  1. Is there a location to see all of these?

I have IE 9 installed and the game runs without an issue.

I have only experienced a single crash since installing IE 9 and that only happened when my son was in game running one of the trails and I plugged the USB cord in for my phone to charge off the system and it just locked everything up.
  3. I have yet to see them but I bet that is one of the new Incarnate abilities.
  4. Just looking for a clarification around set bonuses and the new setup for Exemplaring.

I know that if you are more than 3 levels below the IO level then it doesn't work for granting set bonuses.

With the new way that Exemplaring works where you are say level 40 for Numina's TF but you have the powers of level 45. Your IO's would still have to be level 43 or lower for you to gain set bonuses from them correct?

    Thanks for any clarification.

    • You have to have the Alpha slot unlocked
    • Each character can only receive 1 Notice of the Well a week
    • You cannot have run the WST that week prior to being able to get the Notice (i.e. not been level 50 or had the Alpha unlocked)

I think those are really the only catches.
  6. Seeing as you said you have the first level slotted then you do not have a level shift being applied as of yet.

Also, you said orange con'd so I figure you are at +0 for level.

The best way to test this would be to try running a few of the groups in one of these missions with your alpha slotted and if they are kicking your butt, then unslot the alpha and try the same mobs. If there is something happening then you should be able to tell.

Now most likely it is just a perception thing. Both of the mobs you happened to list hit you with -endurance that can suck you dry and maybe that is what is causing your to be held. Once you run out of blue your Integration drops and you are hold fodder.
  7. The fixing files is the verify that the above poster mentioned. Basically, it found some file slightly different than what it is expecting and is changing it.

Now why the updater takes SSSSOOOO long is a who different discussion.

I understand that, maybe, just maybe, WST is not only about Incarnate; and in fact it may be only a temporary measure to acquire notices of the well until I20 kicks in.

But as of now, Notices of the Well is a key ingredient for level 50s progessing through out the incanate system, and they can only be acquired via the WST.

Now we can play coy all we want, but lets face some obvious observables:

    1. Level 50s progressing in the incarnate system: Needs Notices of the Wells.
    2. Level 50s progressing in the incarnate system: Needs lots of shards, and I mean lots!

Why would a level 50 intent in doing the new incarnate material, have any interest in doing lowbie material?

Again we can play coy in this and come up with some lame excuses, but frankly, there is no good reason to do this from an incarnate progression perspective. Today with my 36 level 50 alts, I have no use for low level material, I need shards, shards, shards, and more shards.

As Wendy said, if we take a level 50 incarnate minded player and force him into Sister, what you think that player is gonna do?

"Duh, lets kill all mobs, because some whinny lowbie wants exp"

No, they are going to device and practice the most expedient way to complete a very boring TF to get the only thing of value from it: Notice of the well.

I have expressed my concern in other threads about mixing 50s with lowbies in TFs, and the week of Sis its going to get very very ugly.

The problem is that 2 very different set of goal minded people are going to collide head to head, I predict lasting enmities between players is going to occur from this.

What are the 2 main set of goal minded people?

The first, the obvious, lowbies using the TF to get exp and level. To these folk, nothing but a kill all mobs would be acceptable, plain an simple.

The second, and just as obvious, are level 50s hunting for Notices. To this folk, doing anything beyond what minimally is needed would be unacceptable.

Now I do point the finger at the developers for being "irresponsible" enough to set a clear situation "Sister TF" where these two frames of mind are guaranteed to collide.

Sheesh, and I thought this game was about having fun...

    Stormy

Ps: Fortunately by the time Sister comes around I would have accumulated sufficient notices, to not need to bother with Sister at all! After all I need to gain lots of shards from 50s content. Frankly, Sister is plainly a 100% waste of time. Incidentally, does Sister drop any decent recipes? Certainly no chance for purples...
WOW! All I can say is pure arrogance on your part to think that they way YOU think things should go are the only way they should be designed.

The WST is not based solely around the Incarnates. If it was then there would not be a need to have the double merits or xp bonus.

Yes the WST is currently the only way to obtain a Notice of the well but it will not be the only way in the future.

If you do not feel that the Sister TF is worth your time then don't run it. Or find a speed team and race through it as fast as possible. It is not that hard of a TF to get through quickly.

As others have pointed out, you will also be getting recipes that are not obtainable when all you do is run level 50 content. That is an offset for not getting purples or shards.

I find running any of the TF's fun and many others do to.

Additionally, having the lower TF's being in the sequence opens up many people to run low characters and help the advance which keep other parts of the game moving forward instead of ONLY the end game content.

I love that they have added more content for end game as I have lots of 50's I still love playing but there is also low level stuff that has been added which many people miss because all the focus is getting shards...shards...shards.

So from my perspective I will be taking advantage of this Sister TF being part of the WST to get lots of merits and leveling up some of my lower characters from that nice xp bonus.

