Roderik has all the incarnate slots at T4.
I have a feeling that it will be my first and last full-incarnate character. -
Lol.
At first I thought the thread was about spamming macros during cutscenes, which is a fair past time imo.
Me and my friends usually call a vote to kick the people who **** around in the LAM cutscene. If the majority votes "yes", well, too bad.
I wouldn't mind it otherwise, but I have personally failed the trial at least two times because of it. The downtime between trials is annoying enough.
We've received a couple of angry tells because of this approach, but my friends aren't SRS enough to care... -
*Some Cov spoilers...-*
I think the final encounter in RSF was pretty epic.
Last mission of Silver mantis is another epic encounter, even though it isn't very villain-like. Taking on an army of Sky Raiders, watching their base burn towards the end of the mission and defeating their commander makes for one pretty neat encounter.
The last fight against Ajax is also something which I liked. -
Been to few international cons. Plan to go to Comic-con some time, but anywho.
I don't really carry hand sanitizers with me, but then again I hardly ever get sick.
But like said, carry some water on you. I always carry a military canteen or a regular sports water bottle with me, becauase you can keep it attached to your belt or have it in your backpack. It's also easy to fill once it's empty given that you don't mind the chloride taste the water may have.
So basically all I carry is my personal belongings, water bottle and some snack bars, for example cereal bars or just regular sports bars.
Personally I try to avoid eating the commercial food at Cons, because most of the time it is complete crap or junk food that will just get me sick. -

Yeah I'd say night widows as well, but if it has to be a soldier, then I'd say bane.
Funny because I thought of making a predator-themed costume as well, the Surveilance and Cloacking give the branch a pretty Predatory feel. If you can perceive the mace as a predator javelin, you're good to go son. lol -
Cool, they will sacrifice Manticore for signature arcs.
I never liked that dbag anyway lol. Hope you get to kill him yourself and just label it as a "death by a random villain" when it comes to the game lore. -
If I could draw judgement sets from a magic hat, I would like to have;
- A rocket launcher, where your char pulls a rocket launcher and fires it at the enemy group dealing fire and smashing damage. Either one rocket, or make the launcher look like M202A1 and have it fire multiple rockets like those Malta Titans or IDF heavy troopers. Rockets flying left and right Wooosshh!
- Tactical carpet bombing, you pull out an walkie talkie and drop an airstrike on the enemies. Or maybe a missile like those Warburg nukes.
- Orbital satellite laser, you start tapping your wrist console like with the Surveilance power and a laser beam from space incinerates your enemies!
Just to make up few natural/technology themed jugements lol.

Did an all-VEAT BAF and LAM.
At one point we had a small spider army runnin about.
BeepBeep!

Oh so this thread has moved on to a different subject, that's cool.
Personally I would welcome a solo option. I'd still do the trials as usual, given that they still grant the same 2-4 astral merits, drop table and possibly couple empyrean merits per run. However if people want to solo, that's fine by me. I'd probably use the solo option as well when I'm sick of the downtime between trials or none of my friends are online. -
Y'all seen dis?
Edit:
Appearantly, yeah. lol -
Would really like to see how brute version of katana perfoms.

Lol, nice idea.

