you know. In the beginning, Gravity's final power was a high endurance costing, interruptible Assemble the Team. It was changed to Singularity to bring the set more in line with other control sets. It was a vast improvement.

The devs need to allow themselves the freedom to change the game for the better. The players will adapt just as we always have.

Edit: Actually, the last power was Wormhole. Fold Space was the level 26 power. Per Paragon Wiki.

    Ice/Ice Brutes?

I want ice for brutes so badly. It would be beautiful.

But Masterminds are ever so well loved for Barracuda!

I just wish we could find a better way for control to work against hard targets (AVs, GMs, PToD EBs, etc.). Having your primary shut down is no fun for anyone.

Hardened Resistance Commandos have a trick up their sleeve: they cannot be Controlled, so they must be taken down as quickly as possible.
Because what dominators and controllers need is to be further marginalized by high-end content.

On the subject of solo advancement:
I'm a hard-core soloer. I team very very rarely, because I just plain don't like teaming. The devs are giving us exactly what we asked for last week. We now have a way to acquire everything needed for Incarnate advancement solo. We whined all last week about how we wanted a way, any way, even if it was painfully slow.

We got that. We even got one better. We will be able to get shards while exemplared in I20. That's huge! That's awesome!

Anyone who is still complaining at this stage is just as self-entitled as the teamers were saying we were last week.
  5. For me, the skin color doesn't seem to be translating into the Animal and Monstrous Fur options. Even with a dark grey skin tone selected, the skin shown with the fur is light peach/pink.

Edit: This seems to be a common issue with white fur. I'll be quiet now.
  6. If you're teaming with a Dark Miasma character, please do die with the group. Take a friend with you. We love multi-rezzing.
  7. Turning off water effects completely fixed the contact crash for me.

I also have the long loading times. I sent my system info along to support, so hopefully they can track it down soon.

    Double exp

Much of the point of Double XP weekends is to gather as many players concurrently as possible, so marketing has pretty numbers to show investors, board members, etc. Thusly, I find it unlikely they would discourage those inflated numbers.
  9. Tech support suggested I turn off water effects, which seems to have fixed the issue for now.
  10. I had the same thing happen to me a very long time ago.

I was on a blaster at the time, in case archetype helps track down the bug. I was solo, but there were several other people in Icon. Maybe that has some effect.

Ah. Guess I wasn't paying attention at the end.

You can either post it here, since this thread is one created by the devs for such discussion, or you can make a new post in the Suggestions area.
  13. Altering the registry did not fix the issue for me. I've been talking to tech support via e-mail for a few days without much result.

Out of curiosity, are you guys seeing this more often on a particular character or side? This has made my villain Widow completely unplayable since I crash every time I open her contacts list, but my hero Bane Spider crashes very rarely.
  14. I think what happens to the artifact is influenced by your origin. For instance, my magic character recently did the arc and it solidified into a magical symbol. I don't remember any poofing.
  15. I asked Jay a long time ago if we could ever have skirts with monstrous legs. He said it would cause nasty clipping. I imagine the same goes for kilts.
  16. Pre-hotfix, I had the game not remember I had switched off my travel power after zoning into a mission. I kept losing endurance faster than normal till I checked and had to turn it off again. You could check that.

Going to tackle the usual culprits - the machine's well maintained, drivers fairly recent and working fine but I'll look there anyway, just has not done this before, period.

I crashed consistently every time I attempted to open a mission in the 30-34 range in Ouroboros. Shutting off the Geometry Buffer option in Ultra Mode settings seems to have fixed it.
  18. Sister Psyche was a no-show for me, too. I was rather put out, since Malaise was the only one my MA/SR scrapper actually had trouble with.
  19. For instance, I know of a gamer who has had both arms amputated. He used a stylus held in his mouth to input commands. Solo, he could play a robust archetype and survive on his own fairly well even with the necessarily slow reaction time. He would never be able to keep up with a group.
  20. And then my hard drive died.

    /em grief
  21. When planning for the second half of the alpha slot and beyond, please keep in mind that there are players for whom teaming is difficult due to physical limitations. I realize that these are the minority. However, hearing that they don't deserve the rewards of the end game because of their disabilities is very hurtful.
  22. I've been having some health issues and thought I'd be stuck in bed all weekend. The ER doc gave me the all clear to sit at the computer, though. Whoohoo!

I'll be getting my brute to fifty after all. I may even have time to get my Warshade a few levels.
  23. What about the effect of Fury on damage auras? Is that added area damage enough to make a large difference for those set that have a damage aura and can be both scrappers and brutes (Dark, Electric, and Fire Armors)?
  24. The other night there was a level 20 Frostling in the Loyalist Lounge in Nova Praetoria. My poor newbie loyalist got squished a few times trying to get to the contact there.

Since player powers are disabled in the loyalist lounge, I wasn't even able to log on to a higher level character and kill it. Eventually, I teamed with one of my husband's characters so it would be deep grey to me.

I finally got a GM response in my e-mail box about 11am the next day, 14 hours or so after the petition. It said the Frostling was gone now.
  25. There's a nifty cave behind a waterfall in the Primeva area of Nerva Archipelago. When I was there last to collect the exploration badge, there was a couple in there doing adult things. I skittered out of there quickly. Of course, that's not terribly uncommon on Virtue.
