Question: is the buildup chance proc worth it?

    [/ QUOTE ]
Not in my opinion. It only lasts five seconds, so it'll only boost two or maybe three attacks before wearing off.

For Lucy, I suggest this. It focuses on area damage, and it has 27% ranged defense so it should be able to handle the aggro that massive area damage gets you.

    Jelly Beans

There are people who don't know about Jelly Belly? We truely needed this post.
  3. Why are you using different sets in dark blast and gloom? Won't the slotting you prefer work best in both?
You should avoid using luck of the gambler if you're on a budget. It's a very expensive set.
Slotting teleport for range is better than slotting for end reduction, since having a higher range in it means you can get to your destination in fewer teleports.
I suggest dropping hasten to two common recharges instead of three and moving the extra slot to gloom. The third enhancement doesn't have much effect in there due to the power of level 50 IOs hitting ED so easily.
  4. I'd be interested as long as the teams aren't too big. Five people is about my limit. I think the number three that's being thrown around right now is good.

Completed. Defeated all the AVs in the mission except for the second Adamastor.

Now I'm going to make a mission with nothing but AVs. No minions, no lieutenants, just AVs. I hope your team has a good puller.

Wrong, as long as we had more than WWE that's all that mattered, and they are all gone now.

Actually, my statement is correct. What's wrong is the assumption that goes along with it that correlation implies causation. For example:

Fact: As Pirates have become less common, the global average temperature has increased.
    Wrong: Pirates prevent global warming.
  8. I suggest this. I refocused the procs towards damage instead of the previous utility grab bag, except in lightning storm where I replaced the chance to disorient with a chance to hold. It's a clear upgrade since holds are better than disorients, the chance to proc is higher, and it matches a set that's already in there. I also took out total focus, since its damage isn't very good, and replaced it with thunder clap to stack with dark pit.

    who cares?

NITES cared when they had the most. Suddenly they don't.
  10. Yup. I slept through it. Sadness.
  11. With my luck, I'll probably sleep through this too. I'm off to take a nap. Let's see how long it takes for me to wake up.
  12. It's because there's no longer such a thing as -max speed in pvp now. You'll have to work against the other person's movement buffs.
  13. Sonic blast for siren's song synergy, and the -res that allows for damage boosting beyond the damage cap.
  14. [ QUOTE ]
Also, something to keep in mind, is that bubble provides global +def whereas fog just provides positional.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Something that irks me a lot, because steamy mist, a power that's almost the same, gives defense to all types. Psionic attackers hurt.
  15. [ QUOTE ]
So, the $64,000 Question: How do you manage the KB from Energy, particularly in the AoE Blasts?

    [/ QUOTE ]
Well first off, the knockback in explosive blast is NOT an explosion out from the target of your blast. It's based on the target's direction from you just like every other knockback power in the game.
On indoor maps and caves you should be able to control it pretty easily using walls. If you're in a hallway, just get on one side of the enemies and throw them to one side of the hall.
Big nature-ey outdoor maps are tougher. If you hover above the enemies, then your knockback will be directioned towards the ground so they won't go very far. You can also use hurricane + super speed to get them thrown back together pretty quickly. It sometimes might be best to hold back, but that's par for the course on any storm summoning character.
  16. Not super special omg awesome area damage, but energy torrent animates quickly and both area attacks can take some good procs. They also recharge quickly, unlike ice storm which, while awesome, can leave you hanging for awhile.
  17. [ QUOTE ]
It should be something similar to a Controllers "overpower" ability I think, where buffs, debuffs and heals have a chance to critical for extra effectiveness.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Has been suggested many times, and each time a half dozen people pop in to say why it won't work. Such reasons include: force fielders would continually reapply their shields waiting for a crit, and that defenders would be ridiculously overpowered if their buffs were any better.
  18. [ QUOTE ]
Frankly, even though I said I don't like Sonic, I expected everyone to come here and say, "Get over yourself! Storm/Sonic is the best!!!!!"

    [/ QUOTE ]
I can definitely see the argument of sonic being the best, but its lack of area damage has been getting to me lately. I plan to start using my storm/energy for normal missions and getting the storm/sonic when I know there's going to be a tough AV.
  19. Yeah, electric is pretty much the worst blast set. I suggest psychic or ice since they have strong single target chains.

    Therein lies enlightenment.

    [/ QUOTE ]
    What?

    [/ QUOTE ]
It's good that you don't run away and you can still get some kicks out of it even if it's not the sort of thing you seek out.
  21. I suggest energy blast or ice blast. Ice blast because it doesn't get much better than freezing rain + ice storm, and energy blast because the combo has an unrivaled amount of positioning tools. I'm looking into bringing my old storm/energy out and getting him a new build.
  22. I agree with everyone else. If you want slow, then put extra slots in sleet. Snow storm isn't useless, but it's situational enough that it's definitely in the realm of skippable.

  24. I'd say any sort of well built duo is capable of doing just about anything in this game.