I was bit disappointed with the level range. I had big hopes to explore the zone and contacts without exemping on my lvl 50, but I guess you can't jump from lvl 20 to 50 like that.
That said, I kinda like the idea of a mutated wasteland with survivors salvaging stuff to survive. It's pretty cool because I think this kind of concept wouldn't work the same way in Paragon City or even Rogue Isles. You got Eden and Boomtown in Paragon City, but those are just single wastelands.
In Praetoria it seems to be completely oppposite, the whole world is a mutated wasteland with only few functioning societies. Kind of like a post-apocalyptic world, which is what I dig. -
Quote:Yeah, pretty much. After the 20s on villian side the enemys are just basicly the same as hero, and honestly I would rather be able to find a team to get through it.
The devs created heroic factions to battle villains, but it seems they forgot these enemy groups when creating the later levels.
What happened to Wyvern, Legacy Chain, Luddities, RIP and Security Guards? The only hero group that made it to the end-game seems to be Longbow. Security Guards and RIP are limited to level 40s if I remember right.
I wish the story arc creators were more bold when designing CoV content. There are some really evil arcs and missions, but then you have contacts like Hardcase.
Even though I enjoy villain side the most, I really dislike this villain vs. villains thing that's going on. A clash with council or malta every now and then is ok, but I think villains should be fighting heroes most of the time.
Edit:
Oh yeah, there's also PPD. However I find the lvl 45+ PPD just uninteresting. Personally I would have had those PB officers as bosses or a part of a story arc. The beat cops, detectives, SWAT and hard suits were ok, even the psi cops, but the PPD peacebringers are just flat out uninteresting imo. The paragon city must have a Peacebringer-o-matic somewhere that can just crap out peacebringers every two seconds.
Personally I would rather be fighting army infantry, tanks and choppers....or just more advanced PPD hardsuits. -
I forgot from my first post that redside also has mayhem missions. Another thing with redside is that the SFs aren't extremely long. I think the longest one is SVSF and that can be done in 40-50 minutes, easily.
I've actually been thinking why CoV isn't as popular as CoH, every now and then.
Back in the day, before GR, I used to think that the ATs were way too different for some people who were already used to the hero AT structure and roles.
Then there's the visual style (plus the number of polygons etc. textures on outdoor maps) which may put people off.
Don't know about the story, because I think an average player doesn't stop to read the mission description or contact dialog (most of the time.) Me and my friends sure as hell don't. lol But then again I don't really know which path an average player would pick if given a blunt choice of Good Or Bad in a video game.
I think after the new smell wore off after launch, people went back to playing CoH side characters and that's where the general population is nowadays and that's where I would probably head as a new player who wanted to be close to a big population of players and learn the game.
At least, that is how I see it.
Of course, now there's GR and vigilantes/rogues running about, jumping between red and blue. -
Lol.
This happend to me one time as well, it was few weeks ago, don't think it was on your team though. If you had a WS in your team, then it might have been me.
Basically went down like you described.
To be honest I was pretty pissed off because ITF by now is one of the easiest lvl 50 TFs. We used to speed run that **** left and right with highest difficulty, yet the ******* old thing had a trick up its sleeve, decided to do a complete 180° and bite me in the ***!! Oh **** !!
Anywho, I was more pissed off at myself. I wanted to try my weaker and newer WS, rather than playing my SOA for 1000th time, which appearantly I should have. The last battle would have been over in an instant.
Edit:
Oh yeah don't feel bad about it. I just shrugged it off after 2 minutes and went to play a different video game. -
Same.
Since the introduction of CoV I don't think I've rolled a single hero. Now with GR I have made a few hero ATs, but they always end up at RI.
I find CoV a lot more compelling than CoH. The zones this noir feel to them, it's a lot more rugged, depressing and darker world and that is what I dig. The arcs are darker and you get to do evil things (for the most part), which is fun as well. I just wish they created more truly villainous content nowadays.
The archetypes were something to get used to though, but again I found them a lot more compelling (especially VEATs) in the end than most hero ATs.
CoV has always been the underdog compared to Coh in player numbers and I can't see things changing.
However, a lot of the truly skilled players I met were on red side, rather than blue. Just a personal observation.
Edit:
As for changes in player numbers, I can't tell, really. I don't know if the numbers have changed due to a recent change in time zone, plus the /sea caps player matches to 50, rather than showing the actual numbers online at the given moment.
Edit2:
Kinda hope they had kept the forum-post-reputation system. Just swap "good reputation" to "hero reputation" and negative points would go towards "villain reputation." lol -
-
Looks kinda like PROTOTYPE 2.
Edit: lol
Edit2:
Seems like in this pic there's a survivor camp or fortress in middle of the building. There's NPCs and stuff.
Also do we know the zone lvl yet? -
I remember couple of times when new (trial) players asked me how to start a team with their trial friends.
Ofc in the end I formed the team for them. lol -
Is the binary aura suppose to have a blurry glow around it? I just want to know, because I think it looks pretty stupid and kinda ruins the aura.
This is a repost from another thread, but here you can see a couple of colors with the binary. Brighter tones have this weird glow/smoke around the character (the white color) , darker tones hide the glow, but then the aura is hardly visible.
Edit:
Here's a link to the official screenshot. -
Quote:Yeah it's ok. I claimed the emote just to see what it looks like. It wasn't worth the merits, it doesn't look special at all or have the comedic value of swoon or collapse. Better off getting the auras. It pales in comparison to collapse or swoon. The character puts his/her hands on their knees, looking at the ground, panting. If I could figure out how to get a decent screen shot off my Macbook, I would post an image of it, as well as some other cool stuff. Really nice stuff from those who have already posted though!
