The only thing I like in this booster is the trail aura. I was trying to make it look like blood like sum people already did here. One could make pseudo gore if there was an ability to turn on aura when enemy drops to 25% HP or something lol. This is what it looks like.

Oh yeah, what happened to CoH advertisements anyway? Alternatively, what happned to in-game ads? lol

Quote:Lol, imo the best one so far. Wish they actually came out with real backpacks instead. I'm pretty sure if it ever happens it will be a part of another booster, not an actual "free" update.Playing around, making an explorer/space airship sort of guy...
Trying to go for a closed helmet look gave me this rather menacing character...
I'll admit that I'm not a huge fan of the steampunk guns since they just seem pointless. They already had working guns in that era, after all. Hopefully they'll eventually make them tintable since, ironically, they'd make better pulp 50's Sci-Fi blasters than they do steampunk firearms if only you could color them something besides gray and brown. -
Looks ok, but still not going to buy it.

Only incarnate fx I have problem with is pyronic. I run the game on laptop, because I travel a lot, but I run the game on 1680x1050 with x8 AA (mobility video card) and ultra settings set to high and the game runs smoothly. I may get less FPS on CoV outdoor maps, but it's hardly something that would bother me or something my eye can notice, overall the game runs very well. I get some fps drops when there's a lot of AOE and FX on BAF, but even on small team pyronic always drops my fps drasticly for few seconds.

Yeah, Jibikao pretty much explained it.
As for pets, crab can still function well without pets. My crab had no pets and it didn't slow the character down one bit. The small bots are OK, but I have a big disliking for the 2 bigger bots, since they get wrecked in an instant.
Edit: Also I remember someone saying that the channelgun (if I remember correctly) is inferior to the burst. I can't verify though. -
Do you mean a build with both soldier and crab attacks or two separate builds, a full soldier build and a full crab build?
I've seen people with soldier and crab powers and it seems to be working well, I would personally just take heavy burst and the burst powers from soldier pool.
As for having 2 separate builds, I don't see why. One of the reasons people play soldier builds is to avoid having the legs on your back, which will happen if one of your builds is a crab. Like people say, if you have the legs, you might as well go for the crab.
I've played a crab and my most used character at the moment is a soldier, but I don't think soldier does anything that much better than crab. In my experience Crab is more sturdier, but soldier gets cloack and exectioners strike (or bayonet critical.) So I would say that soldier has slightly higher ST damage than a crab. The crab and soldier have a big AOE potential though. The soldier build also cycles through attacks pretty fast, but you have to take redraw into the account, especially if you take BU.
When comparing to a normal bane build though, I would say huntsman/soldier/gunbane is better or at least more enjoyable build.
Edit: As for skippable powers, well depends what kind of build you are talking about. The only powers which I wouldn't take on soldier build no matter what are Call Reinforcements and the passive +acc power. -
Good job guys, you made me buy my first Booster. The reasons were the discount and the current exchange rate for € to $ which really kicks *** since I get paid in €. So I paid 3 and half € for the booster. Don't spend it all in one place guys, lol.
Edit: Oh yeah, hope there will be more discounts in future. -

I hope they also tweak the updates they did on excisting warehouse maps. I haven't tried without UM, but it's pretty annoying at times.
Oh yeah, I also hope they make those choppers you see on praetoria warehouse maps into mobs. :C -
Ok thanks for the hints, I started leveling my Claws/Wp brute.
So I take that claws doesn't need that much +rech? -
I play CoV exclusively and my most played char is 50+ and I keep running into the same problem. I've cleared all my contacts and done all the new arcs via Ourob. Even if they added a new lvl 50 CoV contact (which is yet to happen) I would breeze through it in 1 hour tops depending on the lenght.
Nowadays I just run newspapers/mayhems/warburg for tips, get 5 of them until I get villain morality mission and claim the V-merit. However I've been thinking if the V-merits are even worth it. I would prolly go rogue, cept I already got 20 of those mfers.
Edit: Oh ya, there's always AE. But AE has no shard drops etc and to be honest (no offence to anyone) I've only found 4 arcs that I enjoy and I've completed at least 100 of them. -
Cool, those maps are like the Arachnos maps from early Cov. I usually run at 30-20 FPS, sometimes 15 if there's too much stuff going on. Just entering those maps drops me to 15 while running UM.

Sup,
I've got a low level Claws/WP brute that I was thinking of starting to level up. However I haven't played claws since issue 4 and I was just wondering if claws are any good on brute later on? Also what other secondaries go with claws? -
Quote:Oh ya, that's tough.
Well, I can "mimic" Widows in a sense... but can't really mimic SoAs. I don't think costume parts are customizable with the arms with those. Been a while since I tried.
Kheldians would be very boring stuck in their forms... but could do a human form of sorts.
Dunno... the Epic ATs really rely on how strongly the community feels about that. I'm open to suggestions.
Widows are pretty easy to make, Banes could be done probably with mace/ninjitsu or something, then gunbanes could be AR/Ninjitsu. Crabs and Nictus are pretty tough though. -

On my gunbane I went for;
Destiny: Rebirth, because I've always wanted a self heal. I figured it'd be good when my character gets through def, because it brings a toon to full health in few seconds. I went for +Heal and +Regen and it's T3. I also took it because everyone else is taking barrier.
Alpha: Musculature, because it's extra damage. T4 with the 45% damage boost.
Judgement: Void, because it's good for cleaning enemies that get too close, because my ranged defense is higher than melee. It has a pretty big radius as well. T3 with extra damage to all foes.
Interface: Reactive, DOT. Again it's extra damage. Going to go for -res as well, T3.
Lore: Warworks, Acu and the Battle orb. I went for this combo, because I don't like attacking pets and the Battle orb cannot be targeted. Sometimes I disband the Acu and just keep the orb, because it heals and gives bubbles, although rarely. -
Ok cool, when is the deadline? I would submit my villain from Freedom, but I'm at work.

TC is on to something here. Personally I don't really think that having those choices add any flavor or immersion into a virtual merit system lol.
I don't think he means the actual crafting, dat stuff is ez, yo. But messing about with IO's and set bonuses is probably a little bit complicated, at least according to my casual player friends. -
What if AE doesn't have the chars powerset?