If you do not agree then don't run them. Hopefully, I will not have to have you on my team and deal with someone ranting because they think the devs are out of their mind for putting end content mixed with other content.
  9. I did the exact same thing. I was wondering about it and worried for awhile when someone pointed that out to me.

    It was a *DOH* moment.

  10. Especially when running those lower TF's the Incarnate slotting makes no difference since it deactivates at that level.
  11. First, didn't the TF change to be Khan (or the equivlant on the villain side) today?

Second, if I remember what some people mentioned last week if you run the TF during the week it is the Strike Pack item and you are not qualified for the piece you would still get marked as having run the TF that week and thus ineligible for further rewards from it. Seeing as you would get double XP bonus and double merits you would be considered having been marked as doing the TF.
  12. I have seen this off and on for my main machine and my son has seen it on his account on our laptop.

What is odd is when it gets into the long sequence he will normally just close the program and kick it back off again and it loads up back at the normal speed (no validating files needed either).

I still love the Shard in general but the TF's there do need to be revamped. Just too much running around.

There is so much potential out there.
  14. I would not say that the Weekly strike force is only about Incarnates. And that would be one of the reasons why it will not always be a level 50 TF.

If it was only about Incarnates than why would they give the big boost of XP upon completion for those which are not level 50.

I think it is a good idea that they are going to shuffle around which TF it will be but as someone before mentioned, it will give interesting how those choose ones when you run out of Villain side TF's.

    the game down?

    I had this happen.

I let it go all the way through on the fixing items when I restarted (after restarting my machine because I wasn't sure if it had something to do with the other game I had been playing earlier).

I am now able to get back into the game.
  16. I still find that the proc works great in powers that it works correctly in (like Fissure on my Fire/Kin).

It might not be as great as it use to be but it is still nice and when fighting big groups it normally can kick off every group or so.
  17. As far as I remember it has always just been +10% but if you put it in something like Dark Regeneration, it can hit multiple people and EACH of them gives that chance so it can fire off multiple times in an execution.

So it is actually possible to end up with more endurance than you started with which is great seeing as how Dark Regeneration has a huge endurance cost.
  18. Thank you Muon_Neutrino for giving a very logical reason why I was seeing it firing at times. It makes perfect sense now.

As for lower numbers, the numbers for 5 pieces of Scirroco's Dervish are not bad since it has a chance for as the 6th pieces. Obilit has less Accuracy but more Recharge and the difference in damage is minimual (~1% after ED).

I will work to respec it out now that my question has been answered.

It is too bad that the proc cannot go into FSC. I will most likely move the 5 Scirrco's Dervish to FSC (seeing as I need it for the set defense bonus) and add the Armaggedon's Chance for Fire damage.

Thanks for all the good information.
  19. I saw the +100% increase in the Combat Attributes field. It jumped from 52.5% to 152.5% for a short bit (I didn't time it but figured the short 10 sec span that it gives).

I guess I will be using my respec to shuffle it around.
  20. At first I thought that the Chance for +Recharge from the Force Feedback set wasn't working at all in Shield Charge but right after I was starting to ask the question of some people I saw it fire off. But it really does not seem to be firing off that much when I use Shield Charge. I have never seen it fire off when Hasten was also running (which would be a very wierd bug), and it seems only a few times.

All of this could be just user observation which we all know can be unreliable.

I do know that when I fire off Fissure on my Fire/Kin which also has the proc in groups composed the exact same as what my Fire/SD is fighting, I see it fire off a lot.

Would it be that Shield Charge is only checking against some of the group? (Possibly the smaller radius that has the bigger damage part of Shield Charge?)

I am thinking of swapping the set I have in Shield Charge. I currently have 5 Scirrico's Dervish and the Chance for proc. I would replace it with a full set of Obilteration. I would just basically swap out the sets in my FSC and Shield Charge (minus the Chance for +Recharge since it cannot go in FSC).

Thanks for any clarification people can give me.

True but it would mean being able to easily exploit things if you were of that vet level.

Case in point, would be to create 5 characters and get the merits from them over to another charcter. That right there is 55 merits. That would be 2 straight random rolls with 15 merits left over or add some inf with it and change it to a hero or villain merit then buy the 5 random rolls.

As much as I would like to be able to transfer some of them, it is too easy to exploit.

    MT
The DPS of GC is better than SotW which is why take it. Have purples in GC enables you to 5 slot it with Hecatomb to get up to the +recharge bonus and then leaves an open 6th slot for the Achille's Heel proc -res. Since GC comes up VERY fast you can fire it off a lot and the proc will fire of frequently to help reduce the resistence and up your overall damage.
  23. But if you are exempting below that level then depending on the level our your IO sets you may also be losing many of those.

I am looking at the Alpha slot as nice to have instead of the whole build going around it.
  24. I have not gotten my willpower up high enough yet to get out there but my kat/regen LOVES fighting Rularuu.

    I would recommend that one.
  25. I thought I saw a thread that had a release date for Issue 19 from a Redname in it but I cannot seem to find it.

Has there been any more information around when Issue 19 will be coming out or if it will be giong into open beta even?
